Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an endless napkin. In particular, it affects one Endless paper napkin in roll form.
  • Napkins currently on the market are packaged as individual serviettes sold.
  • the napkins consist of multi-layer (mostly three-layer) Tissue material, the individual layers held together by embossing on the edges become.
  • These single napkins are usually square in format with an edge length of between 100 and 500 mm, preferably 260 mm.
  • the disadvantage of the single napkin is that it is usually square Format is limited, because of the packaging is rarely kept within reach and therefore usually has to be stowed away.
  • US-A-3 326 365 shows an endless napkin in the form of a roll from a printed, paper material wound on a sleeve with perforations recurring at intervals.
  • paper can be printed in one or more layers become. With more color application and lower grammage (finer layers) must however, color bleeding can be expected. Both are for one more aesthetically pleasing design common. A higher color application reduces the Absorbency of the material, while a rough, absorbency enhancing creped or embossed surface has a negative impact on print quality.
  • kitchen rolls are printed in one layer. Streaking through the ink is not to be feared due to the low ink application in order to achieve the absorbency and printing speed despite the grammage of 20 g / m 2 .
  • Kitchen rolls differ fundamentally from serviettes because they are made of wet crepe paper. Because of the printing process to be used with this material and to achieve the high printing speed, namely the flexographic printing with photopolymer plates, the roll products known in the prior art have repetitive white edges which cannot be avoided precisely because of the use of photopolymer plates.
  • napkins have a smooth surface and good print quality, but are less absorbent due to the smooth surface and the lack of embossing.
  • multi-layer printing must be carried out on napkins in order to prevent the ink from streaking onto the impression cylinder (see, for example, DE-A-195 34 812).
  • the layer thickness or grammage of a conventional napkin layer is approx. 20 g / m 2 , which leads to the color streaking through in single-layer printing in color-intensive full-color printing.
  • Conventional napkin material is therefore printed in at least two layers in an endless process. This is followed by embossing and cutting into individual serviettes, which are only made available as end products in this form. Since the decorative element is in the foreground of napkins, a higher absorbency is not necessary.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a product which has the advantages of the napkin, namely a color-intensive, aesthetically pleasing printing in continuous flexographic printing or gravure printing (full color printing) and thereby an aesthetically pleasing Appearance as well as a smooth surface with corresponding sensory properties, with the absorbency of the kitchen paper and with its availability Roll.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide a variable format napkin to provide, which is quickly at hand and can be stored accordingly.
  • the endless serviette according to the invention should have a print quality and decor design do not differ from the conventional napkin.
  • a still further object of the invention is to provide a method for To provide manufacture of such a product.
  • the object of the invention is achieved by an endless napkin in the form of a Roll from a multilayer, printed on one or both sides, wound on a sleeve Tissue material with perforation across the width at intervals (b) the web, where the printed web (s) consist of smooth tissue material and are printed in full color.
  • the preferred embodiments of the napkin according to the invention are in the Claims specified.
  • the perforations in are 15 to 30 cm and even more preferably 15 to 26 cm Distances (b) from 5 to 180 cm, preferably from 10 to 50 cm, preferably 15 to 30 cm and more preferably 26 cm to each other.
  • the The distance between the perforations (b) remains unchanged over the length of the paper web (equal).
  • the perforation distance (b) corresponds to the roll width (a) so that the roll can be broken down into square sections. The printing is done in full color.
  • the product is manufactured using a process that first involves a web smooth tissue material printed in one layer in full color, then the printed web with at least another tissue web, then minted with this is connected, perforations across the width of the web into the multilayer Material are introduced and the web obtained is wound on a sleeve.
  • the technical advantage of the process is the ability to sandwich products several tissue layers or webs with different functions and To provide properties that are printed on one or both sides with high quality could be. This will share the advantages of the napkin in terms of aesthetics combined with that of kitchen paper in terms of absorbency.
  • the endless napkin can still save space on one Dispensers are attached centrally in the household.
  • the individual napkins can each unrolled and demolished as needed.
  • the invention thus represents a Aesthetic requirements for a napkin are sufficient, high quality Product available that is also practical and in terms of format and decor is highly variable.
