- the invention relates more particularly, a device adapted to ensure the recovery of lumbar lor ⁇ ose by retroversion of the Dassin, simultaneously with a work of the abdominal muscles, pelvic-trochanteric, glutes and also of the lumbar region in prone position.
- the present invention aims to remedy the drawbacks set out above by proposing in particular a device ensuring hypercorrective work of the muscles of the abdominal wall, pelvic-trochanteria and gluteal muscles by retroversion of the pelvis while straightening the lumbar spine in the general sense, but also likely to be used in a tight space.
- the object of the invention is also to propose a device allowing a person to be able to specifically work the abdominal, pelvic-trochanteric, gluteal and lumbar muscles without risk of trauma, even in the absence of advice from a person qualified and without prior knowledge of muscle building techniques and biomechanics. It also aims to propose a decompression of the intervertebral discs by straightening the lumbar region.
- the weight training device is constituted in the form of a formed, rigid and inextensible structure having successively in a given direction with a longitudinal axis of symmetry:
- - a functional base coming into contact with the ground and determining the trajectory of the movement comprising: - two flat zones linked by a circular or elliptical arc, determining a tilt angle of the pelvis.
- Fig. 1 is a top view of an exemplary embodiment of a pelvic retroverer according to the invention.
- Fig. 2 is a bottom view of an exemplary embodiment of a pelvic retroverer according to the invention.
- Fig.3 shows a side view of an exemplary embodiment of a pelvic retroverer according to the invention.

- the device according to the invention for ensuring the retroversion of the pelvis and causing a straightening of the lumbar spine simultaneously with a synergistic work of the muscles essentially of the abdominal, pelvic strap.
- trochanteric and buttocks of a person P is constituted in the form of a formed structure 1 intended, in the non-use position to be placed on the ground 2 in the general sense.
- the pelvic retroverer 1 has a general shape inscribed in a rectangular parallelogram elongated transversely, in the example illustrated, describes a T of axis of symmetry 3.
- the pelvic retroverer has a top face located in the horizontal plane and raised from the ground 2, intended to constitute an ergonomic support surface for the user and a base 1b coming into contact with the ground 2.
- the face 1a is separated from the part furthest from the base 1b and consequently from the ground 2 of a height h sufficient to allow the correct execution of the retroversion as shown in FIG. 3.
- the pelvic retroverer 1 present on its face above and symmetrical with respect to the axis 3 two iliac support zones 5 for the placement of the antero-superior iliac spines 17 of the pelvis.
- the pelvic retroverer has an abdominal recess 4 inclined more or less, open towards the front and centered on the axis of symmetry 3, separating the iliac zones 5 by a given width in order to leave the iliac zones 5 in elevation and to release the abdomen so as not to interfere with breathing or the contraction of the abdominal muscles.
- the pelvic retroverer 1 is also provided behind the zones 5 and extending the hollowed-out zone 4, with a pubic support surface 6 situated in the horizontal plane and centered on the axis 3, allowing the placement of the pubic 18 of the user.
- the connection of zones 4 and 6 forms a more or less open angle.
- this surface will be made flexible and comfortable by manufacturing, overmolding or bonding a foam.
- the pelvic retroverer also has an intermediate zone 7 of rounded shape, interrupted partially or completely by zone 4 according to the angle of inclination defined between the pubic support 6 and the abdominal median zone 4, and located vertically in front of and below zones 4 and 5 and opposite to pubic zone 6.
- the pelvic retroverer 1 has a base 1b as indicated in FIG. 2 whose function is to determine a trajectory in order to cause the retroversion of the pelvis.
- it represents a preferably middle portion with a flat area 8 parallel to the ground 2 located in the example plumb with the area 4 and separated from the face la by the height h, a smooth and preferably also slippery zone 10 also planar linked to zone 8 by an arc 9 on one side and to the pubic support zone 6 on the other side, as shown in FIG. 3.
- the zone 10 in the example proposed forms an angle c of approximately 20 "with the ground 2 but can be more or less open without departing from the scope of the invention and remaining within the functional limits for its use.
