Definitions
- the invention relates to a connector that with a Plug with three long contact pins, one flat elongated protective contact pin and one in its Center threaded hole is to be connected.
- Plug with three long contact pins, one flat elongated protective contact pin and one in its The center of the threaded hole is a standard, also known under the name 'solenoid valve connector' Components that are manufactured in large quantities and be used.
- Connectors The area of application for these is correspondingly diverse Connectors. They will be used to connect Measuring devices, e.g. Pressure, level or Flow meters that have a corresponding connector have used.
- a disadvantage of such a connector is that the connector and Socket through a bayonet joint are connected. Such a closure offers none special protection against the ingress of dust or Humidity. Because the contact insert rotates in the Bayonet ring is arranged, there are additional gaps, through e.g. penetrating moisture throughout Can reach the interior of the plug.
- This connector is because of the attachment of the Connector on the connector by means of one through the first Screw through the housing section required, that the second housing section through which the cable passed through, perpendicular to the first Housing section runs.
- gauges are common used in measuring locations where only a limited space is available for the connector.
- One by the second housing section enlarged cross-sectional area of the The connector has a disadvantageous effect here.
- measuring instruments are often used in areas in which they have high security requirements, especially regarding the Protection against the ingress of dust and moisture, have to suffice.
- the housing at least one end on the connector-facing Molded side, in a arranged in the connector Open the locking pin.
- the housing made of a transparent, chemical highly resistant plastic, esp. from polyacrylic sulfone.
- the inside of the Housing molded at least one light guide, the first end adjoins the connector and its second end to a thin-walled section of the housing adjacent.
- An advantage of the invention is that the screw, with which the connector is to be attached to the plug in Is arranged inside the housing. Thereby exist none between the exterior and the interior of the housing additional column through which e.g. Dust or moisture can penetrate. The screw is after fastening of the connector on the plug for the user visible.
- Another advantage is that the housing is partially conical. This is the maximum Cross-sectional area of the connector practically the same Cross-sectional area of the connector.
- Another advantage is that the housing on the plug-facing side through the seal and the Connector coaxially encompassing ring as well as on the connector-facing Side through the sealing element dust and completed waterproof.
- Another advantage is that when attaching of the connector no twisting of the connector whose longitudinal axis relative to the connector is required. Such a twist could increase during assembly Difficulties cause, since the seal is conditional due to friction, thrown, deformed or could be moved, causing the tightness would be affected.
- Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of an embodiment a connector shown. He is with a plug with three elongated contact pins, one flat elongated protective contact pin and one in its To connect the center arranged threaded hole.
- the connector has a housing 1, which consists of a Cone 11 and one on the opposite of the connector, the smaller End of the cone 11 having a cross-sectional area molded hollow cylinder 12 there.
- a housing 1 which consists of a Cone 11 and one on the opposite of the connector, the smaller End of the cone 11 having a cross-sectional area molded hollow cylinder 12 there.
- the Hollow cylinder 12 At the free end of the Hollow cylinder 12 has an external thread 121 formed on it.
- the housing 1 faces the connection point of the cone 11 and hollow cylinder 12 a radially into the interior of the housing extending shoulder 13.
- a cylindrical sealing element 4 which from the Hollow cylinder 12 protrudes somewhat. Via the sealing element 4 is to put a nut 5 on the external thread 121 of the hollow cylinder 12 is to be screwed.
- the nut 5 and the sealing element 4 are in axial Direction penetrated by a four-core cable 3.
- the in this housing section is thus cavity completely filled by the sealing element 4.
- the nut 5 is the end of the Hollow cylinder 12 pressed radially inwards and thus sealingly pressed against the cable 3.
- a groove 14 for receiving a seal 6 is arranged on a plug-facing ring surface of the cone 11 .
- This is, for example, a molded seal or an O-ring an elastomer.
- the cone 11 also closes on the side facing the plug one molded on its outer ring surface, in from the axial direction extending ring 15. This includes the plug, not shown in Fig. 1 at the end coaxial. This ensures that water splashes on the outside drains the housing 1 and not at all up to the Seal 6 can get.
