Definitions

  • connection / disconnection module of isolated electrical conductor pairs.
  • Such modules are particularly intended for the constitution of connection assemblies and mixing connections between pairs of conductors.
  • Document EP-A-0 248 743 discloses a modular device for connecting insulated conductor pairs.
  • This device comprises an insulating support, two nesting stacks of tubular contacts in the support, guide means allowing axial relative displacement, but not angular between each contact and the support, and an actuating screw ensuring that relative translation between two of the contacts side by side and the support.
  • the contacts are all identical. Each of them has its two insulation displacement ends, for the connection of a conductor in one of the insulation displacement ends, and has one end plugged into the other end of another contact in each stack.
  • the support comprises plugs themselves pluggable, which are retained on a metal base and connected to the ground and which hold internally between them the two stacks of contacts. Passages are provided in the sockets, being opposite the self-cutting ends of the contacts. They receive the electrical conductors, which are connected in the insulation displacement ends by the simultaneous relative movement between the side-by-side contacts and one of the sockets, provided by actuation of the screw then anchoring in the base.
  • the removal of the stacked contacts can also be achieved by actuating the screw and removing it from the base, for unplugging resulting from the previously stacked contacts.
  • This known device may also include a surge protector for protecting equipment connected to the electrical conductors.
  • This surge protector is removably mounted on an intermediate socket in the stack of sockets. It has two line protection terminals, connected to the two upper contacts of the two contact stacks, and a ground terminal electrically connected to the intended conductive screw.
  • connection / disconnection device is relatively complex both in the number of independent parts mounted separately from each other. other than by the operations and the duration of assembly / disassembly resulting for the connection / disconnection of the pairs of conductors.

It is retractable using a screwdriver or the like for the desired stall of the connection module / disconnection.
  • This rail is a standard metal rail, in particular a rail "DIN 35", on which the end contactor 66A of the mass contact is in elastic support.
  • Figures 5 and 6 show the connection / disconnection module in an initial position of the plugs 1 and 2 on the base 30 of the support 3, the pushers 12 and 22 themselves being in an initial position on their respective contacts 11 and 21.
  • each of the buttons on its two contacts the two passages 13 or 23 of the pusher are located just end of the insulation displacement slots 14 or 24 of the contacts 11 and 21 and are not closed by the contacts.
  • each of the pushers is movable in one direction on its two contacts, from its initial position to a final position. In this final position of the pusher, the passages 13 or 23 will be closed by the contacts concerned.
  • a slight peripheral shoulder 11A on the intermediate portion of the contacts 11 and two small lateral teeth 21A on the intermediate portion of the contacts 21 allow stable holding of the contacts in their pusher and allow the movement of each of the pushers in one direction only on the contacts.
  • two wide lateral teeth 21 B on the flat contacts 21 are provided substantially at the same level as the bottom of their elastic slot 25. They allow, on the one hand the stopping of the flat contacts 21 in their housings 61 in the stud 5, by abutment of the teeth 21 B against the edge of the rectangular opening 69 of these housing. On the other hand, they allow the pusher 22 to stop in its final position on the flat contacts, by abutting the bottom of the recesses 27 against these teeth, while the pusher 22 itself comes into abutment against the stud 6.
  • connection / disconnection of two pairs of insulated conductors is specified with particular reference to these FIGS. 5 and 6.
  • the connection of these pairs of conductors is carried out in two stages using a clamp, by actuating the two pushers one after the other from their initial position to their final position on their contacts and by plugging resulting from the two cards.
  • the first plug 1 is partially or completely withdrawn from the support 3 for connection to the second plug 2 of that of the pairs of conductors assigned to it.
  • the partial or total withdrawal of the first plug 1 is done by pulling on the pusher 12, which carries with it its two tubular contacts. • the two leads are inserted into the two passages 23 of the pusher 22.
  • the two insulated conductors of the other pair are inserted into the two passages 13 of the pusher 12 of the first plug 1, this first plug being partially plugged into the stud 6 after or before insertion.
  • the first pusher 12 is then actuated in its final position on its tubular contacts 11, with the aid of the clamp whose jaws ensure the grip of the pusher 12 and the pad 6 or the pusher 22 between them.
  • the contacts 11 are fully plugged into the housings 21 of the stud and the contacts 61 already in the final position therein.
  • connection of the two pairs of conductors connected to the plugs 1 and 2 results from the plugging of these two plugs into one another in the stud 6.
  • Their disconnection for the cutting of the lines thus connected is done by unplugging the plugs, using a screwdriver or the like operated lever or even the finger, for the separation of one and / or the other of the pins of the stud 6.
  • a test operation can be performed similarly by unplugging the plugs.
  • the overvoltage protection is provided by the surge protection module (FIG. 2) then seated on the stud 6.
  • connection / disconnection module Protection of the connections in the connection / disconnection module, against surrounding aggressions, can also be ensured by the use and confinement of a grease in the module.
  • the pushers 12 and 13 are transparent to facilitate the direct verification of the correct connection of the conductors in the contacts.
  • connection / disconnection module with a reduced number of parts and preassembled to form the two plugs 1 and 2 plug in the support and thus one in the other, makes the procedure very simple and easy, without any organ special integrated for this purpose in the module. It also reduces the cost of the module and the duration of the operating mode accordingly.
  • connection / disconnection module without associated protection comprises the two connection plugs 1 and 2 and the insulating support 3 of the module of FIG. 2 and a mask, which then replaces the surge protection module 7. and is used to come to cap the pad 6.
  • This connection / disconnection module may or may not be equipped with two contacts 65 and the ground contact 66 in the pad 6.
  • Such a cache may be similar in shape to that of the module surge protector, or of simplified form.
