Definitions
- the invention relates to a fuel injection system the genus of claim 1.
- fuel injection system is a first high-pressure fuel reservoir as a high-pressure fuel source provided the second high-pressure fuel reservoir supplied to each one Fuel injector are assigned.
- the second high-pressure fuel reservoir is via a Switch valve fuel the fuel injector fed.
- the high-pressure fuel accumulators are each about High pressure lines connected together. These pose each have a limited flow cross-section available and therefore have a restricting influence on the Supply of fuel to the fuel injector. Adequate fuel supply to the Fuel injector over the respective Fuel injection process depends on the size of the Storage, its pressure level, its refill capacity and ultimately from the throttling in the high pressure lines from.
- the fuel injection system according to the invention Genus of claim 1 has the essential Advantage that the harmful line connections omitted that the high-pressure accumulator has connection points, with which he directly each with the housing of several Fuel injectors is connected. In this way is a throttling influence of line connections prevented and there is a possibility that High pressure fuel in a high refill rate for Pressure space in the fuel injection valve available too put.
- the high-pressure fuel reservoir is an advantageous further development formed as an elongated hollow body, the extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the fuel injection valves extends. This is the direct connection to the high-pressure fuel accumulator guaranteed to the injectors and it can use the short connections already mentioned between the volume of the high-pressure fuel accumulator and the pressure chamber in the fuel injection valve become.
- the high-pressure fuel reservoir is advantageous in the housing of the internal combustion engine in appropriately adapted Recesses used. For effective tight, high pressure resistant Connection between high-pressure fuel accumulator and the fuel injection valves Design according to claim 4. It is regardless of whether the high-pressure fuel accumulator as above mentioned in a corresponding recess in the housing of the Internal combustion engine is used or otherwise the internal combustion engine is fixed.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic Representation of the fuel injection system with the high-pressure fuel accumulator and the fuel injectors
- Figure 2 shows a partial section through the high-pressure fuel reservoir and a fuel injector associated with it in a first embodiment of the invention
- Figure 3 is an enlarged Representation of the connection point between the high-pressure fuel accumulator and fuel injector
- Figure 4 a second embodiment of the connection between one Fuel injection valve and the high-pressure fuel reservoir.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic diagram of the invention Fuel injection system.
- One promotes Pre-feed pump 2 from a fuel tank 1 Fuel to a high pressure pump 3, which has a Pressure line 4 with a high-pressure fuel reservoir 5 connected is. This is brought to injection pressure Fuel for the supply of fuel injection valves 6 made available.
- the pressure in the high-pressure fuel accumulator 5 can also With the help of a pressure sensor 8, its signals are monitored be detected by an electrical control device 9, which in turn, as stated here, the high pressure delivery rate of the High pressure pump 3 controls.
- an electrical control device 9 is provided, the in another version instead of the mentioned control of the High pressure pump also the pressure control in the High-pressure fuel accumulator 5 through controlled discharge of the high-pressure fuel reservoir 5 could serve.
- the Control unit 9 is also the injection via the Fuel injectors 6 controlled as electrical controllable fuel injection valves are formed.
- the Fuel injectors 6 controlled as electrical controllable fuel injection valves are formed.
- FIG. 2 shows this assignment somewhat more accurate.
- the high-pressure fuel reservoir 5 shown by means not shown in its location is fixed. It is still part of one Fuel injector 6 shown in section, the in a recess 12 of the internal combustion engine housing 14 axially and is used radially fixed.
- the high-pressure fuel accumulator is for example also in a recess 15, e.g. in the form of a longitudinal channel in the engine housing 14, fixed.
- the fuel injection valve 6 has a valve needle 17 on, which controls injection openings 18 in a known manner.
- a pressure chamber 19 is located upstream of these injection openings provided by a pressure line 20 in the housing 21st the fuel injection valve runs in the longitudinal direction, is supplied with fuel.
