Abstract

The method uses a dust-applicator which comprises at least one row of nozzles extending over the maximum format width of the printing material. The current consisting of compressed air and dusting material emerging from the nozzles through the dust-applicator is constantly produced. The flow volume is entirely or partially sucked up directly by the nozzles and returned into the dust-applicator circuit. The flow volume not sucked up is conveyed to the plane of motion and the direction of the motion of the printed material on a slope towards the printed material.

Description

The invention relates to a method for dusting a printing material in a Printing machine, with at least one row of the substrate width extending pollination nozzles according to the preamble of the main claim. The process is particularly suitable for sheet-shaped substrates.

A pollination device for powder pollination of freshly printed sheets is known from DE 22 07 983 B2. The facility is said to be the dusting of Prevent powder beyond the limits of the effective range and powder recovery enable. Above the sheet conveying level is a powder feed tube arranged from the powder dusted on the sheet by means of compressed air becomes. In the sheet conveying direction before and after the powder feed tube is as Blow curtain each arranged a blow pipe with an associated suction pipe through which excess powder can be sucked off. The outlet openings of the outlet nozzles are at right angles to the sheet conveying plane, i.e. arranged vertically.

From DE 42 07 118 A1 it is known, among other things, that a powder box in Direction of conveyance after the powder nozzle arrangement a greater distance than before this has. There is an air nozzle arrangement in the conveying direction after the powder arrangement available, the blown air flows against the direction of conveyance. The powder area is created by means of an air curtain that can be generated by compressed air sealed off, whereby air and powder are sucked off.

Furthermore, from DE 295 17 283 U1 is a powder device in the boom Printing machine known. The device has a blower, preferably one Axial fan, which is directed perpendicular to the sheet conveying plane Airflow generated and that the powder nozzles arranged in this airflow are.

A disadvantage of these designs is that the uncontrolled leakage of Pollination material in the printing press, especially in the sheet delivery, is not sufficiently prevented. This leads to machine contamination are exacerbated by excessive dosing of pollination material. The use of blow and suction pipes as an air curtain creates additional Turbulence and swirling powder, the turbulence in connection with passing Gripper systems reinforced during the pollination process can be. Furthermore, especially at higher machine speeds (> 8,000 sheets / hour) the quality that can be achieved in the pollination process unsatisfactory. For example, the substrates fixed in the gripper closure are often in the Area of the leading edge insufficiently dusted, causing the arch to be deposited Leads on the leading edge in the delivery stack.

According to EP-A-0074045, a device for applying powder particles is on known a printed sheet in the delivery of a printing press. By means of a a spray device generating gas flow, powder particles are placed on the Bow transported. The spray device is outside and below that of arranged in an endlessly encircling chain conveyor system, so that the powder flow is only directed towards the underside of the sheet. Before powder particles emerge from an opening of the spray device, there is a Part of the powder flow within the spray device via an outlet channel extractable. In one embodiment, the spray device is an electrode for electrical Charging the arc associated with certain polarity. Still is another electrode for electrically charging the powder particles with the opposite one Polarity provided. If there is no arch over the opening, kick also no charged powder material from this opening. The powder stream is directed towards the outlet channel by a prevailing negative pressure.

The object of the invention is to provide a pollination process that the above Avoids disadvantages, especially a more uniform pollination of the Substrates guaranteed and the consumption of pollination material noticeable reduced.

The object is achieved by the training features of the claim 1 solved. Further training results from the subclaims.

According to the invention, a stationary device is installed inside a pollination device Flow, built up as a pollination material and separated at outlet nozzles Compressed air, or as a mixture of pollination material and compressed air, in one flow direction. The known structure of a Blow curtain can be avoided by the volume flow completely or partially already sucked off at the nozzles and in a circulation system of the pollination device is fed back for reuse. The not vacuumed Volume flow that hits the substrate in the direction of flow, becomes dependent on the substrate width format and / or the substrate length format or the print image (subject) controlled according to the substrate transported.

The advantage of this solution is that turbulence has little influence on the volume flow obtained because excess pollination material is sucked off directly at the outlet at the nozzles becomes. Furthermore, the reaction times are due to the direct suction at the outlet nozzles shortened, so that even at high machine speeds too much Powder becomes avoidable. By vacuuming on the nozzles or branching off one Partial flow within the pollination device is only the required volume flow led to the substrate. This is also a noticeable reduction in consumption of pollinating material achievable. By controlled suction, optionally after the criteria: - format length, - format width, - print image, is a further reduction in consumption achievable.

The invention will be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment.

In a multi-color offset printing machine, a pollination device is arranged in the delivery, which has at least one row of nozzles extending over the maximum format width of the printing material. The nozzles are used for the separate discharge of compressed air or pollination material or for the discharge of a mixture of pollination material and compressed air.
At the beginning of the pollination process, the pollinating material emerging at the nozzles is first sucked off completely over the entire width of the format, for example by a suction device. When the first sheet arrives in the area of the dusting device, the exiting volume flow is sucked off depending on the format width, for example by a suction device, and returned to a circuit. The volume flow not sucked out continues to emerge from the nozzles and strikes the printing material at an acute angle to the conveying plane and in the conveying direction of the printing material. The dusting of the dusting material at the nozzles is additionally dependent on the format length of the printing material and / or on the format width of the printing material and / or depending on the print image. The control of the format width, format length or print image dependent suction is preferably carried out from a control center.
To meter the volume flow of compressed air and dusting material, a partial volume flow can already be branched off within the dusting device by means of an internal suction in front of the nozzles. The partial volume flow is then fed directly to the pollination device in a circuit.
