Description

The invention relates to a package for a group of objects, in particular Single packs, consisting of bottom wall, side longitudinal walls, side cross walls and upright corner supports that extend beyond the longitudinal and transverse walls - so-called tray pack. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing and filling such packs.

Tray packs are usually open-top pack containers that come from a bottom wall and from side walls which are low in relation to the items to be packaged exist, namely longitudinal walls and transverse walls. In the present case it is Tray pack designed so that in the area of the (four) pack corners through the Longitudinal walls and transverse walls of upright corner supports are formed, which are significantly higher are as longitudinal walls and transverse walls.

What is known is an open top that also consists of a single blank Pack for the transport of beverage bottles. A cut for this pack is like this trained that it can be separated from a benefit largely without waste. The pack itself consists of longitudinal walls and transverse walls, being used for formation a bottom wall bottom tabs are only attached to the longitudinal walls. This form a broad overlap and are glued together in the area of the same connected. Recesses are formed on the side walls and on the upper ones Ends of handle openings. This well-known pack is not a typical tray pack.

Dokument EP 669257 offenbart eine Traypackung nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.Document EP 669257 discloses a tray pack according to the Preamble of claim 1.

The invention has for its object a tray pack from a single blank to be designed in such a way that the cut material and the packaging can be manufactured and filled by machine.

  • To achieve this object, the pack according to the invention is characterized by the following features:
  • f) the corner supports and areas of the longitudinal wall and transverse wall lying between them delimit a recess,
  • g) the transverse lobes and longitudinal lobes correspond in size and shape to the respectively assigned recess.
The tray pack designed in this way has a simple construction. The bottom wall is fully usable. Furthermore, the cut can be due to the nested arrangement be separated from it within a material web without waste.

The blanks for a pack in the sense of the invention can be designed in this way be that the partially overlapping floor tabs form a closed floor wall produce. Alternatively, namely when the blank is designed for maximum Material saving, the bottom wall is due to the smaller sized floor tabs provided with openings or recesses. However, these are smaller or narrower than the items or individual packs to be placed on the bottom wall.

Another specialty is the production and filling of tray packs from the present blanks. The procedure is such that the pack with an open bottom wall, So unfolded floor cloth is transported facing upwards, whereby the downward-facing corner supports rest on a cardboard track. The package contents is inserted over the open bottom wall. After that, the floor rags folded one after the other into the plane of the bottom wall. After attaching an adhesive strip the complete, filled package is turned through 180 °.

The pack shown in the drawings is for inclusion of grouped objects, namely single packs 10. These are cuboid and in orderly pack rows 11 positioned. The individual packs 10 can be Milk or other liquid packs, but also those for trade lumpy or granular packaging goods.

The pack for accommodating the individual packs 10 is a tray pack 12. It is a relative type of pack low side walls, namely longitudinal walls 13, 14 and transverse walls 15, 16. The individual packs 10 or those of these formed package contents is stored on a bottom wall 17. Die Pack or tray pack 12 is dimensioned such that the bottom wall 17 completely covered by the group of individual packs 10 is. The tray pack 12 is accordingly complete from the pack content filled.

The bottom wall 17 consists of several with the upright side walls connected folding flaps that form each other Partially cover the bottom wall 17. Inside or above Cross tabs 18, 19 are with the associated transverse walls 15 and 16 connected and folded into the plane of the bottom wall 17. longitudinal tabs 20, 21 are facing downwards and outwards, respectively connected to the longitudinal walls 13, 14. The bottom wall 17 forming Folding flaps can be sized differently. In which Embodiment according to FIG. 1 and FIG. 5 (bottom view of the Bottom wall 17) are the folding tabs, namely cross tabs 18, 19 and longitudinal tabs 20, 21 dimensioned so that a closed, gap-free bottom wall 17 is created. The longitudinal tabs 20, 21 are dimensioned so that their width is half Width of the bottom wall 17 corresponds. The one in this example equally large longitudinal tabs 20, 21 abut along a central one Separation line 22 to each other.

