- the present invention relates to a device for concealing light radiation for a motor vehicle headlamp.
- Light-shielding devices for the headlight of a motor vehicle are well known and widely used. Their function is to prevent the light emitted by the filament of a projector lamp from being diffused directly outwards through the closing glass of the projector. In other words, it is a question of limiting the emission of light in such a way that it only meets the bottom and the lateral parts of the mirror which equips the projector, before being returned, after reflection, through ice.
- Such a concealer generally has a shape which allows it to cover the front of the lamp, and has a front or anterior face which prevents any direct diffusion of light towards the lens of the projector. It also has lateral parts, the edges of which have notches of a shape such that light can only be emitted towards the useful part of the mirror.
- Document FR-A-2 343 966 describes a radiation shield. This covers only the front and bottom parts of the lamp. Slots in the lower part are provided to allow the lamp to cool. These slots are sufficient to properly perform their lamp cooling function. The heat released by it can also be evacuated through the large space left free by the screen.
