Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for use the remaining sensible and latent heat (residual heat) an exhaust gas of a combustion system, in which the exhaust gas a residual heat exchanger flows, water vapor contained in the exhaust gas in the residual heat exchanger at least partially to one Condensate condenses and the condensate in a the residual heat exchanger comprehensive condensate circuit is performed.
- the present invention further relates to a device to use the remaining sensible and latent heat (Residual heat) of an exhaust gas from a combustion plant with a Condensate circuit through which the exhaust gas flows Residual heat exchanger includes in the contained in the exhaust gas Water vapor can be condensed at least partially to form a condensate is.
- Residual heat exchanger includes in the contained in the exhaust gas Water vapor can be condensed at least partially to form a condensate is.
- Such methods and devices are, for example, from FR-A-2 543 663.
- the net amount of condensate formed is the difference from the in the residual heat exchanger through condensation from the exhaust gas total amount of condensate formed and that in the residual heat exchanger to understand the amount of condensate evaporated by the exhaust gas.
- a monodisperse condensate spray is used in this context defined using the drop size spectrum as follows:
- d 0.05 be the drop diameter for which it applies that all drops of the condensate spray, the diameter of which is smaller than this diameter, together comprise 5% of the liquid volume of the spray.
- d 0.95 be the drop diameter for which it applies that all drops of the condensate spray whose diameter is larger than this diameter together comprise 5% of the liquid volume of the spray.
- a condensate spray should be considered monodisperse if the ratio of the diameter d 0.95 to the diameter d 0.05 is less than approximately 1.2.
- a monodisperse condensate spray therefore has a very narrow one Drop size distribution.
- the mean drop diameter can therefore be chosen so that it is only slightly above the Minimum diameter, from which a condensate drop does not more of the exhaust gas flow is carried away because it is in the condensate spray only a few drops are there, which is a much smaller one Have diameter as the mean drop diameter.
- the concept of the invention has the advantage that such Condensate drops that are carried away by the exhaust gas flow and therefore by means of a droplet separator with loss of energy from the exhaust gas flow at the exhaust gas outlet of the residual heat exchanger must be separated, not at all or only in sufficient small amount are generated.
- a droplet separator at the exhaust outlet could therefore be used to be dispensed with. In practice, however an additional undesirable drop formation directly at the exhaust gas outlet occur.
- a droplet separator may be required. Because of the Reduced compared to the known spray heat exchangers Loading of the exiting exhaust gas with inside the residual heat exchanger The droplet separator can generate the generated condensate droplets in the solution according to the invention, however, instead of be designed in several stages and a lower flow resistance exhibit.
- the simplest design for generating the condensate jet consists of the condensate jet flowing out the condensate from a nozzle bore with an inlet opening and to produce an outlet opening.
- the condensate flow disintegrates the generated condensate jet by Rayleigh decay into a monodisperse condensate spray.
- the Reynolds number of the condensate flow at an outlet of the nozzle bore is set to a value less than approximately 5,000, preferably less than approximately 2,500.
- the Reynolds number is advantageously hindered the condensate flow at the outlet of the nozzle bore a value greater than about 100, preferably greater than about 500, set.
- the flow resistance for the flow the nozzle bore is not too big, it is from Advantage when using a nozzle bore with a nozzle channel whose length is at most about 5 times Diameter of the outlet opening corresponds to the nozzle bore.
- the cheapest is when a nozzle bore with a essentially cylindrical nozzle channel is used.
- one essentially cylindrical nozzle bore with a conical inlet an opening angle of less than approximately 60 ° and with a length that is at least the approximate diameter of the Corresponds to the outlet opening of the nozzle bore.
- a conical inlet also a rounded inlet with a radius of curvature that at least the approximate diameter of the outlet opening corresponds to the nozzle bore.
- a nozzle bore is used with a nozzle duct that faces the outlet opening tapered towards.
- the tapered nozzle channel has an opening angle of less than approximately 10 °.
- this nozzle bore has a conical Inlet with an opening angle of less than approximately 60 ° and with a length that is at least a fifth of the approximate Diameter of the outlet opening of the nozzle bore corresponds.
- a nozzle bore that has a rounded inlet with a radius of curvature that is at least a fifth the approximate diameter of the outlet opening of the nozzle bore corresponds.
