Definitions
- the invention relates to a commodity in the preamble of claim 1 specified genus.
- Commodities of this type in the form of towel racks are both horizontal holding arms attached next to each other as well as with vertically one above the other Known holding arms and with fasteners for a play-free attachment to a Attachment surface, such as a wall.
- a Attachment surface such as a wall.
- For towel holders with one another vertically and pivotally positioned holding arms should also have good rotatability the holding arms can be reached around a vertical axis. This good rotatability should also be used when loading the holding arms with heavy, especially damp, towels and the associated lever arm-like load on the towel holder remain, even if the axis of rotation is erroneously not exactly vertical is aligned.
- a fastening block is provided as the fastening means at least one screw hole intended for its attachment to a wall or the like and has a transverse passage.
- Two holding arms can be rotated in the Passage stored and for this purpose with elements protruding into the passage provided that also serve for the axial connection of the two holding arms.
- the one Element is as a sleeve and the other element as a received by this sleeve Thorn trained.
- the axial connection takes place in that the mandrel on its free End is provided with a radially arranged spring pin, which after insertion of the mandrel snaps into the sleeve behind an edge provided on this.
- the smooth or stiffness with which the holding arms can be pivoted but depends on random definitions and manufacturing tolerances from, i.e. it is not possible to swivel the movement with a defined and adjustable braking force.
- the towel holder can not be pre-assembled at the factory because the mandrel and the sleeve only in the passage of the Mounting blocks can be used after it is attached to the wall. The latter is to create some security against unauthorized disassembly or Theft is desirable, but entails laborious assembly at the construction site.
- the two Holding arms connected to each other in that the holding arm having the sleeve one to the axis coaxial and in its extension passage, through which a fastening screw is screwed into the mandrel.
- This mounting screw can are tightened more or less and at the same time serves to adjust one preselected braking force.
- the connection of the two holding arms only take place at the construction site, so that the same also for adjustment the braking force applies. Since the installation of the towel holder on the construction site is usually not is carried out by experts, this means that the braking force is usually is not set exactly and not according to user requirements.
- the invention has for its object the towel holder of the aforementioned To design genus so that it is already largely pre-assembled in the manufacturing plant, simple attached and with a deemed appropriate braking force acting on the holding arms can be provided.
- the configuration according to the invention has the advantage that the towel holder already can be largely pre-assembled and adjusted at the factory. At the construction site the towel holder without additional adjustment work and with the help of a simple one Tool are attached to a wall-like mounting surface. Still offers one concealed mounting of the carrying or fastening elements a certain protection against Theft or unwanted dismantling by unauthorized persons.
- the towel holder shown in Fig. 1 has two holding arms 1 and 2, the long and have short legs 1a, 2a or 1b, 2b, each enclosing right angles, wherein end faces 3 and 4 located at the free ends of the short legs 1b, 2b in parallel stand to the longitudinal axes of the long legs 1a, 2a.
- From the short leg 1b of the Holding arms 1 projects non-rotatably and axially immovably as a hollow cylinder Out sleeve 5 coaxially.
- a sleeve 5 coaxially projects perpendicularly from the end face 4 of the short leg 2b the other holding arm 2 protruding and axially immovable and non-rotatable on this attached, cylindrical pin 6. Both the pin 6 and the sleeve 5 protrude through Bearing body 7 and a cover 8 pushed over the bearing body 7.
- a coaxially arranged Passage 9 has an annular stop shoulder 10 for the head a screw 11 made by a threaded hole cut into the free end of the pin 6 12 can be added and the axial connection of the two holding arms 1 and 2 serves.
- the screw 11 is from the side of the leg facing away from the sleeve 5 1b through the passage 9 into the threaded bore 12 until its head on the Stop shoulder 10 rests.
- the sufficient penetration of the screw 11 in the threaded bore 12 set fixed connection of screw 11 and pin 8 results by the stop of the screw head on the stop shoulder 10 at the same time firm axial connection between the two legs 1b and 2b.
- the screw 11 is a special screw with a Torque wrench is screwed into the pin 6 to the braking force of the holding arms 1 and 2 to be able to adjust, and is designed so that it by twisting the Holding arms 1,2 not released, i.e. the set braking force cannot be changed.
- a two-part fastening block is used, which the bearing body 7th and includes a base 14, both of which are connected to one another via a sliding guide are, as will be explained in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 2 to 9.
- the substantially cuboid base 14 has two continuous Screw holes 15, 16 with receptacles for the heads of fastening screws.
- One of the two screw holes, here the screw hole 16, preferably has one larger diameter (Fig. 2 and 3) than the diameter of the used Fastening screws corresponds. This larger diameter allows slight Pivots of the base 14 after screwing in a screw hole 15 protruding Fixing screw in a formed in the mounting surface, e.g. With a hole provided with a dowel and thus an exact positioning of the base 14 even if the central axes of the holes are not exactly the distance and the actually correspond to the desired position of the screw holes 15, 16.
