Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for surface treatment of workpieces made of aluminum, aluminum alloys, Magnesium or magnesium alloys.
- a matting process is known after polishing perform.
- Scotch lamellar wheels are used.
- a larger layer thickness creating anodizing which also leads to a leads to a matt surface.
- anodized cracks can occur that are visually unattractive in appearance to step.
- Another way to create a matt surface is given that in addition to the grinding and polishing mentioned not just an anodizing process, but additional a pickling process is also carried out. this leads to but not to a matt gloss on the surface, but rather dulling, that is, the desired optical surface effect of a matt silky sheen is not achieved.
- the invention has for its object a method of the kind mentioned at the beginning to create the to a high quality, even and preferably matt surface of the workpiece. Further by the surface treatment according to the invention Blank defects almost completely covered, so that the reject rate drops.
- this object is achieved by that the surface is treated with a brush, preferably roughened, and with or afterwards with one cooling additional medium is applied, wherein melted the surface by brushing and by the additional medium the surface temperature is controlled so that there is a surface structure according to an orange peel, and that then a surface treatment by means of a galvanic process or painting he follows.
- a surface treatment by means of a galvanic process or painting he follows.
- “orange peel” is in the course this application understood that the surface a Numerous microscopic elevations and / or Has depressions. These increases and / or Dents go - as usual with an orange peel - continuously into each other and are with a certain regularity on the surface of the workpiece.
- the method according to the invention is characterized by the fact that the before Treatment of the surface with a galvanic Process or process step before painting a brushing under simultaneous or subsequent application of a cool one Additional medium is that the formation of a Has orange peel as its target.
- This invention The procedure is in a complete departure from the previously known Procedural procedures since the known procedures Always aim to do so, preferably first multi-stage mechanical processing First, make the surface smoother For example, first grind and then close polishing.
- This procedure is through the invention perforated because of the galvanic treatment or a process step is carried out before painting which leads to a certain roughness of the Surface of the workpiece leads.
- the invention Treatment with the brush leads to one Initial surface that has been polished, for example is to increase the surface roughness, what so far to the previous one, from the state of the art known efforts, namely an ever smoother Surface before a final process step (Electroplating / painting) to achieve in Opposes.
- a surface that a has a silky sheen and is completely homogeneous acts, so hardly of line formations or the like is disturbed.
- the first due to the brushing process Has micro dashes
- the clarity of these Micro-stroke structure due to the melting effect decreases so that a more leveled orange peel structure appears after the Electroplating and / or painting a high quality Looks.
- the finished surface falls into itself completely evenly, homogeneously and semi-gloss, so that the appearance does not go through isolated lines or angular structures or the like is impaired.
- Brushing and applying an additional medium are in a preferred embodiment the invention simultaneously or in succession, carried out once or several times in succession. This is the formation of the orange peel microscopic elevations and / or depressions particularly influenceable.
- the surface before roughening with the brush and the application of a cooling additional medium the surface has a roughness depth, which is less than after brushing.
- the Brushing process and the application of the additional medium is the desired roughness of the Elevations and / or depressions of the orange peel structure generated.
- the one before brushing the lower surface roughness is already there by making the workpiece before, for example if it is a casting, or is through appropriate surface treatment such as grinding, polishing, lapping, rolling, blasting etc. generated.
- the round brush is preferred by means of a drive, for example by means of a Brushing machines, set in rotation.
- the bristles of the round brush run radially to the axis of rotation of the brush, that is, there are corresponding ones Discs or rings in front.
- the bristles point in the direction point of the axis of rotation, that is, the brush points a turntable, from which the individual bristles go out orthogonally.
- Brushing is preferably carried out in such a way that the bristles hitting the surface of the workpiece hit.
- the individual bristle ends run through a circle, to which the surface of the workpiece is like a Tangent or secant is present.
- micro-strokes that are very short, close together are distributed close to the surface and the orange peel structure due to the melting effect form. The melting of the surface is caused by frictional heat generated by the Brushing process is generated.