- the Weber number of these drops is advantageous to a value less than about 10, preferably less than about 5, especially less than about 2, set.
- the Weber number can essentially be changed by changing the relative speed u r or the average drop diameter.
- the relative speed u r depends on the flow rate of the condensate at the outlet openings of the nozzle bores and on the flow rate of the exhaust gas in the residual heat exchanger, which is essentially inversely proportional to the cross-sectional area of the residual heat exchanger. Furthermore, the relative speed u r depends on the orientation of the exhaust gas flow relative to the direction of fall of the condensate spray. If the exhaust gas flow is conducted in the opposite direction to the condensate flow through the residual heat exchanger, i.e. according to the counterflow principle, whereby a particularly good heat transfer between the exhaust gas and the condensate is achieved, the falling speed of the condensate drops and the flow rate of the exhaust gas add up to the relative speed u r .
- the relative speed u r corresponds to the difference between the falling speed of the condensate drops and the flow speed of the exhaust gas.
- the temperature gradient between the exhaust gas and the condensate flow is reduced, which slows down the heat transfer between the same, but the relative speed u r and thus the Weber number, in which the relative speed u r is quadratic, also decrease considerably.
- the exhaust gas is therefore advantageously conducted through the residual heat exchanger in the same direction as the condensate.
- the condensate jet is generated so that it does not crumble into drops until it hits one at the bottom of the Residual heat exchanger arranged condensate sump hits.
- the Number of condensate drops entrained to the exhaust outlet however already significantly reduced when the condensate jet remains intact at least up to the level of the exhaust gas outlet and only disintegrates into drops below the exhaust outlet.
- the Condensate jet by flowing the condensate out of a Nozzle bore with an inlet opening and an outlet opening to create.
- the Reynolds number of the condensate flow at the outlet opening of the nozzle bore a value less than about 20,000, preferably less than about 10,000, and greater than about 100 becomes.
- a nozzle bore is advantageously used used with a substantially cylindrical nozzle channel.
- Such cylindrical nozzle channels are the cheapest punched out of a nozzle plate.
- the smallest channel diameter which can be produced by stamping about the plate thickness.
- the thickness of the nozzle plate can therefore not be larger than the diameter of the
- Nozzle channels which is less than about 1 mm in diameter problems with the mechanical stability of the nozzle plate leads.
- These problems can be solved by the fact that Nozzle plate on its underside with a stronger support plate connected, for example glued, the Support plate coaxial to the nozzle channels of the nozzle plate Has channels, the diameter of which exceeds that of the nozzle channels.
- the provision of the support plate creates a composite plate created with sufficient rigidity without the Influence the formation of the condensate jets.
- the ratio of the diameter of the nozzle channel to the thickness of the nozzle plate preferably chosen approximately equal to one.
- nozzle bores produced in any way, it is inexpensive to avoid decay of the condensate jet, if the condensate jet has little adhesion to the Has walls of the nozzle bore. It is therefore an advantage if a nozzle bore with a nozzle channel is used, the length of which is less than twice, preferably is less than half the approximate diameter of the Inlet opening of the nozzle bore.
- the Diameter is greater than about 0.2 mm, in particular larger than about 0.4 mm.
- the largest possible heat exchanger surface the surface of the condensate jet or that from the condensate jet it is advantageous to obtain the resulting drops used a nozzle bore whose diameter is less than about 2.5 mm.
- the condensate jet or that from it resulting condensate spray near an exhaust gas inlet in the residual heat exchanger evaporates at least partially, whereby the hot exhaust gas entering the residual heat exchanger is cooled becomes.
- the amount of condensate used is at most approximately one tenth, preferably at most approximately one hundredth, the amount of condensate entering the residual heat exchanger is.
- the time for the Generation of the evaporative condensate spray used amount of condensate approximately that in the residual heat exchanger through condensation corresponds to the net amount of condensate formed from the exhaust gas.
- the evaporative condensate spray is generated by spraying from an atomizer nozzle.
- the evaporative condensate spray by means of an atomizing nozzle be provided that the evaporative condensate spray through Impingement of the condensate jet or by impinging on Drops of one created by the decay of the condensate jet Condensate sprays are generated on an atomizing plate.
