Definitions
- the invention relates to branch terminals, with the help of which a branch wire is electrically connected to a main wire.
- Both the main wire and the branch wire are on their outer circumference provided with a wire seal.
- terminal housings are already used, in which the Branch wire is inserted in a terminal block, which is transverse to Insertion direction by means of a contact screw opposite the Terminal housing can be pressed radially against the main wire. Because the clamp has contact tips directed against the main wire, and even from electrical conductive material, the main wire does not have to be insulated are exempted, as these from the contact tips of the contact stone is penetrated. This will save time in manufacturing the electrical connection on an underground cable reduced.
- Such a terminal housing shows DE-A-26 28 633, with an additional Seal the tensioning element, which seals the branch wire against the Contact element presses.
- DE-A-44 shows such a sleeve 03 881.
- the inlet of the branch cable is opposite the Socket housing sealed with a seal.
- Damage to the cable jacket outside the sleeve can cause so-called Longitudinal water in cable gussets or even in a wire insulation run and on this way in the sleeve. This is e.g. B. prevented by potting.
- Such branch terminals are usually located multiple times within a sleeve, namely for each core of the branch cable or main cable, before, and are in there Form of a so-called clamping ring that the entire, continuous Main cable radially surrounds, summarized.
- the main cable only has to be removed from its cable seal, not, however, be exempt from the individual wire seals, to the extent that a slight spreading apart of the individual wires of the main cable for the purpose Better handling is possible, which is achieved by using wedges and spacers can be achieved.
- the branch terminal With the branch terminal, the internal, metallic bare Contact points isolated from the environment by all openings after individually isolated on the outside. On the one hand, this is the enema of the Branch wire in the branch terminal, and on the other hand the contact point of the Contact element, so a contact stone or a milling screw with cutter-like cutting on the front end of the screw, opposite the main wire and thirdly around the contact screw, which leads to the Screwing must be accessible from the outside, and only before or after Tightening is sealed from the environment.
- a seal In the case of several, combined in the form of a clamping ring, Branch clamps, a seal must still be used on those separating wedges or Spacers may be provided between the wires of the main cable, which the wire seals could penetrate.
- the individual branch terminals themselves consist of a shaft-like insulating plastic existing from the main wire to be contacted radially pioneering housing, which on the inner as well as on the outer each end is open and from the inside to the outside in the clamping ring can be inserted.
- the part of the manhole directed towards the main vein has a larger one Inside diameter, because the contact stone sits in it.
- the contact stone is with slightly oversized in the manhole part.
- the contact tips of the contact block penetrate the main wire seal, when the clamping ring is closed with the two screws 14.
- the contact stone is opened in an opening parallel to the main wire the stripped end of the branch wire inserted.
- this also points shaft-shaped housing on a side passage for the branch wire.
- the first seal is used to seal this inlet, which is done axially pressed elastic seal happens, which around the branch wire - if necessary with a conical narrowing of the passage for the branch wire - against the end face of the shaft part of the housing or against this housing surrounding clamping ring presses and by means of an external pressure plate and a pressure screw that dips into the clamping ring or the housing, is axially clamped.
- This axial bracing causes deformation this first seal in the radial direction as this is the only one Represents alternative, and thus also radially against the outer circumference of the Branch wire, which gives a high contact pressure of the seal.
- the Thrust plate an axially protruding, the alternative of the first Delimit seal, have edge.
- the second opening is the one that protrudes radially inward from the housing Contact stone that penetrates the main vein with its contact tips.
- the third opening is the radially outward opening of the chimney part of the terminal housing, which serves to access the contact screw. After tightening the contact screw and thus establishing the contact this chimney part is closed by a cover cap, which on the is snapped radially outer end of the chimney part. This will be a third Seal previously inserted in the cover cap, which is dimensioned so that it when snapping onto the front end of the chimney part of the terminal housing is pressed against this and thus creates a good seal there.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 the uncontacted, relaxed state and in the lower half of the picture the contacted state shown.
- the clamping ring 4 consists of an upper half 4a and one lower half 4b, the main cable, which comprises four main wires 6, radially surrounds. Accordingly, four branch terminals 20 are also in the clamping ring 4 available.
- the entire clamping ring is received within a sleeve 12, of which only the right sleeve half-shell is shown.
- This clamping ring is used when the contact stones 8 penetrate into the contacting main wires 6 to prevent their evasion, and on the other hand to support the individual branch terminals 20 radially on the outside and thus the Close power flow.
- each branch terminal 20 has an im essentially radially extending, shaft-like housing 17, which inside and is on the outside, and also in the direction of passage of the housing 17th is always open.
- a paragraph divides into a radial inner shaft part 17b with a larger inner cross section and a radial outer narrower chimney part 17a.
