Definitions
- the invention relates to a jack with a pedestal, which at its lower end has such a base has that the pedestal with different Inclination can be placed on the floor and over the foot with decreasing inclination during the lifting process supported on the floor with a support arm, which in the Area of its rear end around one between the top and the lower transverse column end arranged first transverse axis hinged to the column and in the area of his front, free end with one on the vehicle to be lifted attachable load bearing head is provided with a threaded spindle, which by means of two abutments on the one hand in the area an upper end portion of the pedestal and the other rotatable on the support arm at a distance from the first transverse axis and each around a second parallel to the first transverse axis or third transverse axis is pivotally mounted with a of the threaded spindle attacking hand crank, one of the two threaded spindle abutments designed as a spindle nut and so the support arm by rotating the threaded spindle
- the upright pivoting support arm is primarily aimed at make sure that the jack 's column is in relation to the Floor or the vehicle to be lifted under a certain Angle set, d. H. is placed on the floor; only like that can be avoided that when lifting the vehicle Load is not picked up correctly and the jack, if necessary but also the vehicle that slips away because of the The line of action of the load does not always run through the foot.
- the correct positioning of such a jack is especially for inexperienced people handling jacks problematic, one having to keep in mind that defective nowadays tires are extremely rare and therefore the vast majority of drivers of cars have none at all Has practice in using jacks.
- This well-known jack has but a whole host of disadvantages, among others the right one with such a freely pivoting additional support Inclination of the pedestal when placing the jack on the Floor still not guaranteed since the jack has the different heights of the jack attachment points on the Vehicle body not taken into account, and secondly this extra prop tends to rattle when the jack for example, is stowed away in the trunk of a vehicle.
- the pedestal consists of two parallel rails, which Form pillar side walls in the area of their upper ends by a cross strut and at its lower ends by a Attachment foot are firmly connected, the latter is formed by such an angled plate that he a projecting down and to the support arm pivot axis forms parallel tipping edge.
- the additional support has - in the direction seen perpendicular to the support arm pivot axis - one in essential U-shaped shape with two side legs, the about a transverse axis parallel to the support arm pivot axis hinged to the two pillar rails are, namely adjacent to the support arm pivot axis, however located behind the latter, d. H. on that of the load lifting head opposite side of the support arm pivot axis.
- the behind the support arm pivot axis end portion of a support arm side wall is with a part-circular toothing provided, which also has a partially circular toothing combs that on the support arm pivot axis facing End region of one side leg of the additional support is provided.
- the angle between the additional support depends and pedestal on the angle between the latter and the support arm; is now a defective, d. H. airless Tires changed on a fully loaded and refueled vehicle the jack body of the vehicle body at a relatively short distance above the floor, so that the lifting process begins and the Jack is loaded while the additional support is still on has not reached a vertical orientation, d. H. still not at all perpendicular to the floor, so that her lower In the end, it has not yet reached the lowest point on its path Has. It can then happen that the next Actuation of the jack, d. H.
- Fig. 2 of EP-A-0 396 233 without further recognize that when putting this known jack on the floor practically every inclination of the pedestal opposite the floor with two different swivel angle positions of the support arm can be brought about which two pivot angle positions correspond to the additional support, the approximately equal swivel angle distances from the vertical Have the position of the additional support - the inclination of the pedestal compared to the ground is therefore not the clear Height of jack jack provided on the vehicle body assigned above the floor.
- the Fig. 3 of EP-A-0 396 233 recognize that in the course of swinging up of the support arm up to its highest possible position Gears on the support arm and on the additional support out of engagement can come.
- the invention was based on the object, a so-called To create one-arm scissor lifter that is designed so that he also from an inexperienced in using jacks Person with greater certainty with the right inclination its column is placed on the floor, then the Lifting vehicle that is not at risk in use due to an overload of one or more of its parts to be damaged.
- the single-arm scissor lifters in question are always on the long sides of the vehicle body scheduled, d. H. the latter has her Jack jacks on the two sides of the body. If now an impeller should be replaced and the vehicle on one of its long sides is raised, describes the jack mount, on which the jack is attacking, in the course of the lifting process approximately an arc around a longitudinal axis of the vehicle parallel axis through that point or those points at which the jack the vehicle's opposite wheels rest on the ground.
- the jack jack or the lifting force holds the Load lifting head or the free end of the jack arm from the moment relative to the vehicle in which the The lifting process starts from the moment of the first, initial load on the support arm.
