Definitions

  • the invention relates to a circuit breaker for low voltage with a housing consisting of a rear wall and a front part and with a switching contact system arranged in the housing, which has two approximately parallel connecting rails for connecting the switching contact system to an external circuit, the connecting rails being in the Window openings located on the rear wall extend and are fastened in the housing by fastening means, and furthermore one of the connecting rails serves as a carrier for a fixed switching contact and an arcing horn, while the other of the connecting rails is connected to a movable switching contact of the switching contact system by an articulated conductor arrangement.

In view of the fact that the rear wall of the housing is a molded part made of insulating material, insert nuts or press-in nuts are generally used to provide the nut thread. Therefore, the previously required transverse bores in the connecting rails are unnecessary. As a result, both connecting rails 20 and 21 can behave differently with respect to the forces occurring at the clamping points 54 and 55. To avoid this is a nose 56 is attached to the front part 26 of the housing 2 in such a way that the end part 52 of the connecting bar 21 is additionally gripped and supported in an area approximately diagonally opposite the web 46. This is indicated in Figure 5 by a hatched side surface 57.