- the contact block 8 which has a passage 19 ", fits into the shaft part 17b. or at least one blind hole open on one side for inserting the stripped End of the branch wire 5 has.
- the shaft section is also aligned with this 17b of the housing 17 of the branch terminal via a passage 19 ', as well as in the case the inclusion in a clamping ring 4, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, too the surrounding clamping ring via a corresponding passage 19th
- An internal winch is aligned with the chimney part 17a in the contact stone, in which a matching grub screw as contact screw 9 along the terminal housing 17 can be screwed. Via a with the chimney part 17a aligned bore, which reaches the passage 19 "for the branch wire 5, When screwing forward, the contact screw 9 presses the branch wire 5 in Passage 19 "firmly.
- the contact tips 18 Before contacting is continued around the contact tips 18, and in particular a second plate-shaped seal 2 around the entire contact block 8 between the radially inner edge of the terminal housing 17 and the Outer circumference of the main wire 6 to be contacted.
- the contact tips 18 there is either a central recess or the contact tips are long enough to include this core in addition to the core gasket 6 To penetrate seal beforehand.
- the first seal is thereby activated by assigning a half 4a or 4b of the clamping ring kidney-shaped pressure plate 16a, 16b by three pressure screws 13, which the Penetrate the pressure plate 16a and the first seal 1 and into the associated Half z. B. 4a of the clamping ring 4 are screwed in, whereby the first Seal 1 is pressed in the longitudinal direction 10, that is axially.
- this first seal 1 like all seals, is made of a deformable, water-impermeable material, the first seal 1 deforms, there is a dodging in the radial direction and thus also radially to inside against the outer circumference of the wire seal of the branch wire 5. This there is a good sealing system on the outer circumference of the wire seal the branch wire 5.
- the activated, tense Condition touch the first seal 1 and the second seal 2.
- the first seal 1 Since it primarily relies on the sealing of all openings of the terminal housing 17, which consists of insulating material arrives, but the first seal 1 on the other hand, seals only indirectly by the first seal 1 relative to the Clamping ring 4 is placed on the end face, it is important that the first seal 1 is chosen large that it also the front joint 23 between the clamping ring 4 and the terminal housing 17 bridges, which is given by the fact that on radially inner end of the terminal housing 17 an axially in both directions striving flange edge, the face up to the face of the Clamping ring 4 is enough.
- the remaining opening of the terminal housing 17 is now the outer end Opening of the chimney part 17a. After screwing in the Contact screw 9 remains radially outside of contact screw 9 available space up to the radially outer end of the chimney part 17a.
- the chimney part 17a is closed by fitting a cover cap 11 on the front outer end of the chimney part 17a, being a fixed Connection is achieved by a locking connection 25. From this cover cap 11, a central displacement pin 26 extends as far as possible in the chimney part 17a against the contact screw 9 to the free space outside the To reduce the contacting screw 9 in the chimney part 17a as much as possible.
- the displacer pin 26 also has a cross section that corresponds approximately to the inner, free cross section of the chimney part 17a.
- the third seal 3 between the cap 11 and the front outer end of the chimney part 17a is annular and inside the Cover cap 11 inserted around the displacer pin 26. She has one such a thickness that when the cover cap 11 snaps into the snap connection 25 this annular third seal 3 axially between the outer end face of the Chimney part 17a and the cover surface of the cap 11 axially, that is radially with respect to the longitudinal direction 10 of the overall arrangement.
- Fig. 1 also shows that in a half 4a or 4b of the clamping ring recorded terminal housing 17 are integrally formed with each other and have between them a spacer 15 which is plate-shaped is formed radially with a pointed front end, and from the radial inner end of the terminal housing continues radially inward.
- This Spacer 15 penetrates between two main wires 6 and holds them in desired distance from each other and thus prevents lateral evasion the main wires 6 when making contact with a terminal block 8.
- the separating wedges 7 are provided with radial pointedly protruding combs 21 or a plurality of individual tips, the training in the form of radially extending combs the insertion of the Separating wedges made easier compared to the solution with individual tips.
- the combs 21 or the individual tips of these Separate wedges 7 with a fourth seal which is preferably fixed the separating wedge 7 is connected. It is important to ensure that the outermost ridge still on the outside of this fourth Seal 24 is surrounded, which is why preferably the entire separating wedge 7 of the fourth seal 4, at least in the area of the combs 21, and this completely enclose, is surrounded.
- the separating wedges 7 are according to the contour of the adjacent main veins 6 radially outside of Main veins widened to provide a stop when moving forward. At the the radially rear end is supported in the tensioned state of the clamping ring Wedges 7 with their beveled ends on the inner circumference of the Clamping ring.