- the injector needle will acted upon by a compression spring 22 in the closing direction. Contrary to the force this attaches itself to the fuel injector housing supporting compression spring 22 is one of the pressure provided in the pressure chamber 19 exposed pressure shoulder 23, about the from the printing area and pressure in the printing room resulting force the injector needle 17 against the Force of the spring can be moved into the open position.
- the pressure line 20 To supply the pressure chamber 19 with a high injection pressure brought fuel is the pressure line 20 provided an entry point 27 on the lateral surface 25 of the injector housing 21 in the central region of the Injector housing has a longitudinal extent. This Entry point 27 is in close contact with an exit point 26 on the high-pressure fuel store 5. Die Entry point and exit point form one Junction. It becomes a tight connection Injector by means of a pressure piece 36 with her Entry point pressed onto the exit point 26. this can be seen more precisely in FIG. 3.
- This trough-shaped Recess is as a sealing surface in the outer surface 25 of the Injector housing 21 incorporated and is used for Recording the exit point 26 on the high-pressure fuel accumulator 5.
- the exit point is approximately as a projection 31 knob-shaped with a spherical surface 32, which is also worked as a sealing surface.
- Radial to Longitudinal axis 33 of the high-pressure fuel accumulator occurs highest point of the projection 31 a fuel channel 34 from the at tight system of the high-pressure fuel storage on Fuel injection valve housing 21 with the transverse channel 28 aligned and thus a direct connection between the High-pressure fuel accumulator 5 and the pressure channel 20 and the Produces pressure chamber 19 of the fuel injector.
- the pressure piece 36 provided that enters the recess 12 and with the Injector housing 21 is clamped so that this with its entry point 27 against the exit point 26 of the in the longitudinal channel 15 fixed high-pressure fuel accumulator is pressed.
- the spherical configuration of the projection 31 allows to compensate for misalignments. There is one Pairing possible such that the surface of the protrusion 31st is spherical, while the surface of the recess 29 is conical is formed so that a line contact as Sealing edge can be realized. Nevertheless, can naturally also a correspondingly adapted spherical trough-shaped Combination between entry point and exit point be realized.
- connection areas can also be realized in conical surfaces, whereby here the misalignment compensation no longer in the large scale is possible.
- the cone angle deviate from each other, so that in the area of the projection 31 a conical surface with a smaller tip angle of generating cone can be provided during the corresponding generating cone for the cone surface on the fuel injector housing 21 should be correspondingly larger.
- FIG. 4 An alternative embodiment to version 3 is the Figure 4 removable.
- This projection 31 ' is analogous to the embodiment of Figure 3 with a spherical Surface 32 'equipped, which works as a sealing surface is and the transverse channel 28 'opens here again at the highest point of this spherical projection 31 '.
- the high-pressure fuel reservoir now has the opposite side 5 'a trough-shaped recess 29', either can be spherical or conical and also as Sealing surface is designed. The canal then leads to this 34 from the inside of the high-pressure fuel reservoir with the Interior 37 of the high-pressure fuel pump 3 with Fuel is kept filled out.
- the mentioned advantage bridges in both cases 3 and according to FIG. 4 a blending opening 38 between the recess 12 and the recess 15.
- This Intersection opening allows the connection between the im Housing 14 of the internal combustion engine mounted fuel high-pressure accumulator and the fuel injection valve stored in this housing.
- the projection 31 or 31 ' is there still necessary to compensate for misalignments and the necessary space for pressing the injector housing to the high-pressure fuel reservoir create so that a nozzle-shaped connection between the both can be realized.
- the pressure that comes from is done by a pressure piece 36 can in different Form can be realized and also at every junction can be set individually so that always an exact tight connection between fuel injector and High pressure accumulator is independent of that necessary manufacturing and installation tolerances.
- This solution according to the invention is the shortest Connection between the high-pressure fuel reservoir and the Injection point created on the fuel injector that the throttle losses in the connection between the high-pressure fuel accumulator to the injection point on the fuel injection valve minimized.
