Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Behandeln eines Filtertowstreifens während seiner fortlaufenden querschnittvermindemden Raffung innerhalb eines Führungskanals, der von einem zusammen mit einem Umhüllungsstreifen über eine Umlenkrolle zugeführten, ein Bodenband bildendes und auf beiden Seiten des Führungskanals hochgewölbtes Formatband begrenzt wird, zu einem Filtertowstrang, der anschließend zwecks Bildung eines Filterstranges mit dem Umhüllungsstreifen umhüllt wird, von dem Filterstäbe abgeschnitten werden, wobei während der Raffung Druckluft in den Filtertowstreifen geblasen wird, die stromabwärts in einer Luftaustrittszone durch Kanäle aus dem Raffbereich austritt.
Die Erfindung betrifft außerdem eine Vorrichtung zum Behandeln eines Filtertowstreifens, mit einem Führungskanal, dessen Querschnitt zur Raffung des Streifens abnimmt und der einen Einlass zum Zuführen von Luft unter Druck sowie eine stromabwärts angeordnete Luftaustrittszone zum Abführen der in das Filtertow eingeblasenen Luft aufweist, mit einem den Führungskanal begrenzenden, ein Bodenband bildendes und auf beiden Seiten des Führungskanals hochgewölbtes Formatband und mit einer Umlenkrolle, die das Formatband zusammen mit einem Umhüllungsstreifen dem Führungskanal zuführt.
Unter dem Begriff "Filtertow" wird ein Vlies aus einer Vielzahl gekräuselter synthetischer Spinnfasern und/oder Filamente verstanden, das z.B. aus Celluloseacetat, Spinnfasern und/oder Filamenten besteht.
Unter dem Begriff "Führungskanal" wird ein in der Technik der Filterherstellung mittels Strangmaschinen als "Finger" bezeichneter Kanal mit sich in Förderrichtung verringerndem Querschnitt zum Raffen des in dem Kanal geförderten Filtertows und zu seiner Querschnittsverringerung bis zum Einreichen etwa des Strangquerschnittes verstanden.

Von einem Ballen 1 aus übereinanderliegenden Streifen von Filtertow aus Celluloseacetat wird von einem angetriebenen Rollenpaar 2, beispielsweise bestehend aus Rillenrolle und dagegenwirkender Gummirolle, ein Streifen 3 abgezogen, von einer Luftdüse 4 aufgelöst und ausgebreitet, über eine Rolle 6 geführt und von einer weiteren Luftdüse 7 weiter ausgebreitet und aufgelockert. Ein geschlepptes, d. h. nicht angetriebenes Bremsrollenpaar 8 hält die gebildete Bahn 9 aus ausgebreiteten Fäden von Filtertow etwas zurück. Ein weiteres Antriebsrollenpaar 11, z. B. ebenfalls bestehend aus Rillenrolle und dagegengedrückter Gummirolle, ist etwas schneller angetrieben als das Rollenpaar 2, so daß die Fäden der zwischen den Rollenpaaren 2 und 11 ausgebreiteten Bahn 9 aus in einer Ebene geführten weitgehend vereinzelten dicht an dicht liegenden Fäden gestreckt wird. Dem Rollenpaar 11 nachgeordnet ist eine Besprüheinrichtung 12, in der Tröpfchen von flüssigem Weichmacher 13, z. B. Triazetin, von unten mittels rotierender Bürste 14 auf die Fäden der in einer Ebene geführten Bahn 9 aus Towmaterial gesprüht werden. Nach Umlenkung durch ein weiteres angetriebenes Rollenpaar 16 gelangt die Bahn 9 unter Verringerung ihrer Breite über eine mit Druckluft beaufschlagte Düse 17 mit einem Druckluftanschluß 17a zu einem Einlauftrichter 18 einer nicht dargestellten anschließenden Filterstrangmaschine KDF, z. B. vom in der tabakverarbeitenden Industrie bekannten Typ KDF2 oder KDF3 der Anmelderin. Die Pfeile 19 geben die Bewegungsrichtung der Bahn 9 an.
