Definitions

  • Such a device is used in particular when it is necessary to absorb movements due to the expansion of structures located in areas long welded rails, particularly well suited in the case of very high speed railways, it being understood that use at other locations or on other types of railways may also be considered.
  • each needle and the counter-needle associates are linked to the sleepers via a cradle rigid, several meters in length parallel to the center line of the track, so as to rigidly connect the crosspieces of the part of the device in which the counter-needles rest on the bevels of the needles, as well as a few crosspieces from each of the neighboring parts.
  • a cradle rigid several meters in length parallel to the center line of the track, so as to rigidly connect the crosspieces of the part of the device in which the counter-needles rest on the bevels of the needles, as well as a few crosspieces from each of the neighboring parts.
  • This known assembly by means of rigid cradles, is incompatible with a change in gradient of the track or with a curve positioning. It creates at the level of the dilation apparatus a heterogeneity of track behavior in comparison with the adjacent sections thereof, causing difficulties in maintaining in the geometry of the framing track both in leveling and in dressage. In in addition, it complicates maintenance operations such as ballast interventions, including tamping, and changes needle or counter-needle in case of damage.
  • each of the crosspieces includes respectively fixed or sliding mounting means, parallel to or diverging from the axis of the track, for both needles or counter-needles, independent of the means of respectively fixed or sliding mounting, parallel to the track axis or deviating from it, of the two needles or counter-needles on the other sleepers, and that localized means are provided mutual bracing of the sleepers, for example in the form of a lierne located in the axis of the track and mutually connecting the sleepers which one chooses preferably of monobloc type, realized in a material chosen from a group comprising prestressed reinforced concrete and wood.
  • this assembly unlike the above assembly, is compatible with a change of slope or positioning in a curve, so that by "axis" of the railway a medium line not only straight, but also curved in the context of this description.
  • Mutual independence of sleepers preserved by a link independent of each of them with needles or counter-needles associated, moreover provides a homogeneity of behavior of the track at device level with the adjacent track sections, and authorizes ballasting and tamping under the same conditions as in running track. This notably results in the possibility of obtaining and maintain a leveling and leveling compatible with the requirements very high speed railways, although the applications of the apparatus according to the invention is not limited to such routes.
  • a apparatus produced in accordance with the present invention further provided the advantage of allowing changes to be made without difficulty needle or counter-needle, at least temporarily, to restore the passage of convoys quickly after damage, while such intervention is long and complicated in the case of known expansion, mounted on rigid cradles.
  • mounting means have, respectively for each needle or counter-needle, on each cross member, a rigid plate elastically mounted on the cross member and means respectively for securing the needle with the plate or guiding the needle against sliding on the plate, parallel to or diverging from the axis of the track.
  • the mounting means comprise, for each platinum, an elastic sole interposed between a lower face support of the plate on the cross member and an upper face of the cross member and means for elastic wedging of the plate on the cross member throughout direction parallel to the upper face thereof and elastic retaining of the plate in the direction of a distance from the face top of the crosspiece.
  • the present invention offers turntables particularly well suited to fulfill their role either fixed mounting of a needle and sliding mounting of the counter-needle associated, in the parts of the device where these are mutually juxtaposed, either by sliding assembly of the counter-needle alone, in the part of the device in which it extends the needle associated.
  • Such a design ensures mutual solidarity effective between the needle and the stage, and provides downward support to the counter-needle, allowing it to slide in all directions parallel to the support area.
  • the assembly of the needle and the counter-needle associated, in the area of the bevel of the needle at least, a version more complete of this plate, characterized in that it comprises in addition, on the side of the support and sliding zone intended to be turned towards outside the track, a sliding support secured to the plate, projecting from said upper face and having the side intended for be turned inward from the way of the support means for the soul of the counter needle towards the outside of the track and guide the needle against sliding between positions in which his soul rests against these support means towards the outside of the track.
  • this guidance is further improved against the needle, preferably, providing that the plate comprises in addition, between the respective means for supporting the stop and the support for sliding, a stop integral with the plate and having the side intended for be facing outward from the way of the support means for the soul of the counter needle towards the inside of the track and guide the needle against sliding between positions in which his soul rests against these support means towards the inside of the track.