The transverse lobes 18, 19 and correspondingly the longitudinal lobes 20, 21 have a smaller width (transverse dimension). This means that Partial area does not cover the folding flaps. in the middle area of the bottom wall 17 creates an elongated, Rectangular opening 23. Further, correspondingly trained Openings 24 arise at corners of the tray pack 12 or the bottom wall 17. All openings 23, 24 of the bottom wall 17 are designed in this way and / or dimensioned that sufficient support of the Individual packs 10 is given, due to the dimensions and / or the position of the individual packs 10 on the bottom wall 17th

A special feature of the tray pack 12 is that the Side walls 13..16 low height in the area of packing corners merge into upright corner supports 25, 26. These are in cross section angular and capture facing corner areas of the individual packs positioned at the corners 10. The Corner supports 25, 26 have approximately the height of the individual packs 10 or slightly exceed them. Each corner support 25, 26 is made from two arranged at right angles to each other Legs 27, 28, each having an associated side wall, namely Longitudinal wall 13, 14 or transverse wall 15, 16 are assigned.

The corner supports 25, 26 or their legs 27, 28 go with a rounded contour in the assigned side wall 13..16. The legs 27, 28 each have an upper limit open recesses 29, 30 in the side walls 13..16. The recesses 29, 30 result from corresponding punchings, with the formation of the folding flaps of the bottom wall 17. Die Recesses 29 in the longitudinal walls 13, 14 or above the same correspond in size and shape to the longitudinal tabs 20, 21 of the Bottom wall. The same applies to the transverse tabs 18, 19, the correspond to the recesses 30 in the region of the transverse walls 15, 16.

The design of the tray pack 12 enables its manufacture from material-saving blanks 31, 32. These are to strip-like, finite structures that encompass the content, ie can be placed around the group of individual packs 10. To form a tray pack 12 which is closed all around a connecting strip 33 at one end of the blanks 31, 32 provided for connection to the other, opposite End of cut 31, 32. In the present case, the ends are the blanks 31, 32 in the area of a corner support 25 with one another connected. The relevant corner support 25 is thus divided between the two legs 27, 28. These are by the Connecting strips 33 on the inside, forming the corner support 25 connected, in particular by gluing.

Der Stanzschnitt folgt dabei der Kontur der Zuschnitte 31, 32.The blanks 31, 32 are made by punching from a larger one Manufactured piece of material, in particular from a material web 34 made of cardboard, corrugated cardboard or the like. The blanks 31, 32 extend in the transverse direction within the material web 34, are accordingly by transverse cuts from the material web 34 separated. The die cut follows the contour the blanks 31, 32.

Through the coordinated design and dimensioning of the Floor flaps 18..21 on the one hand and the recesses 29, 30 on the other can the blanks 31, 32 waste-free from the material web 34 are separated - except for small remnants in the Area of connecting strips 33. The floor tabs 18..21 of a blank fit into the recesses 29, 30 of an adjacent blank 31, 32. The corner supports 25, 26 form depressions 35 between the bottom flaps 18..21 of the adjacent blank.

There are different designs for the blanks 31, 32 Possibilities. In the embodiment of FIG. 7 are the bottom flaps 18..21 with a larger transverse dimension designed, namely by webs 36 as a widening of the bottom tabs 18..21 and to limit the recesses 35. These end at a distance from a folded edge 37 which the bottom wall 17th delimited from the side walls 13..16. This is the bottom rag 18..21 dimensioned in this embodiment (Fig. 4) so that a continuously closed bottom wall 17 is created (Fig. 5). The webs 36 are by punched lines 54 severed, in continuation of the corner edges 38th

The blanks 32 according to FIG. 8 have one more clear reduced material requirements compared to Fig. 7. The floor cloth 18..21 have reduced transverse dimensions. The recesses 35 extend to the folded edge 37. This results in a Design of the bottom wall 17 according to FIG. 6, ie with the Openings 23 and 24.

There are 38 perforations in the area of corner edges for easier folding 39 attached, the kinking of the legs 27, 28th facilitate in the manufacture of the tray pack 12.

A special manufacturing and filling process for such Tray packs 12 is shown schematically in FIG. 9 Plant shown.

The blanks 31, 32 are prepared for this purpose by Connect the connecting strip 33 with the associated one Leg 28 at the free opposite end. The so closed Blanks 31, 32 are folded flat under corresponding deformation in the area of diametrically opposite one another Corner edges 38. These flat intermediate structures are in an upright or oblique in a blank magazine 40 inclined position ready and individually the blank magazine 40 taken.

In the area of a first folding station, the blanks 31, 32 folded into the three-dimensional shape, in such a way that the open side or the corner supports 25, 26 down, the Floor lugs 18..21, however, are directed upwards. In the same Folding station 41 through the bottom flaps 18..21 Pressure members 42 folded outward into a funnel-shaped position, as shown using a subsequent filling station 43.

In the area of this filling station 43, the tray pack 12 is over filled the open, upwardly facing bottom wall 17.
