Definitions
- the invention relates to a roller or ice skate having a structure facilitating automatic footwear improving the practice of skating.
- roller skates as described in particular in the document FR 2 286 667 generally consist of a plate supporting rollers on which straps are mounted allowing the temporary attachment of the shoe. Although allowing the use of non-specific shoes, these roller skates have the major drawback of requiring the user to adjust the straps on each boot, which can be tedious and painful. Such a structure is found in the device similar to roller skates such as described in patent EP 0 334 783.
- a first problem which the invention therefore proposes to solve is that automatic fitting of a roller skate.
- a second problem which the invention therefore proposes to solve is that of lateral and longitudinal support of the foot.
- a third problem which the invention therefore proposes to solve is that to ensure a good transmission of the supports necessary for a sporting practice roller skating.
- the invention therefore aims to provide a roller skate which is easy to put on, can be worn with comfortable soft shoes for walking when the user has left the pads, which allow when the pad is mounted and locked the grip and the ankle support during propulsion.
- Such a shoe-skate combination is known for example from AT-395 377.
- the means allowing the automatic shoes are located at the level of the arch of the foot.
- the rigid stirrup is articulated on the plate and connects the two lateral sides of the plate at the clearance of the arch passing over the calcaneus and gripping the stem above heel.
- the rigid stirrup forms a gutter and connects the two lateral sides of the plate also at the level of the arch of the foot, through a frame forming an upward extension of the platinum.
- the stirrup forming the gutter is integral with the shoe and comes to lock in position on the plate when putting on the skate.
- the stirrup is cut at the level of the Achilles tendon to form two or more side branches connected by a loop generally by a device making it possible to tighten the two branches after the installation of the stirrup.
- the rigid stirrup comprises a first portion oriented towards the malleoli and a second portion extending the first portion, facing forward from the bottom of the leg as well a strap connecting the first portions passing behind the tendon Achilles and above the heel.
- the rigid bracket is foldable on the plate to be retractable during storage and transport of the skid, to reduce the overall size.
- the rigid stirrup comprises means for temporary attachment to the upper of the shoe.
- the means of temporary joining are consisting of nipples arranged on the top of the stem above the calcaneus and in the vicinity of the Achilles tendon, intended to cooperate with holes complementary to this effect on the inside of the part corresponding to the rigid bracket.
- the stirrup can advantageously include an enlarged zone at the level of the malleolus.
- stirrup can be asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal plane median of the plate to take into account the location of the supports during pulses.
- the side located inside the foot can be higher than that located at outside.
- the rigid stirrup is formed of two main branches at least one having means for lock the shoe latching means on the boot in the closed position platinum. In other words, in this way, the installation of the stirrup ensures a locking in position of the latching means thus avoiding any stalling unexpected turntable.
- the legs of the stirrup have lights which coincide with ventilation zones provided in the flexible rod.
- the invention preferably relates to inline roller skates.

- This pad (1) is intended for receive a flexible shoe (5).
- the rigid stirrup (3) is articulated on the plate (2), and has a general shape complementary to a external shape of the upper (6) of the boot (5), to grip it when it is positioned on the plate (2), with the user's foot in place in the shoe (5).
- This stirrup can be articulated on a pin (10) mounted on the plate as illustrated in Figures 1 and 2, or even be articulated directly on an axis (11) of a caster (4) ( Figure 3).
- the rigid bracket (3) connects the two lateral sides of the plate (2) substantially at the level of the arch of the foot.
- the legs of the stirrup (3) have shapes complementary to the portion of the shoe (5) opposite which they are intended to come, for proceed with a temporary and removable connection.
- this connection is obtained by a set of pins (12) located in projection of a semi-rigid zone (13) of the rod (6). These pins (12) are intended to penetrate holes (14) drilled on each of the legs of the stirrup (3).
- the invention is not limited to this platform shown, but covers the variants in which the nipples are located on the stirrup and enter unrepresented housings of the rod (6), or the mixed variants.
- the holes (14) of the stirrup (3) can also be blind, without departing from the scope of the invention. More generally, the spirit of the invention is respected as soon as there is cooperation between the shoe and the stirrup.
- the attachment point can also be located at the Achilles tendon.
- the stirrup (3) is split at the level of the Achilles tendon area to allow the separation of the two branches of the stirrup when raising or lowering it.
- the two branches of the stirrup (3) are connected by a loop (15), or any hooking means allowing to bring the two arms of the stirrup together, and to keep them flat against the corresponding area (13) of the shoe.
- This tightening means can be produced in various ways, that is to say by means of a loop (15) such that shown, but also by means of a strap or any other means equivalent not shown.
- the position of the stirrup, and more precisely of its articulation axis (10) relative to the plate (2) can be adjusted longitudinally.
- the plate has a plurality of housings (17) inside which can be accommodated the male part of the axis (10) of articulation of the stirrup (3).
- the invention is not limited to the means of adjustment by a plurality of drilled holes as shown in Figure 4, but covers all variants allowing, in particular to fine and precise positioning of the stirrup (3) relative to the plate (2). Mention may in particular be made of means allowing double longitudinal and height adjustment, by double crossed lights (not shown) for example.
- the stirrup (3) can have a light (18). This light (18) comes opposite openwork areas (19) of the shoe (5) ensuring ventilation of the foot of the user.
