- a damper of a comparable type is, for example, from the publication EP-A-0 574 652 known.
- Piston dampers are known for winter sports equipment such as alpine skis, their pistons formed displacement element under shock load a damping medium, e.g. a liquid, a gas, a gel or a mixture of such fluids, more or less compressed.
- the damper can, for example, in a toe piece be arranged in the binding or in a so-called base plate Ski binding. It is also conceivable to place the damper between the jaws and his Base plate or in front of the binding assembly zone in connection with the ski to arrange.
- FIGS. 13 and 14 System for changing the stiffness of a ski becomes a damper construction used in the case of a piston-side hydraulic chamber via a check valve is connected to a hydraulic chamber on the piston rod side.
- Parallel to Check valve is a throttle valve which bypasses this in the blocking direction and is adjustable by the skier provided that depending on its setting the respective Defines damping hardness. How the throttle valve is adjusted is not revealed.
- an electronic control valve used for displaced damping medium.
- the electronic control valve is designed as a magnet-actuated micro miniature valve, which is usually under the relatively low temperatures when skiing slowly appeals to one has relatively poor efficiency, and requires a relatively large amount of electricity.
- the invention has for its object a damper of the aforementioned To create kind, the damping effect is controllable while working.
- the damping effect of the Control the damper in a targeted manner because, depending on the setting of the valve, that of the displacement element displaced damping medium with lower or higher resistance or can no longer flow into the compensation chamber.
- the piezo element acts as a valve element of the adjustable Valve. When the voltage is applied, the piezo element moves, preferably pulsating, causing the flow of the displaced damping medium can control in an almost ideal way to the momentary damping effect adjust the current conditions. Of vibrations Shocks from the ski can be dampened in a controlled manner in this way.
- the damping effect is controlled as a function of the current position, movement, direction of movement, speed or Acceleration of the displacement element. This is useful because of the displacement element shock movements into the damping medium resulting from vibrations introduces and therefore optimal as a reference for tapping such parameters is suitable for controlling the damping effect.
- the energy for the movements of the piezo element provided by the power source.
- the control electronics determine how the piezo element moves to adjust the valve. Doing so also take into account other parameters than those mentioned above.
- the response of the piezo element to the Predetermine the setting device According to claim 5, the response of the piezo element to the Predetermine the setting device.
- the sensor arrangement is used in each case as for Control of the damping effect provided usable parameters.
- the upstream controls downstream of the through opening pulsating end region of the piezo element a harder or softer or very hard damping.
- parameters for controlling the damping effect can be achieved by means of at least one sensor, e.g. also a proximity sensor for the displacement element, tap.
- sensors are expediently used, by which one follows the movement of the displacement element while the other is stationary relative to it. It would also be conceivable about the stroke of the displacement element to distribute several stationary sensors to a kind consequently position, speed, acceleration or direction display to obtain.
- the sensors can have their own evaluation circuit be linked to each other to create powerful and meaningful useful signals for the Control electronics to win.
- the damper is effective between a toe holder or a heel holder and its base plate arranged in one area So, correctly in the forces or shocks resulting from ski-related ski vibrations are tapped or in the toe and / or heel holder of the Integrated ski binding, preferably in a motion-transmitting coupling with the Locking device.
- the damper is effective between two each the ski connected base plates arranged, for example, in ski deflections move closer to or away from each other so that the Damper a quick and effective return of the ski in its essence not bent basic position.
- the damper is effective between an abutment arranged on the ski and a binding part fastened to the ski in order to prevent driving Counteract ski deflections when they arise.
- the damper is by means of a force-transmitting element, like a strut. In this way, large forces or initiate strong movements in the damper or the damping with large Transfer forces or lever arms to the ski.
- a damper E shown in FIG. 1 in a partial longitudinal section points in one Housing 4 has a chamber 1 in which a displacement element K, e.g. a piston 2, is movable.
- the chamber 1 is filled with a damping medium M, e.g. one Gas, a liquid, a gel or a mixture of such substances, i.e. a more or less compressible medium.
- a damping medium M e.g. one Gas, a liquid, a gel or a mixture of such substances, i.e. a more or less compressible medium.
- the piston 2 is a Force introduction element 3 connected, in the direction of movement of the displacement element K acting forces or shocks A can be attacked.
- the housing 4 is held stationary, for example.
- the displacement element K is against the direction of displacement is acted upon by a prestressing spring 5, the prestressing thereof is adjustable, for example by a nut 6.
