Definitions
- the invention relates to a pilot burner according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a pilot burner (US 3,184,337) consists of two housing shells made of formed sheet metal, which have been joined together using appropriate folds are.
- the housing shells enclose a fuel gas inlet and one Primary air inlet for supplying primary air with the fuel gas in one Mixing channel is mixed to a gas-air mixture, which is then at a gas-air mixture outlet from the pilot burner, where it is burns.
- a thermocouple is used to monitor the flame on the pilot burner provided that is heated by the flame. The warming falls z. B. after the flame goes out below a certain limit, interrupts the thermocouple via a solenoid valve to the fuel gas supply Pilot burner.
- the pilot burner e.g. B. in LPG vehicle heaters to make a flame permanently available.
- this is supposed to Igniting the main burner in the form of an atmospheric heating burner is easier are so that only the fuel gas supply can be opened
- the pilot flame ensures that, for. B. by leaks fuel gas escaping from the main burner is burned immediately. A dangerous one Concentration of not yet burned gas in the heating system is thus reliably avoided.
- This also requires an atmospheric pilot burner a high gas throughput, e.g. B. a burning power of 300 watts. If several burner units are provided to increase the total heating output a separate pilot burner is assigned to each burner unit, so that when two burner units are supplied by at least 600 watts the pilot burners are made. This is especially in the transition period at outside temperatures slightly below a comfortable room temperature and so much in vehicles with a small interior that an undesirable strong heating can occur.
- the well-known pilot burner made of sheet metal is due to the numerous process steps, such as punching, forming, inserting additional parts such as a gas nozzle and a burner screen, folding and flanging complex and expensive to manufacture.
- a watch and pilot burner with a cap Carrier part (DD 73487) has the rounded cap for outlet openings Gas-air mixture connected by a narrow ignition slot are.
- EP 0 597 645 A1 describes a further pilot burner, the housing shells of which are made of sheet metal and assembled with suitable folds become.
- the invention has for its object a pilot burner of the aforementioned Specify type, the production of which is greatly simplified.
- the housing shells also in larger quantities and with complex geometry. This also applies if applicable another machining post-processing, e.g. B. by milling or drilling, required should be.
- the two housing shells have an identical one Geometry so that only one mold has to be made. If the Suitable increases and depressions, z. B. pins and holes have, they can be put together and by the resulting press dressing held together without additional Fasteners such as screws or folds are required.
- the A gas nozzle for supplying fuel gas can also be put together insert a recess in the housing shells by assembling the housing shells is firmly connected to the pilot burner.
- the gas-air mixture outlet has a curved outlet cross section and several Enlargements on. This leads to a curved flame leak, what the burning behavior is significantly improved and also in the event of external disturbances - e.g. B. by rare winds - a stable and clean flame pattern guaranteed.
- channels for generating directed flame cones are formed. With three enlargements it is possible to switch the pilot burner between Arrange two heating burners, with the pilot burner two on the side extending flame cone, each directed towards the heating burners. On third flame cone can lead to a thermocouple monitoring the pilot burner be performed. Even if one of the flame cones is due to a cross wind should go out, it will be ignited immediately afterwards since the Flame along the curved exit cross-section to the extinguished one Flame channel strikes back.
- the bevel provided on the outer surface is particularly trouble-free and reliable supply of secondary air to the gas-air mixture to burn completely in the flame.
- the heating power of the pilot burner according to the invention is at about 180 watts, so that the undesirable heating by effect of the pilot burner can be significantly reduced.
- the pilot burner has a lower housing shell 1 and an upper housing shell 2, which is rod-shaped with an essentially rectangular plan extend so that a simple and easy to manufacture geometry is achieved can be.
- the two housing shells 1, 2 are in an aluminum die casting process or completely in a forging process with the required final dimensions manufactured. They can also consist of other suitable materials, which have sufficient temperature resistance, such as. B. brass, Zinc or stainless steel. Post-processing is only for removing any ridges or sprues may be required. Depending on the embodiment can also have certain contours on the housing shells 1, 2 by post-processing with a machining process be performed.
- the housing shells 1, 2 can be inserted into bores 3 by means of not shown Screw connections held together. You can do this in one of the Housing shells holes and provided in the other associated thread his. Alternatively, it is also possible to drill 1, 2 holes in both housing shells and provide suitable receptacles 4 for flat nuts, not shown.
- both Housing shells 1, 2 have an identical geometry and thus in the same Mold can be made. It is particularly beneficial if each of the housing shells 1, 2 extensions and not shown in the figures Has depressions which are inserted into one another when the housing shells 1, 2 are joined together can be. If the extensions - e.g. B. in the form of cylindrical Pins - have slightly larger external dimensions than the - z. B. cylindrical - Wells, a stable is created when the housing shells 1, 2 are joined together Press fit, which the housing shells 1, 2 without additional fasteners holds together. In addition, it is the joining to a simple and compared to fastening several screws quick assembly process.
- the housing shells 1, 2 each have a fuel gas inlet on one side 5 serving semi-cylindrical recess in which when assembling the housing shells 1, 2, a gas nozzle, not shown, for supplying Fuel gas, e.g. B. liquid or natural gas can be used.
- Fuel gas e.g. B. liquid or natural gas
- the gas nozzle is used such that the fuel gas is in an antechamber 6 Directs a Venturi channel serving as a mixing channel 7.
- the venturi channel has an oval cross section on its input side 7a, which is up to one Diffuser section 7b merges into a circular cross section.
- the fuel gas stream breaks via injector openings serving as primary air inlet 8 in the anteroom 6 primary air from the environment with, which is in the Venturi channel mixed with the fuel gas.
- the gas-air mixture becomes essentially one Cylindrical calming chamber 9 calms and flows over you Gas-air mixture outlet 10 to the outside where it is burned.
- the gas-air mixture outlet 10 has an angle of 180 ° curved and also linear portions at both ends of the curvature having outlet cross-section on, among other things, three flame channels 11, 12, 13 includes.
- the outlet cross section has the gas-air mixture outlet 10 between the flame channels 11, 12, 13 in the form of a slot 14 only a very small height, while at the Flame channels 11, 12, 13 themselves emit considerably more gas-air mixture can.
- the three flames can be used to make a single pilot burner with its pending flames 11 and 13 each one Heating burner supplied while the flame on the flame channel 12 is directed to a thermocouple to monitor the pilot burner.
- bevels 15, 16 On the outside of the two housing shells 1, 2 are in the area of the gas-air mixture outlet 10 bevels 15, 16 provided to the rear leak from a housing edge.
- the bevels 15, 16 facilitate the Supply of secondary air sucked in by the flame during combustion and is needed to achieve optimal combustion.
- the secondary air can gently lead to the flash point due to the bevels 15, 16 without having to flow around sharp edges of the housing.