  • the guiding of the needle is thus ensured in the best conditions, to preserve the continuity of the bearing whatever the condition of expansion of the track section to which the counter-needle is connected, by relative to the section of track to which the needle is connected, which makes the use of the device according to the invention fully compatible with very high speeds, where very high speeds are understood to mean speeds can exceed 500 km / h.
  • a plate according to the invention can be produced in a particularly simple and economical way, from a piece of individualized or standardized foundry, defining said faces lower and upper, with support area down and sliding for the counter-needle shoe, and thus constituting a base plate to which another foundry piece is attached in solidarity as for it standardized constituting the stop for the needle in the version simple aforementioned plate, or two pieces of foundry standardized constituting this stop as well as the sliding support for the counter-needle in the more complete version, in positions relative adapted to the concerned zone of the dilation apparatus, and the case appropriate the stop which can advantageously be made integral with the plate via the stop support means, through the core needle; a single piece, bolted to the stopper through holes suitably arranged in the core of the needle, can then be used both stop and means for securing the needle with the stop.
  • Such a plate can advantageously be produced from same parts as the aforementioned plate, intended for mounting a needle and an associated counter-needle, namely the aforementioned foundry part, defining the lower face, the upper face and the support and slip for the pad of the needle against this upper face, and thus constituting a base plate, as well as the foundry parts constituting the stop and the sliding support, being of course that then, we use the stop without securing it to the core of the needle, that is to say simply as a means to define with the support of sliding a guide corridor of the core of the counter-needle parallel to the center line of the track.
  • the plates intended for mounting the needle and / or counter-needle on the sleepers, to make an expansion device can thus be made from a limited number of standardized parts, made in foundry and assembled by devices standardized by example of bolting, so that, on the one hand, their manufacturing cost and storage is low and that, on the other hand, a possible damage occurred on one of the plates can be easily repaired, by change of the component concerned, generally without being necessary to disassemble for this purpose the plate relative to the cross member and in all cases without the need to intervene on others plates which continue to perform their function and therefore allow passage of convoys.
  • Figure 1 where we have designated by 1 an expansion device according to the invention, interposed between two sections 2, 3 of current track, the second of which rests on a structure not represented likely, by dilation, to cause displacements relative of the section 3 to the translation along a determined axis 4 of the track, relative to the section 2.
  • the axis 4 is rectilinear in the example illustrated, but one of the advantages of the expansion device 1 according to the invention lies in the possibility of mounting it in a curve, in which case we consider as axis 4 the mean, curved line of the track.
  • the device 1 ensures rolling continuity between a rail 5 of the section 2 and a rail 6 of section 3, via a needle 7 and against a needle 8, and between the other rail 9 of the section 2 and the other rail 10 section 3, via a needle 11 and a counter-needle 12.
  • each needle 7, 11 has a first end 13, 14 connected integrally, for example by welding, to the rail respectively corresponding 5, 9 of section 2, as well as each counter needle 8, 12 has a first end 15, 16 connected integrally, for example by welding, to the rail respectively corresponding 6, 10 of section 3.
  • each needle 7, 11 and the respective corresponding needle 8, 12 extend one towards each other, parallel to axis 4, to a central part 17 of device 1 in which each of them has a second respective end 18, 19, 20, 21 and in which the two needles 7, 11 maintain their parallelism with respect to axis 4 and their parallelism mutual, to their second end 18, 19, while the counter needles 8, 12 gradually curve outwards 40, 41 of the track, to their second end 20, 21, thus deviating mutually by pressing, towards the inside 39 of the track, on a bevel 22, 23 that the respective corresponding needle 7, 11 present in the part control unit 17 of device 1, outside 40, 41 of the track, and which corresponds to a progressive refinement to the second end 18, 19 of this needle.
  • the two needles 7, 11 are mounted like rails 5 and 9 of section 2 on sleepers 24 of all known type, for example of the bi-block type as illustrated, according to a so-called "elastic" installation method, using known type saddles, 25, 26, 27, 28 respectively.