An den Trichter 18 schließt sich eine sogenannte Formateinrichtung 20 an, die einen Führungskanal 21 für das Filtertow (nachfolgend kurz "Finger" genannt) mit sich verringerndem Querschnitt aufweist, so daß das Filtertow bei seiner Förderung durch Querschnittsverengung fortlaufend zusammengerafft wird, bis es etwa den Querschnitt eines in der tabakverarbeitenden Industrie zum Herstellen von Filterzigaretten benötigten Filterstabes aufweist. Das Filtertow wird von einem sogenannten Formatband 22, das zusammen mit einem Umhüllungsstreifen 24 (z. B. Papierstreifen) über eine Umlenkrolle 23 zugeführt wird, durch die Formateinrichtung 20 gezogen. In der Formateinrichtung wird der an einer Kante beleimte Papierstreifen 24 um den Filtertowstrang gelegt und anschließend in bekannter nicht dargestellter Weise ein Filterstrang gebildet, von dem die einzelnen Filterstäbe abgeschnitten werden. Von der gesamten Formateinrichtung ist nur der Einlaufteil mit dem Finger 21 dargestellt. Die weiteren Teile einer Formateinrichtung wie Klebkammer und dgl. sind nicht dargestellt, da sie von der Erfindung nicht betroffen sind.

An einem ersten Lufteinlaß 26 wird Druckluft mit beispielsweise 3bar zugeführt, die durch in der Wand 27 in drei Reihen angebrachte schlitzartige Kanäle 28 in das Innere des Fingers 21 und des hindurchbewegten Filtertows strömt. Dessen Fasern werden dadurch verwirbelt, was den Zugwiderstand von daraus hergestellten Filterstäben in erwünschter Weise erhöht. Der Winkel, mit dem die Luft aus der Wand 27 strömt, kann zwischen 10° und 30°, bezogen auf die Längsachse des Fingers, betragen, beispielsweise also 20°, so daß das Filtermaterial eine Förderkomponente durch die Luft erhält. Die eingeblasene Luft kann durch eine siebartig ausgebildete Luftaustrittszone 29 aus dem Finger 21 austreten. Die Austrittskanäle 31 in der Austrittszone sind gleich groß und haben in dem Ausführungsbeispiel etwa kreisrunde Form mit einem Durchmesser von ca. 0,5 bis 1,5 mm, z. B. von ca. 1 mm. Die Austrittskanäle können auch andere Formen und Abmessungen aufweisen. Stromabwärts von der Luftaustrittszone 29 befindet sich ein weiterer Lufteinlaß 32, durch den Druckluft von beispielsweise 2bar zugeführt wird, die durch in die Wand 27 in drei Reihen angebrachte schlitzartige Kanäle 33 in das Innere des Fingers 21 und das darin geleitete Filtertow strömt. Dessen Fasern werden erneut verwirbelt, was sich positiv auf die Homogenität der erzeugten Filterstäbe auswirkt. Der Winkel, mit dem die Luft aus der Wand 27 strömt, kann ebenfalls wieder ca. 10° bis 30°, bezogen auf die Fingerlängsachse, betragen, beispielsweise also etwa 20°. Die eingeblasene weitere Luft kann durch eine weitere stromabwärts angeordnete siebartig ausgebildete Luftaustrittszone 34 aus dem Finger 21 austreten. Die Austrittskanäle 36 können die gleiche Form und Abmessungen aufweisen wie die Austrittskanäle 31. Die relativ kleinen Abmessungen der Austrittskanäle sind vorteilhaft, weil praktisch keine Fasern aus dem Filtertow nach außen hindurchtreten. - A device according to one or more of claims 5 to 7, characterised in that at least one air exit zone (29, 34) of the guide channel (21) is constructed in the manner of a sieve.
- A device according to claim 8, characterised in that at least one air exit zone (29, 34) is provided with exit channels (31, 36) having constant cross-sections.
- A device according to claim 8 and/or 9, characterised in that the exit channels (31, 36) are constructed as circular holes having constant diameters.
- A device according to one or more of claims 8 to 10, characterised in that the diameters of the exit channels (31, 36) are between 0.8 mm and 1.2 mm, preferably approximately 1.0 mm.
- A device according to one or more of claims 5 to 11, characterised in that at least one inlet (26, 32) in the guide channel (21) has a plurality of inlet channels (28, 33).
- A device according to claim 12, characterised in that the inlet channels (28, 33) have an angle smaller than 90° to the longitudinal axis of the guide channel (21).
- A device according to claim 12 and/or 13, characterised in that at least one inlet (26, 32) in the guide channel (21) has slots (28, 33) which extend at least partially with a predominant component in the movement direction (19) of the filter tow.
