Abstract

Ein Gehäuse, insbesondere ein Fassungsgehäuse für Glühlampen mit Schraubsockel, sowie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des Gehäuses und Vorrichtungen zur Durchführung des Verfahrens. Das aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff bestehende, im wesentlichen axialsymmetrisch aufgebaute Gehäuse ist an einem Ende als in axialer Richtung (S) offener Hohlzylinder ausgebildet und aus zwei Halbschalen (1.1, 1.2) derart zusammengesetzt, daß die Gehäuseachse (S) in der Trennebene liegt. Die Halbschalen (1.1, 1.2) sind mit ihren Rändern aneinander angesetzt und durch Ultraschallschweißung miteinander verbunden. Hierzu sind die Ränder der Halbschalen mit einander übergreifenden flachen Stegen (2.11, 2.12, 2.22) versehen. Die durch die Ultraschallschweißung miteinander verbundenen Fügeflächen (3.11, 3.22) liegen an den Seitenflächen der Stege und verlaufen senkrecht zur Trennebene der Halbschalen. Außerhalb der Fügezonen sind an der einen Halbschale Anschlagflächen (15) angeordnet, die parallel zur Trennebene und senkrecht zu den Fügeflächen verlaufen und im zusammengesetzten Zustand des Gehäuses an entsprechenden Gegenanschlägen (16) der anderen Halbschale anliegen. Es findet eine Nahfeldverschweißung der beiden Halbschalen miteinander statt, indem Ultraschallenergie den Fügezonen zugeführt wird.

The housing made of thermoplastic, essentially axially symmetrical, is designed at one end as a hollow cylinder open in the axial direction (S) and composed of two half-shells (1.1, 1.2) in such a way that the housing axis (S) lies in the parting plane. The edges of the half-shells (1.1, 1.2) are attached to one another and connected to one another by ultrasonic welding. For this purpose, the edges of the half-shells are provided with flat webs (2.11, 2.12, 2.22) which overlap one another. The joining surfaces (3.11, 3.22) connected by the ultrasonic welding lie on the side surfaces of the webs and run perpendicular to the parting plane of the half-shells. Outside of the joining zones, stop surfaces (15) are arranged on one half shell, which run parallel to the parting plane and perpendicular to the joining surfaces and, when the housing is assembled, bear against corresponding counter stops (16) of the other half shell. The two half-shells are welded to each other in the near field by supplying ultrasonic energy to the joining zones.