- the load lifting head must also do this the previously mentioned arc describe what together with the connection caused by the threaded spindle between the support arm and the pedestal has the consequence that the inclination of the pedestal increases already at the start of the lifting process change begins.
- the additional support and at the start of the lifting process The jack must drive the gearbox to be load-free including its gearbox only trained so be that solely due to the erection of the pedestal the lower end of the additional support at least not slower would be removed from the ground as this is the exit speed the additional support corresponds; this requirement but can be easily fulfilled by any designer by appropriate dimensioning of the effective length of the Support arm, the distance of the first transverse axis from the foot and by dimensioning the gearbox, because the design of the Gearbox determines the relationship between angular velocity of the support arm and linear extension speed of the Additional support.
- the additional support By designing the additional support as a slider also all problems of the jack described above Avoid according to EP-A-0 396 233.
- Can absorb tilting moments rather, the additional support is supposed to only serve the purpose of helping the operator with the Choice of the angle of the stand column, d. H. the pedestal inclination before loading the jack.
- the additional support can be tilting or rolling feet extended against the ground; the jack, however, has one on the column around a to the support arm pivot axis parallel axis swivel-mounted foot, it should be more advantageous to use the additional support Angle of inclination of the foot relative to the pedestal control the auxiliary support, although it is of course also possible behind the swiveling foot against the ground to put on or to provide a recess in the foot, through which the additional support reaches to the ground to be able to be created.
- a single arm scissor lift with one on the column in its Longitudinally held and held by the support arm actuated additional support is in itself from Figures 3 and 4 and the associated description of DE-B-26 21 425 known; with this jack the additional support is supposed to be straight serve the purpose of supporting the pillar in the course of the actual Lifting process and in the event of a tilting or Then prevent an unstable position of the column, if this is only over the tilting edge of the roller base supported on the ground (see in particular column 2, lines 37-40, column 3, lines 30-38 and column 5, lines 1-6 of DE-AS-26 21 425).
- this known jack as for another known jack, which is particularly 4 of DE-A-26 25 085 results.
- This also has an additional support that can be moved longitudinally on the pillar, which on the one hand, the rear end of a foot neighboring, can be placed on the floor and on the other by the threaded spindle or one driven by the latter Lifting component so driving and opposite the column in whose longitudinal direction is displaceable, that at a level Floor jack, the lower end of the auxiliary support together with the foot just against the ground abuts while the support arm by the vehicle to be lifted is charged, d. H. during the actual lifting phase.
- the additional support could be along its entire length be parallel to the longitudinal direction of the column, preferred but are embodiments of the jack according to the invention, where the additional support in its lower end area is so angled that when putting the inclined Stand on a flat floor the lower end of the Additional support runs approximately perpendicular to the floor.
- the risk is reduced that when the jack is still unloaded in the course of swinging the support arm as a result of Movement of the additional support on the jack foot the floor is shifted, as in the known Jack according to EP-A-0 396 233 is the case.
- the serration of the additional support could take the form of a row of punched holes, but embodiments are preferred of the jack according to the invention, in which the Toothing of the additional support has a row of embossed teeth, since there is a better engagement of the two gears interlocking and cheaper specific surface pressures between the teeth of the two teeth.
- the support arm is approximately U-shaped Cross-section with two side walls and a bottom, it is advisable not to have only one on the support arm To provide teeth, but rather the construction to shape that the rear end portions of the two support arm side walls protrude towards the rear of the support arm floor and each provided with a partially circular toothing are.
- the additional support could be used for these two gears have only a single row of teeth, more advantageous it is, however, if the additional support has two rows of teeth has, which are arranged at a transverse distance from each other, and also at least one between the two rows of teeth protruding to the rear and extending in the longitudinal direction of the additional support extending rib against a back wall of a an approximately U-shaped cross-section column is present.
- Such a design of the additional support can be produce at no additional cost if, as is preferred, the Additional support is formed by a sheet metal strip, because then the two rows of teeth and the rib can be in manufacture a single embossing tool at the same time.
- Has the jack according to the invention a tilt foot plate, so it is recommended to place this at the bottom in the area of your both side edges each with a series of pointed To provide protrusions, which are embossed protrusions, but also z. B. act on the heads of rivets can, with each row of these protrusions extending all over Extends the area of the tilting foot plate, which in the course of the lifting process rolls on the floor; this makes a considerable one Slip resistance of the loaded jack achieve the floor.
