Oberfläche des Gummituchzylinderkörpers 6 befestigt. In gleicher Weise kann das endlose
Tuch 14 auf dem Gummituchzylinderkörper 6 durch Expandieren eines einen kleineren
Durchmesser als der des Gummituchzylinderkörpers 6 aufweisenden hülsenförmigen

sein, wobei die Löcher 16 eine solche Größe aufweisen können, daß jedes Loch 16 einen
Winkel α von ungefähr 20° abdeckt. Demgemäß gibt es ungefähr 18 Löcher 16, die über
den Umfang des Gummituchzylinderkörpers 6 angeordnet sind. Weiterhin sind bei einem
Gummituchzylinder 4 mit einem Durchmesser von ungefähr 65 cm die Seitenwände 20
zwischen angrenzenden Löchern 16, z. B. zwischen 1,6 und 1,95 cm, vorzugsweise 1,8
bis 1,876 cm, stark; bzw. die Dicke der Wände 20 liegt vorzugsweise im Bereich zwischen
2,5 % und 3 % des Durchmessers D des Gummituchzylinders 4. Wie weiterhin aus Fig. 4

angebracht, daß die Antriebswelle 36-axial fixiert und relativ zu der ersten Seitenwand 8
unbeweglich angeordnet ist, wenn eine Axialbeanspruchung, z. B. durch den
Gummituchzylinder 4 auf den eingreifenden Abschnitt 32 ausgeübt wird. Weiterhin kann
ein Kragen 44 am ersten Ende 34 der Antriebswelle 36 gebildet sein, um für eine präzise
Ausrichtung der Antriebswelle 36 und des Gummituchzylinders 4 zu sorgen. Wie in Fig. 5
gezeigt, kann ein Einsatzstück 75 aus festem Material, vorzugsweise Stahl, ebenfalls an der
ersten Endkappe 22 angebracht sein. Das Einsatzstück 75 wird vorzugsweise innerhalb

Fig. 6 gezeigt befindet, in einem dazugehörigen zentralen Loch 60, welches in der zweiten
Endkappe 24 gebildet ist, aufgenommen wird. Die Welle 52 kann vorzugsweise einen
ringförmigen Abschnitt 62 mit einem größeren Durchmesser als der des zentralen axialen
Lochs 60 besitzen. Zusätzlich kann ein ringförmiges elastisches Element 64 zwischen dem
ringförmigen Abschnitt 62 und der äußeren Oberfläche der zweiten Endkappe 24
vorgesehen sein, welches eine federelastische axiale Kraft von der Welle 52 auf die zweite
Endkappe 42 überträgt, wenn die Welle 52 sich in der ersten Position befindet. Das

rechts bewegt werden. Auf diese Weise wird der Endabschnitt 58 der Welle 52 aus dem
zentralen axialen Loch 60 herausgezogen und der Gummituchzylinder 4 kann aus dem
