Definitions

  • the invention relates to a walking aid according to the preamble of Main claim.
  • walking aids of the type described have several functions be fulfilled.
  • the operator must be sure can rest on the walking aid. This must be safe from tipping over regardless of the position of the steerable wheels.
  • the walking aid must be designed so that the operator even when braking and / or steering from the Balance comes.
  • the walking aid must be especially for inexperienced Operators must be sufficiently safe to operate so that even in the event of sudden difficulties, be it in terms of the condition of the ground or in the event of sudden weakness the operator both a support as well safe braking of the walking aid is guaranteed.
  • the invention has for its object a walking aid to create the type mentioned above, which with a simple structure and inexpensive to manufacture is safe to use and guaranteed safe braking functions in particular.
  • the object is characterized by the features of the main claim solved.
  • the walking aid according to the invention is characterized by a number significant benefits.
  • Design of the handle and the associated brake lever is ensures that the operator has a free and unimpeded grip can take. This was the case with the state of the art Known technology, having a pipe bend closed at the rear Handles are not always guaranteed with these designs in particular the problem arose that the fast Access to the brake lever was blocked many times.
  • an outer side frame which is shaped in the form of a plane Elements is formed, at its lower free end a wheel and at its upper, rear-facing end the Handle is attached to the inside of the outer side frame an inner frame carrying the front wheels is arranged and that the brake lever is free under the handle stored rearward and located on the rear wheels Brakes are assigned.
  • the rear wheels Due to the design of the frame provided according to the invention the rear wheels have a larger track width than the front wheels. This construction simplifies cornering and improves the ability to steer the entire walking aid, however, indicates due to the four wheels, a high degree of stability on.
  • the upper area of the outer side frame is height adjustable is.
  • the height adjustment is therefore on the front the walking aid arranged. This makes it easily accessible on the other hand, it ensures that the operator not inadvertently the height adjustment loosens or gets stuck.
  • the outer side frame thus forms, together with the preferably telescopic trained height adjustment device one in itself closed unit.
  • the inner frame two parallel to each other, each arranged in one plane Includes inner beams, which are braced together.
  • the Inner beams are also preferably only in one Plane deformed, its inner layer - in relation to the outer Side frame - leads to the reduced track width of the steerable front wheels.
  • the strut can be more appropriate Way, it is also possible to use some of the bracing to use for storing a seat.
  • the seat can be made of wire mesh or a plastic plate, it can be cheap be when the seat is tight with the inner tubular frame connected is.
  • the brake lever is loop-like is trained and for better usability with widened Grip surfaces is provided.
  • the loop-like training allows the operator to put the brake lever in different grip positions each firm and reliable to grab. This prevents the operator slips off the brake lever. You can do this rather reach through with your hand and especially with support the ball of the hand or all fingers to brake use.
  • a side Part of the brake lever to the outside with a widened Protection area is provided.
  • This protection area extends to the extent that the operator can if they accidentally hit the side of a wall or something similar Obstacle drives, protected with regard to their hands is.
  • the hands do not protrude laterally, rather the widened protection area of the brake lever forms one Stop with which the walking aid is attached to a wall etc. supports.
  • the brake is a double-function brake trained, it serves as a service brake and on the other hand as a parking brake. It works in both cases Brake on the rear wheels.
  • This configuration is technically particularly easy to implement and is characterized by a high degree of operational safety. It can be particularly advantageous if the brake is applied opposite pivoting of the brake lever are operated can. Depressing the brake lever acts on the Parking brake (parking brake) while pulling the brake lever Service brake function activated. If the operator for example, in an emergency, with their full Support force swivel the brake lever down, see above is an effective application of the parking brake caused, the walking aid can not be moved and comes to a complete standstill.
  • a securing bracket is used to limit the seating surface provided which is the front area the seat - limited in relation to the direction of travel -
  • the safety bracket on its free End each mounted on a support member of the brake lever is.
  • the carrier element can over the free end of the handle tube of the outer side frame are pushed and forms with the brake handle a self-contained unit.
  • the wheels are preferably with solid rubber tires provided, which is characterized by a special smoothness award.
  • the invention has Walking aid two front wheels 1, 2 and two rear wheels 7, 8 on.
  • the front wheels 1, 2 are each one vertical axis steerable, while the axes of rotation of the rear wheels 7, 8 are non-steerable.
  • the wheel suspension can be dispensed with as this is known from the prior art.
  • FIG. 2 shows in detail the structure of the invention provided brake 9, this includes a lever-like to an axis 19 pivotable brake element 18, the free Each ends as a service brake or parking brake are.
  • the brake element 18 is actuated via a cable 20, not shown in detail (see Fig. 1), via brake levers 5, 6, which are each pivotable on Carrier element 17 are mounted.
  • the shape of the brake levers 5, 6 is subsequently used in connection with FIGS. 3 to 7 explained.
  • the two outer side frame which are arranged parallel to each other are deformed in one plane and one have upper, almost U-shaped area.
  • This serves with its free, protruding end for attaching handles 3, 4 and for mounting the support elements 17 of the Brake levers 5, 6.
  • the base area i.e. the upper area of the outer side frame 10 adjustable in height, this upper area is in FIGS. 1 and 2 with the reference symbol 13 marked.
  • the height adjustment can be done by a telescopic training can be achieved, which means a clamping screw 22 can be actuated.
  • An inner frame is parallel to the outer side frame 10 12 arranged, which relative to a pivot axis 21 the outer side frame 10 is pivotable.
  • the two inner frames 12 are by horizontal struts 23 connected with each other. On the one hand, these struts serve Stabilization of the frame, on the other hand, the upper strut 23 usable as a support for a seat 14.
  • a safety bracket 15 is provided, which with its two free ends anchored to the carrier elements 17 is and the seat 14 limited to the front and thus serves as a backrest.
  • FIG. 3 to 7 show in different views each the design of the brake lever according to the invention 5 (or 6) and the associated carrier element 17.
  • Das Carrier element 17 has a tubular region 24, in which the free end of the side frame 10 insertable and can be fixed by means of fastenings 25 (screws).
  • a Appendix 27 is used for lateral support.
  • a nipple 26 is also attached to the carrier element 17, in which the cable 20 is hooked.
  • the brake lever 5, 6 can be pivoted on the carrier element stored, this is, as can be seen from the figures in Formed a closed loop, which widens is designed.
  • the lower surface of the brake lever 5, 6 is provided with an enlarged protective area 16, which, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 6, via the brake lever 5, 6 protrudes and in this way the hand protects an operator if the walking aid against a wall is driven.
  • the brake lever 5, 6 is in Figs. 3 to 7 each in the shown neutral position, it can be both up and down can also be pivoted downwards.
  • the result is Advantage that when operating the brake on the hand Operator a lower surface pressure occurs because the contact force, which is applied by hand a larger area is distributed. Skin injuries, Redness, pressure marks etc. can thus be avoided.
  • the shape of the brake lever described increases continue the marksmanship, so that even in strictly Safe brake application can.