- the base 14 has in the front view (Fig. 2) has a substantially rectangular contour and is assembled so that its long sides are arranged vertically.
- the bearing body 7 and the base 14 are connected to one another via a sliding guide connected.
- the base 14 contains one on both long sides, in essential U-shaped, continuous guide groove 17, which is in Fig. 2 to 4 of her has a wedge-shaped decreasing width in the direction of its lower end and the bottom of which serves as a guide surface 18 (FIG. 5).
- the parallel guide grooves 17 each lie approximately in a central region of the long sides of the base 14 and thereby divide a mounting section 20 and having a contact surface 19 one of the receptacles for the screw heads guide section 21 from each other from.
- the arrangement is like this met that the bearing body 7 are pushed onto the base 14 for assembly can by inserting its sliding portions 23 into the guide grooves 17 of the base 14 and be moved parallel to its longitudinal axis 25 (FIG. 6).
- the sliding surfaces 24 lie against the guide surfaces 18 so that there is a flat guide results, the guideway (guide surfaces 18) enclosed by the sliding surfaces 24 is, as Fig. 1 shows.
- the flat guide is also in the embodiment as a straight guide educated.
- the length of the bearing body 7, measured in the direction of its longitudinal axis 25, is preferably essentially the same as that of the base 14. However, the bearing body 7 does so when it is pushed onto the base 14 in the direction of the arrow v (FIG. 4) , can also be supported on the latter in the axial direction, it has at an upper end a stop surface 27 connecting the sliding sections 23, which rests on an upper end of the base 14 when the bearing body 7 assumes the axially correct position on the base 14 (Fig. 1).
- the bearing body 7 On a side remote from the sliding sections 23, the bearing body 7 has one Passage 28 which runs parallel to the longitudinal axis 25 and the sliding surfaces 24.
- the passage 28 has a diameter jump in a central part such that an upper section with a smaller diameter for receiving the pin 6 of the holding arm 2 serves and the outer diameter is adapted, while a lower section with Larger diameter for receiving the sleeve 5 of the holding arm 1 and serves Outside diameter is adjusted.
- the passage 28 also has at both ends a bearing section 29 with an enlarged cross section, each for receiving one cylindrical neck portion 30 of an associated leg 1b, 2b serves, as in Fig. 1 for the leg 2b is indicated, and regardless of the sleeve 5 and the pin 6 one stable rotatable mounting of the legs 1b, 2b in the bearing body 7 enables.
- Arrangement made so that end faces 30a (Fig. 1) of the neck portions 30 through Bottoms of the bearing sections 29 formed bearing surfaces 29a come to rest.
- cover cap 8 shows details of the cover cap 8 also shown in FIG Covering the mounting block consisting of the bearing body 7 and the base 14.
- the cover cap 8 has two parallel, upper and lower end faces 31 and 32, whose distance corresponds approximately to the length of the mounting block 7.14, and one between these extending, hood-shaped wall section 33.
- the end faces 31, 32 and the wall section 33 end at intended for contact with the fastening surface, substantially in-plane lower edges 34, and the wall section can on a side facing away from one adapted to the shape of the bearing body 7 Have rounding 35.
- the end faces 31, 32 of the cover cap 8 are essentially coaxial with one another aligned elongated holes 36,37, the long axis of which is perpendicular to the lower edges run.
- the elongated holes 36, 37 serve, according to FIG. 1, for receiving one each Neck portion 30 and therefore have a width approximately corresponding to their diameter on.
- the elongated holes 36,37 bounded by arcuate edge portions of the end faces 31,32, these Sections preferably substantially correspond to the radii of the neck sections 30 Have radii.
- the lower end face 32 of the cover cap 8 has a Recess 38, which begins at the lower edge 34 and up to its bottom 38a Depth that results from the function of the cap 8 explained below.
- this recess 38 extends over almost the entire width of the End face 32 so that it ends on both sides in the vicinity of the wall section 33.
- the cover cap 8 can be placed on the mounting block in the direction of an arrow w (FIG. 1), ie perpendicular to the contact surface 19 of the base 14.
- the bearing body 7 and the cover cap 8 have latching means which, when these two parts are made of plastic by injection molding, preferably consist of snap connection elements which come into engagement with one another.
- these means contain, on the one hand, outwardly projecting projections 39 (FIGS. 7, 9) on parallel side walls of the bearing body 7 and corresponding, inwardly projecting projections 40 (FIGS.
- projections 39, 40 can be designed in the manner of undercut, flexible lugs and are made in one piece with the bearing body 7 or the cover cap 8.
- FIGS. 9 and 12 such projections 39, 40 are preferably attached to all four corners of the bearing body 7 and the covering cap 8 and near the guide sections 23 and the lower edges 34, respectively.