- the tilt foot plate on the floor is not can slip as long as the jack is not or not yet the footrest plate is recommended on the underside with a buffer-like rubber element to be provided, which is arranged such that it Place the jack on the floor on the latter.
- the curb weight of a passenger car You have to keep jacks as low as possible largely made of light metal alloys.
- at least the pillar and the arm of the jack according to the invention to produce from a light metal alloy, preferably but also its foot and the crank.
- the additional support be made of a light metal alloy, as it is thanks exposed to the invention no significant loads becomes; for reasons of strength, but above all for reasons of cost however, it is recommended that the additional support be made from a sheet steel strip to form which lack of appreciable burdens with a relatively small wall thickness can, so that it remains completely insignificant in weight.
- the jack has a pedestal 10 with approximately U-shaped Cross section, d. H. with two side walls 12 and 14 and a rear wall 16 connecting these to one another
- a foot 18 or 18 ' is fixed attached, especially welded; with this foot it is a so-called rolling or tilting foot, the essentially formed by a metal plate 20 or 20 ' becomes; 1, the plate is 20th along a perpendicular to the plane of the drawing of FIG. 1 Tilting edge 22 strikingly angled and consequently forms a substantially flat front panel area 24 and a likewise essentially flat rear Plate area 26.
- Variant - second embodiment - is the plate 20 'in front the flat rear plate area 26 angled several times, so that they are more of a circular arc in the side view approximate shape. So that the foot 18 or 18 ' not on the floor indicated at 30 if possible can slide, the plate 20 and 20 'has along both of them 3 or parallel to the plane of the drawing The edges of each have a row of knobs 28, claws or the like on the plate 20 can be embossed, but preferably by steel rivets be formed.
- a support arm 32 is approximately 2/3 of the height of the column 10 a pivot axis 34 pivotally articulated on the column 10; this pivot axis runs just like the tilting edge 22 perpendicular to the plane of the drawing of Fig. 1 and 3.
- the support arm 32 also has an approximately U-shaped cross section with two side walls 36 and a rear wall connecting them 38 (the two side walls lie in the one shown in FIG. 3 Side view in a row, so that the U-profile is open at the top), and on its front, according to FIG. 3 the left end is the support arm with a load-bearing head 40 provided, which by a perpendicular to the plane of the drawing Fig. 3 extending pivot axis 42 pivotally hinged to the support arm is.
- This jack can be used to lift the jack on the underside of the body 43 one to be lifted Start vehicle and he has a transverse groove 44 into which one sill seam web located on the underside of the vehicle body 43a of a so-called body sill 43b engage can, so that the body 43 on both sides of the Cross groove 44 and the sill seam web on top of the load lifting head 40 rests.
- Threaded spindle 46 serves to pivot the support arm 32 opposite the pedestal 10.
- Threaded spindle are two abutments, namely a spindle nut 48 and a thrust bearing 50; the spindle nut 48 is preferably on the side walls 12, 14 of the column 10 about a pivot axis 52 rotatably mounted, the pivot axis 52 as well how the pivot axis 42 runs parallel to the pivot axis 34, and the thrust bearing 50 which is from the lead screw 46 is penetrated, is supported on the load-bearing head 40 and lies between this and a riveted, thickened end 54 of the threaded spindle 46.
- the support arm 32 engages between the side walls 12, 14 of the pedestal 10, so that it by turning the threaded spindle 46 almost completely into the U-profile of the pedestal 10 can pivot into it, so this 1 shows, in which the support arm in its lower starting position is shown.
- an additional support 60 which consists of a substantially flat, but profiled in the manner shown in Fig. 5 Steel strip was manufactured; by the recognizable in Fig. 5 Profileing is the sliding friction according to the invention between additional support 60 and pedestal 10 during longitudinal displacement the additional support is minimized.
- the lower end area 60a of the additional support 60 is in accordance with the invention and as in FIGS Figures 1 and 3 shown angled slightly backwards, and the plate 20 for the passage of the additional support or 20 'of the foot 18 or 18' with an opening 62 provided (see also Fig. 2). With its upper end area the additional support 60 forms a first tooth segment 64, which formed by teeth 66 stamped out of the additional support becomes. As can be clearly seen in FIG.
- each is individual Tooth in the central longitudinal region of the additional support 60 interrupted, because of the longitudinal profile of the additional support 60, d. H. the additional support 60 is parallel with two rows of teeth running towards each other.
