Claims (6)
- Method for detecting the lateral position and positioning a feed reel (14; 16) within a reel changer (1), having the following features:each feed reel (14; 16) is moved between two opposite sensors (26; 27) and a lateral spacing (f; g) between a side surface (34; 36) of the feed reel (14; 16) and the associated sensor (26; 27) is measured in each case,in the evaluation unit (29), actual values are compared with the entered desired values relating to reel width (i) and reel spacing (f; g),in the event that an actual value of the reel spacing (f; g) differs from the desired value, the feed reel (14; 16) is positioned by means of a conveyor carriage (22) which can be moved transversely (B) with respect to the web running direction (A), characterized in that desired values of different size, matched to a reel width (i) for the right-hand and left-hand lateral spacings (f; g) are predefined to an evaluation unit (29).
- Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that after the actual value of the reel spacing (f; g) has coincided with the corresponding desired value, the conveyor carriage (22) is locked on a transport unit (19).
- Method according to Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the conveyor carriage (22) with the feed reel (14; 16) is then moved in the web running direction (A) into a holding position by means of the transport unit and is locked.
- Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the desired values of different sizes for the right-hand and left-hand lateral spacing (f; g) are matched to a half-width or quarter-width feed reel (14; 16).
- Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that a magnitude of a difference between desired values for the right-hand and left-hand spacings (f; g) is greater than or equal to a width of a quarter web.
- Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that a desired value for the right-hand or left-hand spacing (f; g) is optionally predefined in a machine-specific manner, and the second desired value is matched to the width of the feed reel (14).