- the condensate jet creates impacts on the atomizing plate or small droplets from the condensate spray or Ligaments that form the evaporative condensate spray. This Type of generation of the evaporative condensate spray required only little design effort and no additional Energy supply.
- a perforated plate as an atomizer plate is used because such a perforated plate for both through exhaust gas flowing the residual heat exchanger as well for that Condensate is partially permeable, so that neither the exhaust nor the condensate flow through the residual heat exchanger through the Atomizer plate are interrupted.
- Condensate heating water heat exchanger in the residual heat exchanger heat absorbed from the exhaust gas from the condensate to heating water in a heating water circuit.
- Condensate hot water heat exchanger in the residual heat exchanger heat absorbed from the exhaust gas from the condensate delivered to process water in a process water supply line becomes.
- the residual heat is used effectively the flue gas of the combustion system also during the Summer operation of the combustion system possible if the heating water circuit is shut down and the furnace only for heating domestic water, for example after the instantaneous water heater process is put into operation.
- the entire usable stored in the condensate Heat to the heating water circuit or the hot water in the To be able to deliver the domestic water supply line it is favorable if a condensate flow through the condensate circuit after Switching off the combustion system during a run-on time is maintained. Then during this lag time the condensate in the condensate heating water heat exchanger and / or in the condensate process water heat exchanger in the residual heat exchanger heat absorbed from the exhaust gas to the Heating water or the domestic water.
- the object underlying the invention is further achieved by the device of claim 49 and by the device solved according to claim 69.
- the devices according to the invention offer the advantage that drops of condensate from the exhaust gas flow through the Residual heat exchanger can be carried away, either not or only to a small extent, so that the required to form undesirably small drops of condensate Energy expenditure is avoided and ideally on one Drop separator at the exhaust gas outlet of the residual heat exchanger be dispensed with, at least with a droplet separator lower flow resistance can be selected.

From an outlet of the hot water storage tank leads another process water pipe to the process water tapping points.
- the first embodiment of the The device 30 according to the invention works in winter operation, So with existing heating water circulation in the heating water circuit 152, as follows:
- Heating water from the heating water boiler 34 passes through the Heating water supply line 154 into the radiator arrangement 156, gives off heat when it passes through it and returns through it Heating water line 158, the heating water service water heat exchanger 160, the heating water line 162, the condensate heating water heat exchanger 96 and the heating water return line 164 back into the heating water boiler 34.
- the heating water by going through the heating water circuit 152 loses heat, the average temperature decreases of the heating water boiler 34 until it falls below a switch-on temperature of the burner 32 drops, at which the burner 32 in Operation is carried out to the heating water in the boiler 34 to reheat. Reaches the water in the boiler 34 a switch-off temperature of the burner 32, so the burner 32 is switched off again.
- the heating water circuit 52 can cause the temperature to drop in the heating water boiler 34 also by one during each short time intervals that follow each other at irregular intervals, removal of process water from the Process water supply line 166 can be effected because the process water when flowing through the heat exchanger coil 174 the Heating water in the heating water boiler 34 removes heat.
- the baffle plate is located 60 of the temperature changer 38 in the pass-through position, so that they come from the exhaust pipe 36 forth Exhaust gas through the exhaust gas supply pipe 40 to the exhaust gas inlet 42 of the Residual heat exchanger 44 directs.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 The direction of flow of the exhaust gas is in FIGS. 1 and 2 indicated by arrows.
- the Condensate pump in the condensate circuit 62 started up, with the three-way valve 126 in one position in which there is the condensate line 124 with the condensate line 128 connects and the condensate line 130 from the condensate circuit 62 is separated.
- the condensate flows from the condensate line 124 through the condensate line 128 and the upper condensate inlet 54 into the nozzle prechamber 134 of the residual heat exchanger 44.
- the condensate is under a slight overpressure of, for example, 0.1 bar through the nozzle bores 138 in the nozzle plate 132 is pressed into the heat exchanger space 136.
- each of the Nozzle bores 138 freely through the heat exchanger space 136 falling condensate jet 178, which after falling through Length of decay into the drops of a condensate spray 180.
- the decay of a condensate jet 178 with a round cross-section takes place according to one of the following decay mechanisms: Rayleigh decay, membrane decay or fiber decay.
- the Rayleigh decay leads to the formation of a monodisperse Condensate sprays 180.
