Abstract

The guide rail, esp. for a sliding door on a cupboard or bureau, has a U-shaped cross-section with a flat base. The surface of the flat base has a number of elongated projections (16) with symmetrical convex surfaces, covering the whole or part of the rail's width. Each projection is made form a plastic material such as a natural lubricated polyacetal, either made in one piece with the rail or made separately and attached to it with adhesive. The projections can cover most of the length of the rail, with gaps at intervals for fixing screw holes (19).
