Abstract

The cavity which contains the coloured printing ink is closed at the sides by walls (7) which engage with the surface of the printing roller. The sidewalls have grooves (26) which connect with the inside of the cavity. The grooves are in the form of slits which pass through the sealing surfaces between side walls and roller. The slits run at a sharp angle to the inner faces and point inward taken in the direction of rotation of the roller (2). The front ends (36) of the side walls are bent outward to provide scrapers for the printing inks.

Description

The invention relates to a doctor blade with one Anilox roller provided inking unit Rotary printing machine according to the preamble of Claim 1.

A chambered doctor blade is known from EP 04 38 731 A2. A ink chamber of the chamber doctor blade is made on the front by Sealed side jaws. These side jaws are each with one that can be adjusted to an anilox roller Sealant provided that a curvature Shell surface of the anilox roller is adapted. This Sealants are made of elastic material and their contact surface to the outer surface of the anilox roller coated with a low-friction material.

The disadvantage here is that coating measures are necessary to create a low-friction contact surface Obtain sealant for anilox roller.

The US 51 50 651 A shows a generic Chamber doctor blade, whose ink chamber by means of side jaws is sealed. These side jaws are with as Provide lubrication pocket-like depressions.

Die DE 43 02 671 A1 beschreibt eine Kammerrakel, in deren Seitenbacken Schmiertaschen angeordnet sind.DE 43 02 671 A1 describes a chambered doctor blade, in the side jaws of which are arranged lubrication pockets.

The invention has for its object a Chamber doctor blade one with an anilox roller To create inking unit of a rotary printing press.

This object is achieved by a Chamber doctor blade with the characteristics of the characteristic part of claim 1 solved.

Friction is advantageously minimized by the chambered doctor blade according to the invention, as a result of which only little heat is generated. This minimizes wear on side jaws as well as on the outer surface of an anilox roller, which results in a longer service life and machine downtime tents are avoided.
In a particularly advantageous manner, the low heat development prevents gas bubbles from forming in the area of the side jaws, which leads to improved ink guidance of the anilox roller and thus increases the print quality.
Compared to the prior art, no elaborate sliding linings are necessary.
Due to the automatically generated minimal gap, only a minimal amount of ink emerges from the chamber doctor blade, which largely prevents the formation of beads and thus splashing of the anilox roller.

The chambered doctor blade according to the invention is in the drawing shown and is described in more detail below.

A chambered doctor blade 1 interacts with an anilox roller 2 of a short inking unit. The chambered doctor blade 1 extends axially parallel to the anilox roller 2. A plurality of chambered doctor blades 1, for example two chambered doctor blades 1 each extending over half the length of the anilox roller length, can be provided over a length of the anilox roller 2. However, it can also be provided, for example, printing plate-wide chamber doctor blade 1 in order to use a plurality of colors on the anilox roller 2 or to switch off the ink supply zone by zone. The chambered doctor blade 1 consists essentially of a base body 3, a working doctor blade 4, a closing doctor blade 6 and a right or left side jaw 7, 8. The base body 3 is provided with a depression 11 and its ends 11, 12 near the rollers point with respect to a radial direction the anilox roller 2 inclined mounting surfaces 13, 14. The working doctor blade 4 or the closing doctor blade 6 are clamped between these fastening surfaces 13, 14 and fastening strips 16, 17, for example by means of screws. The base body 3 can, as in the example shown, in one piece or else in several parts, for. B. divided in two in the axial direction. The side jaws 7, 8 are arranged on axially delimiting end faces 18, 19 of the base body 3, each of which has a curvature of the anilox roller 2 on its sealing surface 21 facing the anilox roller 2.
The side jaws 7, 8, working, closing doctor blade 4, 6 and the depression 9 of the base body 3 thus delimit an ink chamber 22 of the chamber doctor blade 1.
In the area of this ink chamber 22, an inner end face 23, 24 of the respective side jaw 7, 8 is provided with an opening 26 pointing in the direction of the ink chamber 22, and the sealing surface 21 of the side jaws 7, 8 has a recess 27 which acts as a lubrication and sealing pocket. The opening 26 and the recess 27 are connected to one another.
In a first exemplary embodiment (FIGS. 1 and 2), an incision 28, 29 is provided through the sealing surface 21, which also serves as a depression 27 and opening 26. This incision 28, 29 is U-shaped, with a width b28, z. 0.25 mm, and a depth t28, e.g. B. 14 mm, and extends over the entire width b7 of the side jaws 7, 8. In addition, the incision 28, 29 with the ink chamber 22 facing end face 23, 24 of the side jaws 7, 8 has a rotational angle alpha, z. B. 45 ° include.

In a second embodiment (Fig. 3 and Fig. 4), the recess 27 is designed as a conical bore 31 which is centered with respect to the width of the sealing surface 21 and whose maximum diameter d31, z. B. is smaller than the width b7 of the side jaws 7, 8. The opening 26 designed as a bore 32 opens in the region of the cone tip of the bore 31 and thus connects the bore 31 to the ink chamber 22.
As a recess 27 are of course other shapes, z. B. cuboidal depressions or wedge-shaped tapered surfaces in the direction of rotation, which may be limited to the inner and outer end faces 23, 24, 33, 34 of the side jaws 7, 8 or open. In addition, several of these depressions 27 and openings 26 can also be provided along the sealing surface 21.

Furthermore, the side jaws 7, 8 are on their outer, end surfaces 33, 34 facing away from the ink chamber 22 Wipers 36, 37 provided over the outer End face 33, 34 of the side jaws 7, 8 in a wedge shape Direction of rotation of the anilox roller 2 also act. in the This example runs at the incoming end of the respective side jaws 7, 8 an incision 38 of the Depth t38 and width b38 below and approximately parallel to the sealing surface 21. Along this incision 38 the scraper 36, 37 by bending a part the side jaws 7, 8 to the outside, d. H. the color chamber 22 turned away in such a way that a Inner surface 39, 41 of the scraper 36, 37 on the outer end face 34, 36 of the side jaws 7, 8 in one Supernatant ü, z. B. 3 mm, protrudes. Thus the Wipers 36, 37 with respect to the inner end face 23, 24 of the side jaws 7, 8 a wedge-shaped taper.

The operation of the chamber doctor blade 1 is as follows: The chamber doctor blade 1 is pressed against the anilox roller 2 by a holding device, not shown, so that the sealing surfaces 21 of the side jaws 7, 8 and prestressed working or closing doctor blade 4, 6 abut against a lateral surface 42 of the anilox roller 2 . The ink chamber 22 thus formed is supplied or discharged with paint via openings (not shown). The ink in the ink chamber 22 flows through the opening 26 of the end face 23, 24 of the side jaws 7, 8 into the recess 27 of the sealing surface 21. The rotation of the anilox roller 2 causes the ink outside the recess 27 to form in a gap between the sealing surface 21 and anilox roller 2 transported. The recess 27 thus forms a lubrication pocket of a hydrodynamic, or if the ink chamber 22 is operated with excess pressure, a hydrostatic plain bearing, the ink serving as a lubricant.
If paint outside the outer end face 33, 34 of the side jaws 7, 8 emerges from the gap between the anilox roller 2 and the sealing surface 21, it collects as a bead on the anilox roller 2 and becomes the inner end faces 23, 24 of the stripper 37, 37 Side jaws 7, 8 transported. This leaked paint is conveyed along these end faces 23, 24 to a paint funnel or return tank, not shown.