- the flow rate of the condensate through the nozzle channels 146 is adjusted by means of the condensate pump 80 such that the Reynolds number of the condensate flow at the orifices of the nozzle channels 146 is less than about 5,000, preferably less than about 2,500, and greater than about 100, preferably greater than about 500.
- the flow rate of the condensate at the mouth openings of the nozzle bores 138 corresponds to the ratio of the condensate volume flow in the condensate circuit 62 and the total area of the mouth openings of all nozzle bores 138 of the nozzle plate 132.
- the relative speed between the falling drops and the gas atmosphere surrounding them is set in the heat exchanger space 136 such that the Weber number of drops is less than 10, preferably less as 5, in particular less than 2.
- the relative speed u r corresponds to the sum of the falling speed of the condensate drops and the flow rate of the exhaust gas in the residual heat exchanger 44, the latter being inversely proportional to the cross-sectional area of the heat exchanger space 136 and thus essentially by the dimensioning of the residual heat exchanger 44.
- the condensate surface is due to the longer decay length reduced in the heat exchanger space 136, so that for exchange a predetermined amount of heat between the exhaust gas and the condensate requires a higher heat exchanger space 136 becomes; for this, however, decreases, especially in the upper area of the Heat exchanger space 136, where the exhaust outlet 52 is arranged is the danger that condensate droplets are entrained by the exhaust gas flow and carried out of the residual heat exchanger 44 become.
- Fig. 9 is an undesirable membrane decay of a condensate jet 178 shown.
- the condensate jet decays 178 into a condensate spray 180 with a very wide range of droplets.
- a wide range of drop sizes is disadvantageous because it includes small droplets from the exhaust gas flow carried away and carried out of the residual heat exchanger if there is no additional downstream droplet separator is provided.
- the other includes the condensate spray 180 with a wide drop size range also relative large drops or filaments that are low in specific Surface and thus a small specific heat exchange area exhibit.
- the membrane decay mechanism becomes large Share of the kinetic energy of the condensate flow dissipates, so that a higher pump output is required is.
- the membrane decay of the condensate jet 178 can occur if the Reynolds or Weber number is outside the above range mentioned, or in unfavorable form of the nozzle bores 138, if the bore walls are too rough or insufficient adhesion of the condensate to the walls of the nozzle bores 138.
- the condensate jet 178 also decays during fiber decay a condensate spray 180 with a wide droplet size range, the those already mentioned in connection with membrane decay Has disadvantages and also a higher pump performance required.
- the fiber decay can then just like the membrane decay occur when the aforementioned favorable range of Reynolds or Weber numbers is left or the nozzle bores 138 unfavorably shaped, the walls of the nozzle holes 138 are too rough or the condensate is too weak adheres to the walls of the nozzle bores 138.
- the partial evaporation of the condensate spray 180 formed water vapor flows together with the cooled Exhaust gas and the water vapor already contained against it Fall direction of the condensate spray 180 in the heat exchanger space 138 upwards, with the exhaust gas cooling further, so that in upper region of the heat exchanger space adjacent to the nozzle plate 132 136 the water vapor carried in the exhaust gas to the Drop of condensate spray 180 condenses, with the circulating Condensate mass flow the latent contained in the steam Absorbs heat.
- the amount of that in the upper area of the heat exchange space 136 condensing water vapor is greater than the amount of im evaporated lower region of the heat exchanger space 136 Condensate, so that as a result of the exhaust gas in the residual heat exchanger 44 at least partially got water vapor condensed and latent heat to the condensate mass flow releases in the condensate circuit 62.
- the condensate Since the condensate is felt and latent heat from the Absorbs exhaust gas flow, it acts as a cooling medium for the exhaust gas the burner 32.
- the pro Unit of time in the heat exchanger space 136 additionally from the exhaust gas condensed amount of condensate approximately one thousandth to a hundredth of that per unit time in the heat exchanger room 136 amount of condensate entering through the nozzle plate 132, the mass of which in turn is preferably about 10- to 100 times the mass of per unit time in the heat exchanger room 136 entering exhaust gas.
- the average drop size of the monodisperse condensate spray 180 is dependent on the flow rate of the exhaust gas in the heat exchanger space 136 selected so that the drops are not caused by the exhaust gas flow from the heat exchanger room 136 are entrained by the exhaust gas outlet 52.