- the arc 9 the origin of which is located approximately perpendicular to the connection of zones 4 and 6 is circular or elliptical and represents the zone of rotation-sliding causing the retroversion of the pelvis. Its radius must be sufficient to allow the phenomenon of tilting of the pelvis.
- FIG. 7 shows another solution providing the same advantages by having free rotating cylinders 11 and 11 ′ mounted on their axes 12 and 12 ′ at the location of the arc 9 and in the area 10 to 1.
- opposite end for example
- Fig. 8 shows another type of embodiment of the pelvic retroverer by way of example
- This last figure shows the invention resting on a fixed cradle 13 with two cylinders 14 and 14 'free to rotate around of their respective axes fs 15 and 15 '.
- the arc 9 of larger radius is placed on the two cylinders.
- the functional base 1b can also extend over the entire width of the pelvic retroverer as shown in FIG. 9.
- the trajectory can also be defined thus on the edges and unfold on two edges 16 and 16 '.
- the pelvic retroverer can, whatever its principle of realization, be integrated into a table of scms of practitioner to be part of a system used for the corrective positioning of a person in prone position.
- the pelvic retroverer rests on the flat area 8 as shown in Fig.5.
- This area is defined flat to avoid the opposite phenomenon to the retroversion that is to say 1 hype ⁇ ordose.
- the pelvic retroverer such ⁇ e described above can be produced according to various models whose dimensions are adapted to the size of the users. Whatever the size of the pelvic retrovers, each of them had :. successively presents, in a given direction of their longitudinal axis 3, a top face where one distinguishes an abdominal area 4 hollowed out and inclined more or less forward, framed by two iliac support areas 5 for antero-superior iliac spines 17, a horizontal pubic support zone 6 for the pubis 18, extending zone 4 behind, a vertical intermediate zone 7 interrupted in whole or in part by the abdominal zone 4, and a base 1b which has a flat surface 8 connected to the flat and smooth surface 10 by a circular or elliptical arc 9 on one side and on the face there by the lower and middle part of the area 7 on the other side.
- the angle c formed between the surface 10 and the ground 2 is approximately 20 °.
- the pelvic retroverer is placed on the ground 2 to rest via the surface 8 of its base 1b.
- Person P intended to use the pelvic retroverter lies face down on the ground 2 and places the iliac support zones 5 under his antero-superior iliac spines 17 as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.
- the pubis 18 of the person will position themselves on the pubic support zone 6.
- the base lb rests only on salt 2 by the zone 8.
- the person P will thus exert a force f at the bottom and in front through his pubis as shown in Fig. 6.
- the zone 6 will start to collapse and pivot on the arc 9 while sliding on the ground 2.
- the anterior-superior iliac spines of the pelvis are raised up and back by the rotational movement of the lever pivoting on the arch 9. If the movement is very: the flat area 10 will come into full contact with the salt 2 and will slide on the floor 2 under the pressure of the pubis and the contraction of the abdominal muscles: .. The retroversion of the pelvis will be maximum and there will be a straightening of the lumbar spine.
- the abdominal region is relieved and undergoes no pressure hindering breathing thanks to the opening of the abdominal zone 4.
- the pelvis thus pivots as the shows Fig.6 by straightening the lumbar lordosis advantageously leading to a relaxation of the iliac psoas muscles 19 represents at. the pelvic-trochanteric muscles, not shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the hamstring muscles 20 and gluteus maximus 21 as well as the abdominal muscles 22 whose role is most important.
- the pelvic retroverer 1 is made of a material :: making it possible to obtain the shape described and proposed in Fig.1,2, 3, 7,8 and 9. It can be in the form of a rigid hollow shell with the comfortable iliac 5 and pubic 6 support zones added by gluing, clipping or overmolding, or be made of cellular material filling the entire volume of the pelvic retroverer.
- the pelvic retroverer according to the invention constitutes an easy-to-use device, requiring no assistance, while allowing correct positioning for the user during the execution of the movements.
- the pelvic retroversor according to the invention promotes the recovery of lumbar lordosis by the synergistic action of the muscles causing retroversion of the pelvis.