- the stirrup (3) may include a additional strap that connects its two branches, from hooking points medians, passing over the instep, so as to hold the foot, in particular with regard to the lateral supports exerted in the phases of propulsion.
- This strap can be fitted with tightening means not shown, hook or Velcro® type.
- the bracket (23) has a different shape.
- This stirrup (23) is constituted on each side of the shoe by a branch constituted by a first rigid portion (24) articulated on the plate (2), at level of the hinge pin (10), and extending to near the malleoli.
- This first portion (24) is extended forward by a second rigid portion (25) oriented towards the bottom of the leg above the instep.
- This second portion (25) can be connected from one side to the other of the shoe by not forming a single piece, or be independent and connected by a strap of tightening not shown.
- the free end (26) of the branch (24) is connected to a strap (28) around the back of the foot, at the Achilles tendon.
- This strap can be fitted with all tightening means as already mentioned.
- stirrup (3) can be asymmetrical with respect to the median plane of the skate, that is to say present different shapes on the inner and outer side of the skate.
- this stirrup (3) can have a larger surface on the side internal of the skate, thus allowing a better grip.
- the plate (2) is equipped with means (20) allowing the automatic fitting of the shoe by snap.
- means (20) consist of an attachment zone (21) located at the front, substantially at the metatarsophalangeal joint and by a mechanism located at the level of the arch of the foot.
- the hanging area comprises a hook (21) integral with the plate and oriented towards the front, intended for cooperate with a transverse axis (22) integral with the sole of the shoe.
- the attachment mechanism is formed by the association of an articulated part (30) and a spring (31).
- the set of parts (30, 31) constitutes a bi-stable lock as described in the Application FR 96.11335 by the Applicant, not yet published on the date of filing of the present application, so there is no need to describe here more precisely the architecture, nor the operation of these means in detail.
- the room (30) has a housing (32) at the interior of which is intended to engage a corresponding part of the shoe.
- this part (30) includes locking means in the locked position, to avoid any unexpected stalling of the plate.
- these means consist of a groove (33) formed in the part (30), inside which can be accommodated a sliding axis (34) free to move longitudinally in a slot (35) provided for this purpose in the plate.
- This stop may advantageously include a elastomeric pad, to make the rear support more elastic and more comfortable.
- the stirrup (3) has in its lower part an open area (36) one of the edges (37) of which is capable of coming into contact with the axis (34) and of forcing this last to penetrate inside the groove (33) when the stirrup is in position raised corresponding to a use of the skate. So, in practice, when the user has put on the plate, the simple fact of raising the rear stirrup locks the latching system (20) and prohibits all unexpected trigger.
- the plate comprises a stop (40), illustrated in FIG. 8 making it possible to limit the amplitude of the rear stirrup movements (3).
- This has the effect of allowing the taking of support backwards, the stirrup (3) constituting a fixed point when its outline rear (41) comes into contact with the stop (40).
- this stop (40) is retractable at the rear of the plate for allow the tilting of the stirrup (3) towards the rear.
- the stirrup (45) constituted by the association a frame (46) on which is mounted a gutter (47).
- the frame (46) is fixed rise relative to the plate (2), and connects the two sides of the clearance of the arch, passing through the Achilles tendon, at the level of the calcaneus.
- the associated gutter (47) is articulated on the frame (46) at a hinge pin (48) located as close as possible to the lower end of the frame (46). This axis (48) can be adjustable in position on the frame.
- This gutter (47) when in the active position, that is to say resting on the frame (46) rises to the level of the upper part of the rod of the shoe (5). It extends forward to cover a maximum suitable surface to the transmission of forces.
- the position of the stirrup (45) is adjustable on the plate (2), to adapt to the different shoe sizes shoes.
- the stirrup (50) is integral with the shoe (51). More specifically, this stirrup (50) has two branches (52) extending laterally and downwards at the level of the malleoli, and joining at the rear at Achilles tendon level, above the calcaneus.
- This stirrup (50) is articulated relative to the shoe by means of pivots (53) or axes authorizing the tilting of the stirrup (50) towards the rear.
- this stirrup or this gutter (50) does not stiffen the shoe, which retains the flexibility qualities appreciated for walking.
- This flexible shoe (51) is intended to be mounted on a suitable plate illustrated in figure (10).
- this plate (55) comprises in the middle part a armature (56) similar to the armature (46) illustrated in FIG. 7.
- the position longitudinal of this frame (56) is adjustable along the plate (55).
- This frame (56) connects the edges of the plate passing over the heel of the shoe (51).
- This rigid frame (56) has a pair of housings (57) near its attachment zone on the plate (55). These accommodations (57) have a substantially horizontal axis (58) opening towards the front of the armature.
- This housing (57) is intended to receive the pivots (53) located at the level of the plantar release of the shoe. So when putting on the shoe, the user positions the shoe relative to the plate so that the pivots (53) are present at the entrance (59) of the housings (57). A portion chamfered (60) can advantageously in practice facilitate the fitting in blinded.
- the pivot (53) When the pivot (53) is engaged in the housing (57), the user performs a movement of his foot backwards on the one hand, to operate the automatic shoe attachment system on the plate (not shown) and secondly, bring the pivot (53) to the bottom of the housing (57). In this way, the cooperation of the stirrup (50) and the frame (56) prevents any lateral movement of the shoe. This transverse rigidity is particularly appreciable for the roller skating sport.