- the exhaust gas is not only cooled and dried in the residual heat exchanger 44, but also cleaned, since pollutants carried in the exhaust gas are dissolved in the condensate flow.
- pollutants carried in the exhaust gas are dissolved in the condensate flow.
- SO 2 formed is washed out of the exhaust gas.
- the exhaust gas cooled in the residual heat exchanger 44 passes through the exhaust gas discharge pipe 56 to the temperature changer 38, where it passes through the deflection plate 60 in the pass-through position the chimney feed pipe 58 is deflected so that it finally through the (not shown) chimney in the atmosphere can escape.
- the Liquid level of the condensate sump 150 usually through Evaporation may have dropped below its maximum level.
- the level of the condensate sump 150 then rises during the Burner operation again until it reaches its maximum level reached and excess condensate through the condensate overflow 48 flows off.
- the condensate volume in the arranged below the condensate overflow 48 parts of the Condensate circuit at least five times, preferably at least ten times the condensate volume in the above the same arranged parts of the condensate circuit 62.
- the neutralized condensate is in the condensate filter 70 filtered and passes into the air injector 74 where it passes through the air supply line 76 is supplied with an air flow any sulfite ions dissolved in the condensate non-toxic sulfate ions are oxidized.
- the condensate enters the condensate pump from the air injector 74 80, the condensate circulation in the condensate circuit 62 maintained, and further by the flow meter 84 and the pressure meter 88, the monitoring of the operating state of the condensate circuit 62 and possibly the control the condensate pump 80 to the first branch 92.
- the further flow path of the condensate in the condensate circuit 62 from the first branch 92 depends on the respective operating state of the device 30, which, due to the temperature T Ko1 of the circulating condensate when leaving the condensate sump 150, the temperature T rub of the heating water in the heating water circuit 152 when entering the Condensate-hot water heat exchanger 96, the temperature T custom of the hot water in the hot water supply line 166 when leaving the condensate hot water heat exchanger 114, the presence of hot water withdrawal and the existence of a hot water circulation in the hot water circuit 152 is determined.
- the temperature T Ko1 is measured at any point in the condensate circuit 62 between the condensate outlet 46 from the residual heat exchanger 44 and the first branch 92.
- the temperature T back is measured in the heating water line 162 between the heating water output of the heating water / service water heat exchanger 160 and the heating water input of the condensate heating water heat exchanger 96.
- the temperature T custom is measured in the hot water line 170 between the hot water outlet of the condensate hot water heat exchanger 114 and the hot water inlet of the hot water hot water heat exchanger 160.
- the availability of hot water is checked using a in the hot water supply line 166, preferably in the Domestic water line 176 arranged (not shown) Sensor detected, for example, on a flow through the process water supply line 166 or to a pressure drop appeals in the same.
- Operating state A is when no hot water is withdrawn and the temperature T custom is less than or equal to the temperature T Ru or when hot water is removed and the temperature T Ko1 is greater than or equal to the temperature T poll .
- Operating state B is when domestic water is withdrawn and the temperature T Ko1 is lower than the temperature T br .
- the operating state C is when none of the operating states A or B is present, i.e. when no process water is being drawn and the temperature T custom is higher than the temperature T back .
- a control unit determines from the temperatures and the availability of hot water the respective operating state and switches that first check valve 110 and second check valve 122 in Dependence on the determined operating state.
- Both the first shut-off valve 110 are in the operating state A. as well as the second shut-off valve 122 closed.
- the condensate can therefore neither through the first bypass line 108 still flow through the second bypass line 120, but instead only flows through the condensate heating water heat exchanger 96, where there is heat to that in the heating water circuit 152 circulates heating water, and then through the check valve 106 and the condensate hot water heat exchanger 114, where there is heat to the process water in the process water supply line 166 issues.
- the condensate flows to the largest Part bypassing the condensate heating water heat exchanger 96 through the first bypass line 108 to the first merge 104 and from there through the condensate hot water heat exchanger 114, in which there is heat to the domestic water in the process water supply line 166.
- the condensate cannot the first merge 104 into the condensate heating water heat exchanger 96 flow.
- the condensate can also do not flow through the second bypass line 120 as this is blocked by the second check valve 122.