- the ring 15 has an edge 8 running around the inside thereof through which the seal 6 is fixed in the groove 14. This causes a relief when assembling the Connector.
- the housing 1 consists of a transparent, chemical highly resistant plastic, esp. from polyacrylic sulfone.
- a contact insert 2 is arranged in the housing 1.
- This is for example an injection molded one Plastic element, e.g. made of polyacrylic sulfone.
- the housing 1 a round cross-section. All mentioned features and However, properties apply equally to a housing, the one on the side facing the plug is a rectangular one or has a square cross section. With such a Housing are only the groove 14, the ring 15 and the Seal 6 to be replaced accordingly rectangular.
- FIG. 2 is a side view of the contact insert 2 shown. This comprises a cylinder 21 and one Bayonet ring 23.
- FIG. 3 is a plan view of the contact insert 2 of its side facing away from the connector is shown, the Bayonet ring 23 shows. This has four closure elements on, each of which is attached to the bayonet ring 23 molded, perpendicular to the axis of symmetry Y des Contact insert 2 running, acute-angled ring segment 24 and a subsequent, parallel to Axis of symmetry Y extending stop 25 exist. Each Ring segment 24 has an outside parallel to the axis of symmetry Y extending groove 26.
- At one of the stops 25 is on its ring segment facing away One end radially outwards extending shoulder 22 integrally formed.
- the housing 1 has a corresponding recess on the side facing the plug 16 for receiving the shoulder 22, cf. Fig. 1. This the same orientation of the Contact insert 2 in the housing 1 before.
- Fig. 4 The counterpart of the bayonet ring 23 in the housing 1 is in Fig. 4 shown and consists of four acute-angled, in molded on one level on the inner wall of the housing Ring segments 19. Adjacent to two each other opposite ring segments 19 of the four ring segments 19 is in each case on the side facing away from the connector Latch 17 extending in the axial direction in the housing 1 molded, as shown in Fig. 5.
- the contact insert 2 is inserted into the housing 1 and then to rotate so that the bayonet ring 23 with the Ring segments 24 on the ring segments 19 of the housing 1 rests and the stops 25 on the ring segments 19th issue.
- the two latches 17 snap into place two corresponding, opposite grooves 26 on.
- the contact insert 2 is thus fixed and no longer rotatable. He is only again using a tool solvable.
- the contact insert 2 also has four continuous, in 3, bores 29.
- appropriate tool e.g. a four-pronged fork, with which the contact insert 2 in the housing 1 rotated and can be removed from the housing 1. This offers protection from improper or unauthorized Treatment, especially swapping the connections.
- FIG. 6 shows a longitudinal section through the contact insert 2. It has a central, axial, continuous bore 27 Pick up a screw 7. This bore 27 has one middle area with a smaller diameter. At the first screw in the screw 7 cuts it Thread in this area and after screwing in is the thread of screw 7 on the connector-facing Side of this middle area. This is the screw 7 captively held in the contact insert 2.
- the bore 27 are four axial bores 28 with rectangular cross sections arranged on a circle.
- These bores 28 are sunk flat contact terminals.
- the wires of the cable 3 are with corresponding Provide tabs and on the connector-facing Inserted into the flat contact terminals.
- the connector is assembled by first pulling the wires of cable 3 can be connected to contact insert 2.
- the housing 1 is then over the contact insert 2 and to lead the cable 3 and the bayonet lock conclude.
- the connector is by means of the screw 7 on the plug, not shown in the figures fasten.
- the screw connection is done by the connector-facing Opening the housing 1 through.
- the housing 1 has three in this embodiment molded on the end on the side facing the plug, in Fig. 1 and pin 18 shown in Fig. 4. This snap into corresponding openings in the connector on.
- the pins 18 provide additional protection against rotating the connector about its longitudinal axis opposite the connector. Such a twist can Housings with a round cross-section e.g. then occur when the contact pins in the flat contact terminals are not tight are trapped.
- two light guides 9 be molded on.
- a first end of the light guide 9 is adjacent the plug.
- a second end of the light guide 9 borders to a section 91 of the housing 1, which is thin-walled is trained.
