Definitions
- the invention relates to a resonator with an adjustable resonance frequency.
- the resonator is for a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) can be used.
- VCO voltage controlled oscillator
- Voltage controlled oscillators can for example with cordless telephones, television and satellite tuners or radio receivers are used.
- the voltage-controlled oscillator is adjusted using Lasers result in very high costs for both the components as well as the necessary devices.
- An object of the invention is to provide a resonator in which the above disadvantages are avoided.
- the solution according to the invention has the advantage that they can be accommodated on a circuit board to save space can.
- the final adjustment can be done without expensive high-frequency measuring devices respectively. It is just a simple DC voltage measurement necessary. The number of necessary connection breaks can be determined from a table.
- Another advantage of the invention is that the adjustment can be done fully automatically. However, it also exists the possibility to carry out the adjustment manually.
- the object is achieved by a resonator according to claim 1 solved.
- the resonator has a first and a second conductor track on, with the two conductor tracks at different points arranged connections are electrically connected. Corresponding the desired resonance frequency is one or interrupt more of the connections.
- the first conductor track can be designed as a microstrip.
- the connections are advantageously interrupted mechanically.
- Another embodiment of the invention provides that the second conductor has a reference potential.
- connections can be plated through holes of a circuit board be.
- the resonator according to the invention can be used for a voltage-controlled Oscillator or a filter can be used.
- the figure shows the basic structure of the invention Resonators and the coupling of the resonator to one High frequency switching.
- the resonator has a first conductor track L1, a second conductor track L2 and several at different Set up arranged connections V. Between the two Circuit board L1 and L2, a circuit board P is arranged.
- the two conductor tracks L1 and L2 do not have to, as in the figure shown on the outer surfaces of the board, but can also be arranged inside the board P.
- the connections V make electrical connections between the conductor track L1 and the conductor track L2 forth.
- the conductor track L2 is with a reference potential M. As shown in the figure can the resonator on the conductor track L1 with several discrete Components and an integrated circuit IC be connected.
- connections V are interrupted the electrical length of the conductor track L1 is influenced, which affects the resonance frequency of the resonator.
- An interruption of the connections V can, for example by drilling through holes or milling respectively.
- connections V are advantageously located as far as possible close to line L1.
- trace is general understand a conductive surface.
