Definitions
- the invention relates to a profile seal made of elastic material for sealing the glass panes in relation to the profiles of windows, doors, facades and the like, especially on the weather side with a profile body and molded Anchoring wedge made of conventional, elastic sealing material and an inner side arranged on the side opposite the anchoring wedge, sealing zones made of the same material in the form of a sealing lip as well an outer sealing zone in the form at a distance from the basic profile body a sealing bead made of elastomeric or thermoplastic material, the sealing lip is inclined pointing away from the sealing bead.
- the sealing bead and the sealing lip are spaced from each other on one Profile body arranged so that the profile body with the anchoring wedge serves practically as a carrier for the two sealing parts. Under the pressure of the glass pane the sealing lip is bent towards the center line of the anchoring wedge. The sealing lip has a slightly concave design, which increases the sealing force when Pressing is achieved.
- Both sealing elements, i.e. H. Guide the sealing bead and sealing lip their sealing effect completely unaffected by each other, d. H. they are through the pressed glass pane accordingly displaced or influenced, so the necessary To ensure sealing.
- a strand-shaped sealing profile is known from EP-PS 0 291 017, which is characterized by the fact that the sealing lip extends up to extends close to a support knob that determines the size of the glass gap and on the side a base web and a sealing bead adjacent to the foot of the sealing lip prismatic cross section. With this sealing profile the presence has been the support knob proved problematic. With such a support knob Only one concrete glass gap dimension can be bridged, so that a flexible adjustment different gap widths is not feasible.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a profile seal, which is processed all round, seals securely and evenly and also gaps of 4 mm and more can be bridged.
- the object is achieved according to the invention in that the interface between softer material of the sealing bead and harder material of the sealing lip extending into the foot zone of the sealing lip and thereby a sufficient foot zone for the sealing lip and leaving a sufficiently large foot for the anchoring wedge is formed, and that the sealing lip at the free end with one direction Glass pane or sealing bead equipped approximately at right angles protruding support part is.
- the foot zone of the anchoring wedge is in its original material hardness received in order to specify sufficient rigidity there and thus an exact positioning to ensure the overall profile seal.
- the special training of two sealing element sealing lip and sealing bead leads to the fact that under the pressure of the Glass pane the harder material in the foot zone of the sealing lip around a virtual The fulcrum is pressed into the softer material of the expanded one Bead zone into it, so that the sealing lip as a whole is very elastic Support with a relatively large - practically reversible - deformation path.
- the profile seal receives a high compressibility and thus the ability to Bridges gaps of up to 4 mm and more safely.
- the previous glazing technique can be maintained without any problems even if Due to the corresponding dimensions or calculation errors, there are large gap widths are.
- the fact that wider gap widths can be bridged also allows the Material thicknesses to largely adapt to the structural needs of frame construction work.
- the influencing of the sealing lip in turn when pressing the glass pane and their pressure on the sealing bead is particularly optimal when the sealing lip on free end with an approximately rectangular in the direction of the glass pane or sealing bead protruding support part is equipped.
- the support member can also be hammer-shaped be so as to influence the deformation path in a targeted manner if desired or is necessary.
- the sealing bead and sealing lip a V-shaped spread with respect to the center line of the anchoring wedge are designed to be representative. This is how we described earlier pressure on the sealing bead and sealing lip practically uniform exercised the glass pane so that both deform accordingly and the existing ones Bridge gap widths. It is also advantageous that the V-shape to a Even distribution of the sealing bead mass contributes, so that it also improves Thermal insulation can be achieved in a targeted manner.
- Another useful training is that in which the sealing lip, the profile body and the anchoring wedge from an approximately 60 ° shore and the extended one Sealing bead approximately 30 ° Shore material. With a corresponding Distribution of the material has been found to be, on the one hand, the sealing lip has the necessary hardness and of course the profile body and Anchoring wedge and that on the other hand so that a sealing bead is given, the Sealant evenly due to the deformation or movement of the sealing lip or the other parts of the profile seal is ensured. This deformation leads as already mentioned to fill the gap width but also to a uniform one Can be laid around corners and T-joints.
- a particularly advantageous adaptation of the sealing bead when pressing on the glass pane is to be expected if the sealing bead on the frame side gives it an overall shape of a cock's head giving recess.
- the sealing bead can then in deform their upper area or in the system area accordingly, so that the targeted contact with the glass pane is achieved.
- the profile seal can be used for improved thermal insulation be, as the profile body below the sealing lip a protruding far above Approach can have.
- This approach can be used to Completely cover the metal surface on the frame and thus improve thermal insulation to contribute. If this approach is not needed for any reason, you can he can also be severed.
- the anchoring wedge is formed in two parts, with a partial wedge at the end of the Approach and a second partial wedge on the opposite, carrying the sealing bead End of the profile body is molded.
- the sealing wedge at the opposite end is advantageous on and around the frame, with the subsequent deformation and Sealing lip and sealing bead also have an advantageous seal here by means of a corresponding one Adjust or deform occurs.
- the invention provides that the second part of the wedge to the bottom of the profile body graduated above and then leaving a hollow body under the sealing bead designed to reach up to their contact surface on the glass pane is. This shape ensures a corresponding fixing of the profile seal on Frame when the glass pane is pressed onto the sealing lip and sealing bead becomes.
- the color of the windows is particularly important in modern house buildings Design element.