- the rear, 1 and 3 right ends of the side walls 36 of the support arm 32 are to the rear over the support arm rear wall 38 over and each form a second tooth segment 70 with a partially circular toothing.
- teeth 66 of the tooth segment 64 engage, the two toothed segments being designed in this way are that they are in every possible swivel angle position of the support arm 32 engage in relation to the pillar 10.
- the additional support 60 is between the side walls 12 and 14 of the pedestal 10 slidably guided so that they are transverse to their longitudinal direction can't move.
- Lifting the additional support 60 from the rear wall 16 of the column 10 is on the one hand by the Tooth segments 70 of the support arm 32 and the other by a Tongue 78 prevents the opening 62 from being made punched out of the plate 20 or 20 'and bent up was that the additional support 60 is longitudinally displaceable, however perpendicular to the rear wall 16 of the pedestal 10 essentially held free of play between the pillar and the tongue 78 becomes.
- the Additional support 60 provided according to the invention with its drive however, as a result (at least with an essentially flat Floor 30) that the jack always with a very specific Inclination of the pedestal 10 relative to the floor 30 on this is put on, regardless of whether the putting on the jack on the floor at its lower starting position engaging support arm 32 (as shown in Fig. 1) or before placing the jack on the floor the support arm by turning the crank handle 56 by a certain amount Angle has been swung up - the operator can anyway do not swing the support arm 32 up too far, because otherwise the jack will no longer be between the floor 30 and the vehicle body not yet raised leaves.
- the inclination of the pedestal 10 relative to the floor 30 always the angle present when the jack is put on between support arm 32 and column 10, d. H. through the invention ensures that the initial inclination of the pedestal 10 corresponds to the initial angular position of the support arm 32.
- the invention prevents one with the correct inclination of the pedestal 10 on the Floor 30 car jack in the course of swiveling up of the support arm 32 - before the load-bearing head 40 on the body comes to the system - unintentionally tilts so that the pedestal 10 is inclined incorrectly when the actual lifting process begins.
- the length of the support arm 32, the distance the pivot axis 34 from the lower end of the column 10, the additional support 60 and the gear 64, 70 for their actuation designed so that from the moment the actual Lifting process begins and the column 10 is no longer due the extension of the additional support 60, but rather because the load-bearing head 40 together with the counter passes through the circular arc 90 adjacent body areas, further erects, the additional support 60 at least almost is load-free and in particular does not take up any lifting load got to; to ensure that the additional support 60 by the vehicle to be lifted is not loaded, it is only necessary the above-mentioned components of the jack to design and arrange that the angular velocity, with which the pedestal 10 in the course of lifting the vehicle upright, and the speed at which the auxiliary support 60 extended from the column 10 downwards will be in such a relationship that the lower end of the additional support 60 at the beginning of the actual Lifting process either lifts off the floor 30 or during the Lifting at least no part of the lifting load in the ground 30 initiates (
- the foot 18 '' has the shape in a manner known per se of a shoe with an approximately U-shaped cross-section (seen in Direction of arrow B in Fig. 6); he essentially has one flat floor 100 and two side cheeks 102 (which in Figures 6 and 7 are one behind the other) and is with them two side walls on the two side walls 12, 14 of the Column 10 articulated so that it is about a to the support arm pivot axis 34 parallel axis 80 opposite the column 10 can be pivoted.
- the additional support 60 with its lower End region 60a is supported on the floor 30 until the actual one Lifting process begins in order to get the right one Determine the inclination of the column 10 is during the preparation the third embodiment of the invention Jack the lower end portion 60a of the additional support 60 of up against the bottom 100 of the foot 18 ''. Because the foot 18 '' always lies flat on the floor 30 and the Standing column 10 with respect to the foot around the axis 80 can pivot, so the additional support 60 determines the inclination the column 10 opposite the floor 30 until the actual The lifting process begins.
- the additional support 60 at least essentially load-free, with all given in this regard to the first two embodiments Explanations also apply to the third embodiment, if you replace the floor 30 with the floor 100 of the Aufsetzfußes 18 ''. But it is also a variant possible in the third embodiment, in which the bottom 100 of the foot 18 '' has a recess through which the reach through the lower end region 60a of the additional support 60 and can then be supported on the floor 30.
- the rubber buffer has approximately the shape of a rivet and passes through an appropriately designed opening of the foot.
