Tuiles de telle sorte sont souvent commercialisées sous le nom tuile romane ayant fait l'objet des dépôts de modèle, à titre d'exemple N° 109 818 du 06.04.1973.Tiles of this kind are often marketed under the name tile Romanesque object of the model deposits, to title of example N ° 109 818 of 06.04.1973.
At the present time, interlocking or sliding tiles designed to allow to obtain a variable transverse column facilitating notably the laying of these tiles because they allow play on the overlap widths and adapt these according to the length of the roof. As example, the transverse clearance allowed between two tiles is currently around four centimeters.
However, this new type of tiles requires to use specific sub-ridge accessories also providing transverse overlap variable, which are added to the range of elements necessary for the realization of roofs, and which also require additional accessories for the realization of the left and right banks of these roofs.
It should also be noted that whatever either the type of tiles used, classic or with gauge transverse variable, any roof must have ventilation tiles, say roof tiles which therefore constitute an additional accessory necessary for the realization of this roof.
The present invention aims essential to reduce the number of accessories needed to the realization of a roof and aims to provide, to this effect, a sub-ridge tile with transverse column variable, on the one hand, constituting not an accessory but a real tile replacing the sub-roof tiles current integrating in one piece a shutter, and on the other hand ensuring a ventilation function.
Another object of the invention is to provide a roof tile allowing easy installation roof tiles.
- in the extension of the cover part, a so-called cover wall having a flat upper face for a ridge tile, substantially coplanar with the upper generatrix of said cover part,
- in the extension of the sewer part, a so-called sewer wall extending in elevation with respect to said sewer part and comprising a lower face having at least a portion of planar surface of support on structural elements , such as battens,
- said cover and sewer walls having respectively lower and upper conjugate faces adapted to allow the cover wall of a sub-roof tile to slide transversely on the upper face of the sewer wall of a sub-roof tile adjacent ridge, so as to obtain a covering of said sewer wall over an adjustable portion of its width,
- said sewer wall comprising, near its longitudinal edge opposite the cover wall, a longitudinal groove formed in its upper face, for collecting water,
- and said cover and sewer walls comprising, along their transverse upper edge, a sealing rim projecting from the upper faces of said walls, arranged so as to obtain a front juxtaposition of the portion of the rim delimiting the wall of cover and that delimiting the sewer wall, in the covering position of two adjacent sub-ridge tiles.
This sub-ridge tile therefore has a part of shutter designed to allow sliding transverse of the cover wall of the tiling shutter on the sewer wall of the shutter of a tile of the same rank, and thus consists of an overlapping roof tile variable transverse to obtain a lateral column variable.
In addition, the adjustment range of the transverse overlap extends between a minimum value cover designed to obtain a tight assembly between two neighboring tiles, and a maximum value for which the cover wall of the shutter of a tile completely covers the sewer wall of the shutter with a tile neighbor. However, this adjustment range is, taking into account the width of the sewer part and therefore of the sewer wall of the shutter, greater than the tile adjustment range at current variable transverse gauge which is of the order of four centimeters.
However, the sub-roof tiles cannot be used only in the tile setting range current, the cover wall of the shutter of these tiles sub-ridge covers only a portion of the width of the sewer wall of neighboring tiles, even in maximum overlap position.
Therefore, whatever the position of overlap, a ventilation zone is obtained by the surface portion of the sewer walls of the closoir des tiles not covered by the cover wall of the shutter adjacent tiles. It should also be noted that this ventilation zone located at the level of the roof, it provides excellent circulation air and an optimal chimney effect because the outlet air is provided at this ridge.
In practice, the presence of these areas ventilation to the right of the roof reduces notably the number of cat flap tiles necessary for the roof ventilation, and even remove these last for short creeper lengths.
It should also be noted that the right to this ventilation area and the overlap portion sealing is ensured by the presence of the rim upper seal. The longitudinal seal is as for it ensured by the presence of the throat longitudinal which allows to collect and channel the water.
These provisions make it possible to obtain a variable roof tile with variable transverse column further comprising a ventilation zone, which meets the standards of tightness imposed by the "Unified Technical Documents".
In addition, the cover wall of the closure has a flat upper face for support ridge tile, able to present, by design of the tile, a significant length which makes laying easy ridge tiles and ensures good stability of these past.
The sewer wall of the shutter comprises, as to it, a lower face forming a bearing face adapted to rest on structural elements of higher than those used with roof tiles classics, given the heightening of this wall with respect to the sewer part. In the practical and as described in detail below, these structural elements consist of three battens, as currently used, superimposed.
- the inclined section of the dihedral forming the cover wall having a notch of conjugate shape of the cover part, in line with the latter,
- the inclined and support sides of the two dihedral forming the cover and sewer walls being separated by a longitudinal shoulder adapted so that the cover wall can come into transverse overlap of the sewer wall.
In addition, the sealing rim has advantageously an offset at a distance from the edge longitudinal of the support section of the cover wall of the shutter opposite the sewer wall of said shutter, adapted so that said cover wall can come in transverse covering of the sewer wall without generating discontinuity of said sealing rim.
In addition, the sewer wall of the closoir preferably comprises an upper face having spaced longitudinal grooves distributed between the cover wall of said shutter and collection groove of water.
Such grooves have the function of create pressure relief voids and flow channels of water.
- a longitudinal edge at the right of its lateral edge opposite the cover part,
- at least one longitudinal rib delimiting with the longitudinal edge a water flow channel in the extension of the groove of the sewer wall of the shutter, and adapted to form a transverse stop for the part of cover of a same row, in the minimum transverse overlap position of said tile.

- a position of maximum transverse overlap shown in FIG. 3,
- a minimum transverse overlapping position shown in FIG. 4 in which the upper 4 and lower 5 sections of the
cover part 1 are in lateral abutment respectively against the 10 and 11 of theribs sewer part 2 of the neighboring tile.
