Definitions
- the invention relates to a device of the preamble of claim 1 corresponding type and a suitable nozzle plate.
- Such devices are mainly used for Applying glue or the like to flat gluing material such as blanks or sheets made of cardboard, paper, Textile, fleece and the like according to a predetermined Pattern used.
- the expression "fluid application medium like Glue or the like” does not only include others Adhesives such as adhesives or hot melt adhesives, but also means that the invention applies to any Order media that extends from the consistency and the physical behavior forth for application with the device have suitable properties.
- order media therefore come other fluids besides the glue Media, especially viscous media such as lubricants and Varnishes as well as gases, if applicable this in the area of impact on the substrate, for example to cause chemical reactions.
- the substrate is generally fixed Device to be passed in a flat path. It but in principle the substrate can also be fixed and the Application device are moved. Also order systems with combined movement of application device and Substrate are not excluded.
- slit nozzles become like glue used as they are known from EP 224 855 A2.
- Such slot nozzles serve their purpose as long as the Relative speed of the substrate compared to the application device is not too high.
- the starting point of the invention was, however, the problem of creating strip-like glue tracks with an application quantity of 8 to 10 g / m 2 within the track at speeds of over 200 up to over 600 m / min. Such speeds occur in the cigarette industry when it comes to applying the glue traces for the longitudinal seam of the cigarette and for sticking the filter and sticking the filter cover paper around the mouthpiece.
- the lack of precision in the width of the glue track Slot nozzles is related to the fact that the required low order quantities and very high conveying speeds the substrate speed already is noticeably higher than the exit speed of the Glue from the nozzle.
- the glue strand becomes after the exit stretched in the longitudinal direction from the nozzle and can because of the constant volume is no different than in any case constrict in the width direction. This constriction is from the current conveying speed of the application medium and the conveying speed of the substrate dependent and therefore fluctuates depending on the operating conditions.
- a generic application device goes from the DE-U-92 18 012. This known application device is for dyeing carpets and the like Use cases determined, with significantly lower lead speeds of the substrate, but much larger The quantities to be dealt with are the cross sections the outlet openings of an appropriate size require.
- the invention has for its object a generic Application device for the in question To create order media, with whose help even at very large relative speeds of the substrate to the application device a striped track with as much as possible exactly maintainable width and across the width of the track uniform occupancy can be generated.
- Rows of outlets exist that way are dimensioned and arranged so that the strands of the application medium from the rear in the conveying direction Row of outlets just between those from the neighboring outlet openings of the respective front row emerging strands fit and touch at the edges, so that they blend into one another through cohesion and an even layer in the width direction forms.
- the necking effect occurs at the outermost outlet openings on the track and leads there to a lateral constriction of a few percent the width of the outlet opening there.
- the width error negligible. The reason for this is the division of the overall order on a variety of very small outlet openings, the constriction in the Interior of the overall breadth through the cohesion of the neighboring edges of each strand is dubbed.
- the outlet openings are at least one in the floor Distributor chamber attached to the fluid application medium can be supplied and has a flow cross-section, the total cross section of all in the distribution chamber outlet openings significantly exceeds what the Uniformity of the distribution of the application medium on the promotes individual outlet openings.
- the diameter of the outlet openings is 0.2 up to 1.0 mm.
- outlet openings in a nozzle plate attachable to an applicator head are when the order pattern changes can be unscrewed from the application head without the application head itself must be dismantled (claim 2).
- the invention is implemented in another Aspect also in such a nozzle plate, which according to claim 3 is designed.
- the light Distance between the outlet openings in the conveying direction located row the diameter of the outlet openings of the row following in the conveying direction essentially equivalent. From the individual outlet openings emerging strands of the application medium touch each other so straight here.
- the outlet openings can also be the same Row have the same diameter, which is for manufacturing reasons Has advantages (claim 10), or different be (claim 11), in particular a reduction of the diameter of the terminal outlet openings may be appropriate to the influence of the constriction on To minimize the edge of the order (claim 12).
- the rows of outlet openings should follow each other closely, to form a coherent Promote trace of the application medium. According to claim 11 the distance in the conveying direction should at most be about Diameter of the outlet openings correspond to one of the rows.
- outlet openings are straight, to the direction of conveyance vertical rows of the substrate arranged (claim 15).
- Outlet openings with a circular cross section can be formed by bores of the appropriate diameter, those with twist drills, electroerosively or in have been manufactured in a similar manner.
- the application head on which the boundary surface is formed with the discharge openings in general is made of steel of an already increased hardness, it has been shown that just at the outlet openings small cross-sectional dimensions through which the Glue or the like at the high target substrate speeds pushed through at high speed must become noticeable signs of wear over time demonstrate.
