Definitions
- the invention relates to a headlight for vehicles according to the Genus of claim 1.
- Such a headlamp is known from CH-A-487 366.
- This Headlights are used to selectively generate a low beam and a high beam.
- the headlamp has a light source, one Reflector and a shielding device assigned to the light source, through which part of the light emitted by the light source is shielded and an upper Patoscuro limit from which Headlight emerging low beam is generated.
- the Shielding device points on both sides of the optical axis one running along the optical axis of the reflector opaque web, the webs over each other extend part of the circumference of the light source. Between There is an opening through the upper edges of the webs through which light emitted by the light source can pass through an upper region of the reflector to form the Low beam is reflected.
- the Jroscuro limit of the Low beam is generated by the upper edges of the webs.
- the shielding device has one in addition to the webs opaque cap located below the light source, which extends over part of the circumference of the light source. If the headlight is used to generate the low beam, so the cap is in a position in which its upper The edges of the caps run at the level of the webs, but the upper edges do not protrude. It is therefore between the cap and the webs there are no openings through which light could pass. Therefore, only the low beam comes out of the headlight with the Light-dark border off.
- the cap is moved into a position in whose upper cap edges are arranged below the webs and thus there are openings between the cap and the webs are through which light can pass, that from a lower one Area of the reflector is reflected and one from the headlight emerging, with a distance above the Patoscuro limit of Low-beam light bundle forms an additional light beam.
- the headlights are for the generation of Low beam between the cap and the webs no openings available, otherwise it will dazzle oncoming traffic would what is not allowed. Areas of the traffic situation the vehicle, which is at a distance above the light / dark limit of the Low beam are arranged, but are not or insufficiently lit, so that the driver there objects or obstacles, such as high attached traffic signs, not or difficult to see.
- a headlight has a light source, a reflector and one of the light source associated shielding device through which part of the of the Light source emitted light is shielded and an upper one Light-dark boundary of the emerging from the headlight Low beam is generated.
- the shielding device has one on each side of the optical axis along the optical axis On the axis of the reflector extending opaque web, wherein the webs each extend over part of the circumference of the Extend light source. Between the top edges of the webs is there is an opening through which from the light source emitted light can pass through from an upper area of the reflector is reflected to form the low beam.
- the light-dark boundary of the low beam is determined by the upper one Edges of the webs created. Between the bottom edges of the webs is also an opening through which the light source emitted light can pass through a lower one Reflected area of the reflector as an additional light beam that is at a distance above the Corposcuro limit Low beam runs.
- this headlight can only be used to generate the high beam be used because the additional light beam dazzles the Oncoming traffic caused.
- the headlight according to the invention with the features according to claim 1 has the advantage that the additional light beam with low beam, an area in front of the vehicle at a distance above the light-dark boundary of the low beam and thus that there traffic situation is sufficiently illuminated without oncoming traffic is dazzled.
- FIG. 1 shows a headlight for vehicles with a screening device in a vertical longitudinal section
- Figure 2 shows the headlight in a cross section along line II-II in Figure 1 with the shielding device according to a first Embodiment
- Figure 3 the light source and Shielding device of Figure 2 in a side view Arrow III in Figure 2
- Figure 4 the headlight in one Cross section with the shielding device according to a second Embodiment
- Figure 5 and the light source Shielding device of Figure 4 in a side view Arrow V in Figure 4
- Figure 6 one in front of the headlight arranged measuring screen, which by the reflector at the Shielding device according to the first embodiment reflected light bundle is illuminated
- Figure 7 the measuring screen when illuminated by the reflected by the reflector and light beam and figure passing through a cover plate 8 the measuring screen when illuminated by the reflector the shielding device according to the second embodiment reflected light beam.
- a headlight for vehicles shown in FIG. 1 has a reflector 10 with an optical axis 11, the Reflector 10 has an upper area 12 and a lower area 13 has.
- the reflector 10 has in its apex area an opening 14 into which a light source 15 is inserted.
- the light source 15 can be an incandescent lamp or a Gas discharge lamp and can be in a lamp holder 16 be held, which in turn is attached to the reflector 10.
- the Light source 15 protrudes with its glass bulb 18 in which Luminous body 20 is arranged, either a filament or one that forms during operation of the light source 15 Arc is in the reflector 10.
- the shape of the The reflector 10 is determined such that the light source 15 emitted light is reflected in a certain way.
- the Cover 24 In the light exit direction 22 after the reflector 10 is one Translucent cover plate 24 arranged through which Light exit opening of the headlight is covered.
- the Cover 24 can be smooth, so that the Reflector 10 reflected light when passing through the Cover plate 24 is not affected.
- the Cover 24 also optical elements 25 in the form of lenses and / or have prisms through which the reflector 10 reflected light is influenced when passing through, that is is is distracted and / or scattered.
- a shielding device 26 is assigned to the light source 15, through which a part of the luminous body 20 of the light source 15 emitted light is shielded so that it does not affect the Reflector 10 can hit.
- the shielding device 26 is shown in FIGS Figures 2 and 3 according to a first embodiment shown.
- the shielding device 26 faces laterally next to the glass bulb 18 of the light source 15 on both sides of the optical axis 11 each one along the optical Axis 11 extending web 28 and 29.
- the webs are 28, 29 opaque and in the direction of the optical axis 11 considered are arranged in the region of the luminous element 20.
- the Web 28,29 are designed as a separate component and outside the glass bulb 18 of the light source 15.
- the bridges 28, 29 can be attached to the lamp holder 16 and can also be integrally formed with the lamp holder 16. alternative the webs 28, 29 can also be attached to the reflector 10, for example in the apex area or also in the Light exit direction 22 pointing front edge.
- the webs 28, 29 each extend over part of the Circumference of the glass bulb 18 of the light source 15 and each have an upper edge 31 or 32 and a lower edge 33 or 34 on. Between the upper edges 31 and 32 of the webs 28, 29 an opening 36 remains free, through which the filament 20 emitted light can pass through from the top 12 of the reflector 10 is reflected and from the headlight emerges and forms a low beam.
- the Low beam has an upper light-dark limit that is generated by the upper edges 31, 32 of the webs 28, 29. For example, it is seen in the direction of light exit 22 left web 28 with its upper edge 31 approximately at the level of arranged optical axis 11 and the right web 29 is with its upper edge 32 below the optical axis 11 arranged.
- the upper edge 32 of the right web 29 is preferably based on an optical axis 11 placed horizontal line 37 at an angle ⁇ of about 15 ° arranged lower.
- Below the Glass bulb 18 of the light source 15 is another part of the Shielding device 26 an opaque cap 40 arranged, which partially covers the opening 38.
- the cap 40 extends over part of the circumference of the opening 38 and has the lower edges 33 and 34 of the webs 28, 29 adjacent upper edges 42 and 43. Between the top edges 42 and 43 the cap 40 and the lower edges 33 and 34 of the webs 28, 29 a gap-like opening 45 and 46 remains through which light emitted by the luminous element 20 can pass through is reflected from the lower region 13 of the reflector 10 and forms an additional light beam.
- the width of the openings 45 and 46 is along its length along the optical Axis 11 approximately constant.
- the width of the webs 28, 29, that is whose extension over the circumference of the glass bulb 18 Light source 15 is also over its longitudinal extent approximately constant along the optical axis 11.