  • Hands 7 and 11 are thus mounted practically united, if we disregard the elasticity of the laying, on seven sleepers 24, between their first end 13, 14 and the part control unit 17 of device 1, in the example illustrated, but this number does not is of course only a non-limiting example.
  • the counter-needles 8, 12 are mounted like the rails 6, 10 of the section 3 on crosspieces 29 of a chosen type freely, for example of the bi-block type, by means of saddles 30, 31, 32, 33 of known type, ensuring a so-called "elastic" pose.
  • the unreferenced part of the device 1 located between the part central 17 and the first ends 13, 14 of needles 7 and 11 and the also unreferenced part of this device directly adjacent at the first ends 15, 16 of the counter needles 8, 12 and extending up to a zone 96, 97 of these intermediate between their first end 15, 16 and the central part 17 of the device 1, where the second ends 19, 20 of needles 7, 11, can be considered as an integral part of the sections of running track 2, 3, respectively.
  • the counter needles 8, 12 are mounted differently since they are carried by crosspieces 34 of rigid type, i.e.
  • a monobloc type chosen from a group comprising wooden sleepers and reinforced concrete sleepers prestressed, and this by means of individual saddles 35, 36 of a known type, ensuring a so-called “sliding" pose, that is to say allowing a sliding of the counter-needles 8 and 12 parallel to the axis 4 by relative to each of the crosspieces 34 while maintaining the spacing mutual of these counter-needles 8 and 12 at the standard gauge of the track, such that it is measured perpendicular to the axis 4 between the rails 5 and 9, or between rails 6 and 10, or between needles 7 and 11.
  • This assembly relates to part 37 of the device directly adjacent to the central part 17 thereof, on the side of the section 3 placed on the engineering structure whose apparatus 1 is intended to absorb expansions, which are reflected in particular by a sliding of the needle against 8, 12 on the saddles 35, 36 relative to the corresponding crosspieces 34.
  • the hands 7, 11 and counter-needles 8, 12 are mounted according to a type of installation called "semi-elastic" on the sleepers 38 also chosen of rigid type, that is to say of monobloc type and for example of wood or reinforced concrete, respectively in a fixed manner if we disregard the semi-elastic character above installation, and slidingly.
  • Sleepers 38 of the central part 17 are eleven in the example illustrated, but this number is also only a non-limiting example and others numbers can be chosen without leaving the framework of the present invention.
  • the cross members 34 and 38 are mutually braced by a straight line 93 which prevents from approaching or moving away from each other, along axis 4, during the movements that the expansions of the work impose on the needles 8, 12 with respect to needles 7, 11.
  • Lierne 93 for example consisting of a rigid metal profile, is mounted and fixed on the sleepers 34 and 38 in a manner known per se in the case of other switches and crossings, using lag bolts provided at a rate of two per cross 34 or 38 and the axes of which have simply been indicated in FIG.
  • the needles 7, 11 and the counter needles 8, 12 are mounted on the crosspieces 38 by means of mounting not ensuring in themselves no bridging between them, namely turntables mounting 42, 43 mutually independent from one cross member 38 to another, as will emerge more clearly from the examination of FIG. 2 where we have illustrated the mounting the needle 7 and the counter-needle 8 on the crosspieces 38, in the whole of the central part 17, by the mounting plates 42, being understood that the plates 43 for mounting the needle 11 and the counter-needle 12 on each crosspiece 38 are similar.
  • the plates 43 for mounting the needle 11 and / or the counter-needle 12 on a cross-member 38 determined are symmetrical of the plates 42 for mounting the needle 7 and / or the counter-needle 8 on the same crosspiece 38, relative to a plane including the axis 4 of the track or tangent to this axis 4 if it is a track in curve, and perpendicular to the general direction, itself perpendicular to the axis 4, of the crosspiece 38 in question; such a plan and a such general direction were not represented, but such symmetry is known to a person skilled in the art, about the current track or others switches and crossings.
  • FIG. 2 illustrates this assembly for the whole of the central part 17 of the apparatus 1, according to a preferred embodiment of the mounting plates 42, and will easily deduce the assembly of the needle 11 and the counter-needle 12 on the same sleepers, as well as a preferred embodiment of the plates mounting 43.