- the first shut-off valve 110 is in the operating state C. closed while the second shut-off valve 122 is open.
- the first bypass line 108 is thus for the condensate blocked so that it passes through from the first junction 92 the condensate heating water heat exchanger 96, in which there is heat releases the heating water in the heating water circuit 152 for second branch 100 flows.
- the condensate hot water heat exchanger 114 and the Condensate lines 102, 112 and 116 the condensate flows from the second branch 100 bypassing the condensate process water heat exchanger 114 through the second bypass 120 for the second merge 118.
- the condensate arrives in each of the operating states A, B and C. from the second junction 118 to the three-way valve 126.
- the three-way valve 126 is so during burner operation switched that the condensate through the condensate line 128th to the upper condensate inlet 54 of the residual heat exchanger 44 arrives so that in the heat exchanger space 136 of the residual heat exchanger 44 the monodisperse condensate spray 180 is formed can be
- the three-way valve 126 becomes so switched that the condensate from the condensate line 124 through the condensate line 130 and the lower condensate inlet 50 goes directly into the condensate sump 150.
- the Condensate circulation through the condensate circuit 62 thus shortened after the burner 32 is switched off (with reduced Performance of the condensate pump 80) continued for a while, the stored in the entire circulating condensate usable heat as completely as possible in the heat exchangers 96 and / or 114 to the heating water and the service water to deliver.
- the heating water reaches the heating water / process water heat exchanger 160, in which the heating water heat to the Dispenses hot water in the hot water supply line 166.
- the heating water reaches the condensate-heating water heat exchanger 96, in which the heating water heat from the condensate in the condensate circuit 62 if one of the Operating states A or C are present.
- heating water returns through the heating water return line 164 back into the heating water boiler 34.
- the process water in the process water supply line 166 is shown in the heat exchanger coil 174 of the heating water boiler 34 the heating water, in the heating water / process water heat exchanger 160 also by the heating water and, if one of the Operating conditions A or B are present in the condensate process water heat exchanger 114 warmed.
- the process water supply line 166 is then only of process water flows through if one of the (not shown) Hot water tapping points is open.

- the sum of the lengths of the lead-in area 182 and the lead-out area 184 is denoted by L '.
- the ratio of the length L 'to the diameter D' advantageously less than about 2, preferably less than about 1/2, chosen.
- the inlet opening of the inlet area 182 is preferred sharp-edged, meaning “sharp-edged” should be that the edge radius is less than approximately 1/4 of the diameter D 'of the inlet area 182. It is particularly favorable if the edge radius is less than is approximately 1/10 of the diameter D '.

- the amount of condensate sprayed corresponds on average over time approximately that in the residual heat exchanger 44 by condensation net amount of condensate formed to the exhaust gas.
- the amount of evaporative condensate spray formed by atomizer nozzle 188 187 is also chosen so that all droplets of the evaporative condensate spray 187 be completely evaporated by the hot exhaust gas flow.
- the Evaporative condensate spray 187 therefore does not necessarily need to to be monodisperse.
- the arithmetic mean droplet size of the evaporative condensate spray 187 is preferably only about 10 to 100 ⁇ m, the largest drops in this evaporative condensate spray 187 should be less than have about 200 ⁇ m.
- the diameter D of the nozzle channels 146 of the nozzle bores 138 in the nozzle plate 132 are chosen so that the drops of monodisperse condensate sprays 180 have a diameter of approximately 0.4 mm to about 5 mm, so relatively coarse are.

- the portion that does not evaporate of the condensate striking the atomizer plate 194 runs down the atomizer plate 194 and passes through a passage 196 between an edge of the atomizer plate 194 and the inner wall of the heat exchanger space 136 in the Condensate sump 150.
- Passage 196 is by means of a horizontal axis 198 swiveling closure plate provided with a stop 200 202 lockable.
- the stop 200 lies on an underside of the atomizer plate 194 and the passage 196 is for passage opened by condensate.
- the angle of inclination ⁇ of the atomizer plate 194 is preferred chosen between approximately 15 ° and approximately 40 °.
- the ratio of the cross section of the heat exchanger space 136 parallel projected area of the passage 196 to the parallel to the cross section of the heat exchanger space 136 projected area of atomizer plate 194 is preferred between about 1/20 and about 1/5.