- the design is based on Claim 16 useful, in which the exit area made of a material with increased wear resistance is.
- the wear mainly occurs in the exit area on, so that only this matters. A Manufacture of the entire order head from the material increased wear resistance would be too high and outside the exit area also unnecessary effort represent.
- the bar be electrical conductive hard material exists (claim 17), i.e. made of a hard metal or an electrically conductive Ceramics (cermet).
- Ceramics Has electrical conductivity the reason that the fine outlet openings in such materials no longer drilled with twist drills can become because the materials may be harder are than the drills.
- the outlet openings are here rather introduced with an electroerosive device, which require a conductivity of the workpiece makes.
- the bar can also be composed of individual pieces be, but it is preferred if they are throughout the entire width of the application head extends (claim 18).
- Claim 19 is for the presence of a tear-off edge directed the smooth transition of the strands or ensures the trace of the application medium on the substrate.
- the tear-off edge is general in itself known prior art and goes for example from the Company lettering from Dittberner GmbH and from DE 35 06 393 A1.
- the Bevel according to claim 20 allows the decisive Area, namely in the plane of the outlet openings with the tear-off edge almost to the front edge of the outlet openings to be able to approach.
- the embodiment according to claim 21 allows one continuous lateral connection from across to Direction of conveyance generated adjacent distribution chambers Order tracks.
- Fig. 1 shows the application of a strip-shaped application track 1 of a glue on a substrate 2 from a Slot nozzle, which only through an outlet slot 3 representing line is reproduced.
- the substrate 2 to Example a paper web or a paper tape runs in the Direction of arrow 4 on the fixed outlet nozzle 3 passing at a short distance.
- the width of such a glue trail 1 can be a few millimeters to a few tens Millimeters.
- the width of the glue track corresponds to 1 in essentially the width 5 of the outlet nozzle 3.
- the constriction can change, so that at high speeds with the well-known outlet slot not to achieve the desired glue track of defined width is.
- Width fluctuations in the size arrangement in question are especially for the cigarette industry not acceptable where it comes in, even at very high ones Speeds up to 600 m / min the job width so to comply with as precisely as possible.
- an application head is shown, with the help of which the width of the track created Application medium such as glue even at high speeds can be better adhered to.
- the application head 10 comprises a plate-shaped one Carrier 11 with internal openings for the glue, one underneath arranged channel plate 12 with inner channels to distribute the glue and a nozzle plate 20 with a Tear-off edge 21 and one designated as a whole by 30 Arrangement of outlet openings 29 from which the glue on top of the close below or in the Dispensed in the sense of arrow 4 conveyed substrate 2 is controlled by the high Switching frequency of electrically controllable glue valves 13,14,15,16.
- the nozzle plate 20 is in longitudinal section played. It contains blind holes 19 for screws, by means of which the nozzle plate 20 with the channel plate 12 and the carrier 11 is screwed.
- the crucial area is marked by the circle Z.
- the nozzle plate 20 has in its rear part an inclined underside 7 which is opposite to the conveying direction 4 rises slightly against the flat top 8. Near the Area of the arrangement 30 of the outlet openings 29 goes the bottom 7 in a boundary surface 23, the extends at least over the area of this arrangement 30 and is flat and parallel to the substrate 2. Of the top 8, i.e.
- the distribution chambers 24 are in the embodiment 5 milled into the nozzle plate 20 from above elongated grooves, the bottom 27 almost entirely of the Arrangement 30 of the outlet openings 29 is covered.
- One distribution chamber 24, 25, 26 results on the substrate 2 a glue track of corresponding width.
- the order 30 of the outlet openings 29 or the individual distribution chambers 24, 25, 26 depends on the desired gluing pattern. In the case shown in Fig. 5 that is Gluing pattern symmetrical to the longitudinal median plane M, i.e. they are on the opposite side of the median longitudinal plane M mirrored the same distribution chambers 24 ', 25', 26 'are provided. This arrangement enables one 24, which is still there in detail is explained.
- the distribution chambers 24, 25, 26 have flat connecting channels 34, 35, 36 in the top of the nozzle plate 20, open into the feed channels of the channel plate 12.
- the of Glue entering from the channel plate 12 at the top is inserted into the Feed channels 34,35,36 deflected horizontally and then vertically into the distribution chambers 24, 25, 26 again diverted. This multiple redirection is for the even one Distribution of the glue in the distribution chambers 24,25,26 of importance.
- the relative also serves this purpose large flow cross-section of the distribution chambers 24, 25, 26, which is the total cross section of all in the respective distribution chamber mouth, forming the outlet openings 29 Bores 28 significantly exceeds.