  • the endless napkin according to the invention is also versatile. In particular can several contiguous sections as a place mat for the dining table or can be used as a table runner at the dining or living room table. Because of the printing process the decor can be designed freely. Plain or abstract printed Versions can be used universally. In addition, occasion-related designs (Easter, Christmas, birthday, carnival, anniversary, company celebrations ...) chosen and be adapted to the respective application.
  • the endless napkin preferably has Scatter prints or a full-surface printing on. Of course, at square shape of the individual paper sections the individual along the perforation torn serviette can be folded decoratively just like a conventional serviette.
  • the width of the print can be one-lane or else multi-lane and in different widths, for example 5 to 180 cm.
  • Gravure or flexographic printing are suitable as printing processes. in addition due to the process, there is a real continuous printing in the reported endless format. in the Flexo printing does this, for example, with laser-engraved endless rubber sleeves. In contrast to the kitchen rolls printed with photopolymer plates, here is one Endless printing possible without cutting or adhesive edges. The result is a Continuous print image without an annoying white edge, which changes when using would repeat photopolymer plates regularly.
  • the repeat is also on the distance length between the perforations, i.e. the section length of the serviceable napkin, possible. This allows the motif to be repeated evenly on every napkin.
  • the Repeat avoidance of hard color transitions and offers on the Roll a harmonious impression.
  • the paper web is preferably made of a multi-layer tissue material 2 to 5 layers, more preferably 3 layers, for example on a fixed one Sleeve with a diameter (d) of 3 to 10 cm, preferably about 4 cm wrapped.
  • the sleeve can be made of any suitable material, preferably cardboard, Be made of wood or plastic. If necessary, the sleeve can be trade a solid or hollow body.
  • the sleeve can be used in the longitudinal direction Complete the paper width, slightly exceeding or falling below it. In the latter case the sleeve has covers on one or both ends to protect the napkin, which is preferably in cross section the diameter of the wound paper web correspond, but can also fall below or exceed these.
  • the diameter of the entire roll (paper and sleeve) (c) is in the initial state at least 3 cm, preferably 5-17 cm, most preferably 11-12 cm.
  • the printed web is preferably a smooth tissue material with a grammage of 8 to 40 g / cm 2 , preferably 14 to 30 g / cm 2 , most preferably about 20 g / cm 2 , in order to enable high quality printing .
  • the further layers or webs can consist of the same material or of different, absorbent, possibly embossed or creped tissue.
  • Both tracks are then embossed 44 together connected and provided with the perforation 45.
  • the second web 52 can be made from a third, again smooth, web 53 corresponds to the first web 51, so that the web 52 is sandwich-like is arranged between the tracks 51 and 53 (see FIG. 5).
  • the web 53 can be printed like the web 51. In this case, web 53 also merged with the unprinted side with the web 52. Preferably the webs 51, 52 and 53 are brought together so that the print repeat of the Lanes 51 and 53 are congruent. Subsequently, the tracks are even more preferred perforated in the print repeat 55.
  • An endless web of high quality is created printed, aesthetically pleasing serviettes on both sides with separable individual segments, that can be used like a conventional napkin but like one Kitchen rolls are practically available and also have their absorbency.
  • the second web 42 or 52 can consist of one or more layers of the same or different paper or tissue quality.
  • the web can be embossed or creped and have a grammage of 8 to 40 g / m 2 , preferably 14 to 30 g / cm 2 .
  • the web 42 or 52 is preferably 1-5, more preferably 1-3 and most preferably 1 layer of absorbent tissue material.
  • the webs brought together by the method according to the invention are formed by Embossing 44; 54 connected to each other.
  • the embossing can take place over the entire area of the railway distributed or done on the edge. When embossed at the edge, this is preferably done symmetrical in the same width on both edges and in the same width parallel to each perforation, so that after dividing a segment a normal one Napkin with all-round embossing.
  • the endless napkin is based on Wet crepe paper on the softness and smoothness (i.e. the sensory) of one Tissue napkin.
  • this material enables printing in one Quality that corresponds to a conventional napkin.
  • the endless napkin can be varied in many ways Areas of application are transferred.
  • the endless napkin can be used as an advertising medium be used.
  • the paper area per section is used and printed accordingly. Uses would be, for example, place mats in Local (advertising medium for the restaurant or the food offered), in medical Area as a decorative design of the covers for couches (advertising for pharmaceuticals / clinics or devices) or as a decorative cover or underlay for food.
