Espagnolette or sspagnolette-lock (1) the operating rods (3, 4) of which extend above and below the control drive (2), respectively, according to claim 1, characterised in that the pitch diameter (18) of the toothed sector (16) with which engages the toothed rack (6) of the operating rod (3) extending above the control mechanism (2) is chosen smaller than the pitch diameter (19) of the toothed sector (17) that engages the toothed rack (7) of the operating rod (4) extending below said control mechanism (2), in order to impart to the latter operating rod (4) a displacement of more significant amplitude with respect to the displacement imparted to the other operating rod (3) during controls for unlocking and locking.

Espagnolette or espagnolette-lock (1) according to claim 3, characterised in that it includes a casing (8) designed capable of accommodating the control mechanism (2) and comprised of a bottom and a lid made integral by means of spacers (21 22) made simultaneously and through the same manufacturing process as the tumbler (10) and the reversing pinion (5), while being made integral with the latter through retractable connecting means (20).
