Abstract

In einer Papiermaschine zur Herstellung einer Materialbahn (10) wie einer Papier- oder Kartonbahn wird die herzustellende Materialbahn (10) auf der Oberfläche eines Transfermittel (24) zu einer Abnahmestelle (30) überführt, in deren Bereich ein eine zumindest im wesentlichen offene Oberfläche aufweisendes, vorzugsweise luftdurchlässiges Band (32) über eine Abnahmewalze (34) oder dergleichen geführt ist und die Materialbahn (10) von der Oberfläche des Transfermittels (24) abnimmt. An der Abnahmestelle (30) ist ein in Bahnlaufrichtung (L) verlängerter Preßspalt (36) gebildet, in dessen Bereich die der Materialbahn (10) zugewandte Oberfläche des Transfermittels (24) sowohl unter Ausbildung einer zumindest im wesentlichen konkaven Mulde (38) umgelenkt als auch durch eine gezielt im Bereich dieser Umlenkung erzeugte Preßkraft gegen die Abnahmewalze (34) gepreßt ist, um dadurch die Abnahme der Materialbahn (10) von der Transfermitteloberfläche zu unterstützen.