- the means for locking are also formed in two stages in the direction of arrow w (FIG. 1), for example by the projections 39 being formed by two saw teeth 41, 42 (FIG.
- the projections 40 are wedge-shaped or triangular and can optionally snap into one of the two saw teeth 41, 42.
- the projections 39, 40 allow the two cover states of the bearing body indicated in FIGS. 14 and 15 by the cover cap 8.
- the cap 8 is pressed onto the bearing body 7 so that its Snap projections 40 into the first locking position (saw teeth 40). Since passage 28 of the bearing body 7 in this position is aligned with the elongated holes 36, 37, it is from accessible from outside. It is now from one side, in the exemplary embodiment from above, the pin 6 through the slot 36 and from the other side, in the embodiment of below, the sleeve 5 inserted through the slot 37 in the passage 28 until the Neck sections 30 come to rest in its bearing sections 29. Then will the screw 11 (FIG. 1) through the passage 9 into the threaded bore of the sleeve 5th protruding pin 6 inserted and tightened until a preselected Braking force results, i.e.
- the neck sections 30 of the two holding arms 1 and 2 in or on the bearing sections 29 rotated with a preselected ease or stiffness can be.
- the assembly thus obtained can be completely pre-assembled in the manufacturing plant and preset and then together with the base 14 and possibly with suitable ones Fixing screws and dowels are packed and delivered.
- the neck sections 30 are somewhat longer in the axial direction than corresponds to the thicknesses of the end faces 31, 32 (FIGS. 10 to 13) of the cover cap 8. This also ensures that these end faces 31,32 are not between the Legs 1b, 2b and the end faces of the bearing body 7 are pinched, which is a Movement of the cap 8 would make impossible.
- the covering cap 8 can first be removed in that with a tool in one of the recess 38 exposed Freedom is taken, pushed back from the mounting surface in its first locking position become. As a result, the recess 38 on the underside of the base 14 is so aligned that the bearing body 7 can now be removed from the base 14.
- the length of the elongated holes 36,37 (Fig. 11,13) is expediently chosen so that in each of the two possible rest positions each one of the wall parts delimiting them associated neck portion 30 abuts. Therefore, the arrangement can easily be so be taken that both elongated holes at least in the fully assembled state according to FIG. 1 36, 37 fully covered by the end faces 3, 4 of the associated legs 1b, 2b are therefore not visible.
- the adjustment path between the two Locking positions of the cover 8 can be chosen to be comparatively short, so that this can also be moved back and forth between the two rest positions when the two holding arms 1 and 2 are mounted in the bearing body 7. Since also the head of the Screw 11 can be placed deep in the passage 9, it is for a person who Function of the different parts does not know, very difficult, an assembled towel rail to solve, so that a certain security against theft and vandalism is given.
- the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment described. Much more Many elements of this embodiment can be modified in many ways become.
- the sawtooth-like ones located only at the corners of the bearing body 7 in FIG Projections 39 of the bearing body 7 according to the invention also as over the height of the Bearing body 7 through projections. Accordingly, there is one Extent of those shown in FIGS. 10 and 12 only at the corners of the covering cap 8 Projections 40 over the full extent of the cap 8 between the two End faces 31 and 32 within the scope of the present invention.
- the holding arms 1, 2 of the towel holder can also be different than with round cross section.
- an oval cross section could be used for the holding arms 1, 2 to get voted.
- the rounding 35 of the cover cap is also expedient 8 oval.
- the sliding guide which connects the bearing body 7 and the base 14, can in Be carried out in various ways within the scope of the invention.
- another preferred Embodiment is e.g. designed as a dovetail guide, whereby as in In principle, the embodiment is irrelevant as to whether the guide surfaces 18 of the base 14 are enclosed by the sliding surfaces 24 of the bearing body 7 or vice versa Base 14 engages around the bearing body 7 in a U-shape.
- the different need Do not run guide parts over the entire length of the mounting block, but can e.g. be provided with recesses or the like.
- the lengths of the sleeve 5 and the pin 6 can vary from that shown in the figures described embodiment differ. It would also be possible for the two To hold the holding arms 1 and 2 only in the bearing body 7 with the aid of the sleeve 5 and the pin 6, in which case the neck sections 30 would be omitted. This variant could furthermore the elongated hole 36, as indicated by a broken line in FIG. 11, at least at one end an arcuate shape adapted to the radius of the pin 6 Show course.
- the threaded portion of the Screw 11 may be provided with a longitudinal groove, which before screwing in the screw 11 poured into the threaded bore 12 with a suitable epoxy resin, glue or the like is that after curing an automatic loosening of the screw 11 and thus an undesired change in the preset braking force makes it almost impossible.
- the latching means attached to the bearing body 7 and to the cover cap 8 can be different in the context of the invention than that described with reference to the figures Projections 39 and 40 can be designed.
- the profiles to be matched can can be changed as long as it is possible to switch between the locking levels is.