- a wire brush is used as the brush, in particular a wire brush used becomes. So a wire brush with bristles is enough Brass wire, nickel silver wire, steel wire, stainless steel wire, Copper wire, fiber, cord or the like for use. However, it is also possible that as a brush, a plastic bristle brush, in particular a round plastic bristle brush is used becomes. This has plastic bristles in the bristles stored abrasive grains.
- an anodizing process is used.
- the anodization takes place in a known, desired manner, wherein the various parameters of the anodizing process (such as current, used electrolytes etc.) can be varied.
- the shine is also - as with anodizing - a chemical / electrical one Method. This shine will however only carried out so intensely until the desired roughness is achieved.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention come as an additional medium pasty, liquid and / or viscous substances are used. Through the properties of these selectable substances is laxation the heat from the machined surface easy to control. This way, pasty substances remain longer on the processed surface as a liquid Substances and take more heat from the surface on. On the other hand, transport thin, flowing additional media due to a faster Draining a larger amount of heat per unit of time from.
- Another preferred embodiment of the invention sets fats and / or oils as additional medium and / or emulsions and / or abrasives and / or Grinding pastes and / or polishing pastes and / or water-containing Substances and / or water. This results in Depending on your choice, you can also influence on the control of heat dissipation.
- the type can be how the heat is dissipated from the surface influence. This is how a continuous feed results of the additional medium a continuous Transfer of heat from the machined surface on the additional medium and thus a continuous Dissipation of heat from the surface. In contrast leads drop by drop to one kind of "pump effect", that is, the heat is only intermittent from the surface to the additional medium transmitted so that the temperature "breathes".
- the additional medium flows in different Quantities per unit of time from the surface from. A control of the surface amount of heat dissipated per unit of time is so much simply possible.
- An aluminum workpiece created as a forged part is first ground using corundum tape. Subsequently is processed with a sisal fabric ring and then with a fabric disc, to polish the surface of the workpiece.
- the present polished surface is brushed with simultaneous or subsequent exposure to a cooling Additional medium roughened.
- the brush has one on the axis of a drive attachable core, radially from which the bristles originate.
- the brush forms approximately the shape of a disc, whereby the thickness of the disc the width of the bristle pack corresponds.
- the cooling additional medium using fluid-promoting agents such as hoses or pipes brought up to the workpiece and then associated with its surface. After finishing the brushing process at the same time or subsequent application of a cooling additional medium is the surface of the Anodized workpiece, i.e. an anodized bath exposed.
- the anodizing process is carried out accordingly set parameters carried out until the desired layer thickness is set.
- the round brush 1 shows a round brush 1, the brush core 2 rotates about an axis of rotation 3.
- the round brush 1 has radially extending to the axis of rotation 3 Bristles 4 on. With the free ends of the bristles 4 a workpiece 5 is brushed so that its surface is roughened. The workpiece 5 is with an additional medium 6 is applied. After brushing the workpiece 5, which is made of aluminum, anodized.
- FIG. 2 again illustrates the invention Block diagram method.
- Block 10 illustrates the grinding of the workpiece 5.
- a Polishing process represented by the block 20 becomes.
- the invention takes place Brushing with simultaneous exposure to a cooling additional medium according to block 30.
- the anodizing of the Workpiece 5 performed.
- the procedural steps "Brushing” and “cooling” through the additional medium can According to a further embodiment, too can be repeated several times.
- the surface has hardly any Glare on exposure to the sun, but has a matt silky sheen.
- the surface of the workpiece for example, ground, polished, rolled, blasted and / or lapped.
- the choice of Initial surface before brushing according to the invention depends on which end surface is desired becomes. The procedure is applicable to everyone anodized materials, especially on aluminum and aluminum alloys.
- the invention Process leads to the production of a uniform matt surface. The cutting speed when brushing the finished surface changes to Nuances. The same applies to the additional medium or the additional media, which varies in type and quantity can be.