- a negative influence here also with regard to the seal to avoid or a positive influence on the overall impression while maintaining
- the invention provides that the Sealing bead covering the system surface on the glass pane and up to the sealing lip back and possibly beyond that has a decorative coating. Is coated as explained for decorative reasons. Therefore, the coating can affect the restrict visible areas through the glass pane. Influencing the sealing bead or the entire profile seal through the decorative coating is not too do not fear especially if the decorative coating consists of a vulcanized, non-cellular and UV-resistant film.
- the film or covering is vulcanized to a thin skin (EPDM), whereby it can be colored or transparent. The important thing is the non-cellular and UV-resistant training.
- the invention is particularly characterized in that a profile seal is created, which can also reliably bridge large gap widths, so that they are used advantageously and regardless of the respective circumstances can.
- the soft material of the sealing bead is no longer on the pure bead zone limited, but extends with its interface to the vicinity of the foot or the Foot area of the sealing lip. You leave with a more or less large one Recess the base of the anchoring wedge in its original material hardness so to guarantee the necessary rigidity here.
- the harder material in the area of the sealing lip is then pressed into the softer one Material of the expanded bead zone into that on the one hand a correspondingly elastic Support is achieved and on the other hand an advantageous deformation of the softer Material for example the foam rubber of the sealing bead.
- the sealing bead itself or the profile seal can be especially in corner areas but also with T-joints u. ⁇ . Shocks are processed safely and without interruptions on Sealing bead comes.
- the profile seal 1 is used according to FIG. 1 to put the glass pane 2 together with the window block 3 between the glazing bead 6 and window frame profile 4 to be determined.
- the glass sealing profile 7 is used to seal the inside, the profile seal 1 for sealing the weather side.
- the profile seal 11 is through a groove 5 fixed, which is provided in the window frame profile 4.
- FIG. 1 is an exemplary embodiment.
- the profile seal 1 consists of the basic profile body 10 and the anchoring wedge 11 arranged at the bottom.
- the anchoring wedge 11 is formed corresponding to the groove 5 and ensures that the profile seal 1 is precisely fixed in its position.
- a sealing bead 12 and a sealing lip 13 are provided, both of which are made of 1 can be seen resting against the glass pane 2 to be sealed.
- the sealing bead 12 consists of a closed-cell, driven material based on elastomers or thermoplastic such. B. foam rubber and has a correspondingly large dimensions having bead body. While the sealing bead 12 from the corresponding which has about 30 ° shore, the remaining area of the profile seal is 1 both the basic profile body 10 and the anchoring wedge 11 and the sealing lip 13 made of a conventional elastic material, preferably with a Shore hardness 60.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrate that the interface 14 between the sealing bead 12 and sealing lip 13 or the other parts of the profile seal 1 extends so that the material made of foam rubber, for example, is brought up to the sealing lip 13 is. This is also shown in particular in FIG. 2. The course of the interface 14 chosen so that a sufficient foot zone 15 for the sealing lip 13 and a sufficiently large foot 16 remain for the anchoring wedge 11.
- the anchoring wedge has the necessary stability when inserted into the groove 15 is and through the foot zone 15 of the sealing lip 13, the possibility is given when Placing or inserting the glass pane 2, the sealing lip 13 around a virtual pivot point, in the softer material of the expanded bead zone or sealing bead 12 to pivot in, creating a very elastic support with a relative large - practically reversible - deformation path. This will especially the Favorable gap width bridging achieved with the previously known profile seals is not available.
- the profile seal 1 can be advantageous in the corner area be pressed without fear of wrinkling or the like. A clean one This ensures corner formation.
- FIGS. 5 and 6 illustrate that the sealing bead 12 and lip 13 a Representing V-shaped spreading with respect to the center line 17 of the anchoring wedge 11 are trained.
- the deformation described above during application the glass pane 2 is particularly easy to implement, with the recess 19 in the sealing bead 12 a particularly favorable contact of the glass pane 2 and the system surface 20 favors.
- the corresponding deformation or adaptation of the Profile seal 1 favored by the special design of the sealing lip 13, the over one protruding at right angles at the free end 21, in the direction of the glass pane 2 protruding support member 22 has.
- An embodiment is shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, in which this support part 22, 22 'protrudes on both sides over the sealing lip 13. The range of movement of the sealing lip 13 can thus be influenced in a targeted manner.
- the profile body 10 is particularly wide formed, this approach 24 on the profile body 10 as a sealing lip serves.
- This sealing lip is used as a cover and at the same time thermal insulation of the metal surfaces especially the aluminum surfaces used on the frame.
- the thermal insulation is always more important because this material is particularly thermally conductive.
- the over-stretch protection the vulcanized thread 35 simplifies in particular the laying of the Profile seal and prevents accidental tearing or severing.

- the opposite partial wedge 26 is formed so that with his steps 29, 30 he brings a secure concern to the wooden frame. Doing so this fixation and thus also sealing favors that when applying the glass pane 2 of the partial wedge in the direction not shown here Wooden frame shifts.
- the coating designated 31 over the softer material the sealing bead 12 favors this movement and additionally the hollow body 32 in front area or in the area of steps 29, 30.
- Fig. 4 shows a further peculiarity here in the form of the decorative coating 33.
- This decorative coating 33 extends over large parts of the sealing bead 12 to the edge of the sealing lip 13 and possibly also beyond.
- This decorative coating 33 is used especially for decorative reasons, which is why it is on the areas visible through the glass pane 2 remain limited.
