Definitions
- the present invention relates to a foldable coffin according to the preamble to the claim 1.
- the present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks.
- the coffin according to the invention has the following particularities in the characterizing part of claim 1. Claims 2 to 10 describe preferred embodiments of such a coffin.
- the invention thus makes it possible to provide a light coffin occupying only a small amount volume, in folded form, to facilitate its transport, while being very easy and quick to assemble, without tools and in any situation, allowing the obtaining of a rigid structure of great solidity.
- This coffin is achievable so that it can be used for both burial only for incineration, without harmful effect on the environment, in the short, medium or long term, the material of the coffin can be easily biodegradable.
- the material used to constitute the walls of the coffin is preferably in the form of a plate composed of an inner part in corrugated cardboard covered, on at least one of the two faces of the plate, by one or more layers of coating made of cellulosic material, attempted and possibly decorated, for example so as to give the surface of the material the appearance of wood.
- the cellulosic material constituting the layer (s) of coating, covering both sides of the material is made of cellulose pure natural, having not undergone any treatment with a chemical agent such as chlorine, fluorine, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid or agents chlorine or fluorine bleaching, this layer being attempted by printing water color and possibly slightly patinated by exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
- a chemical agent such as chlorine, fluorine, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid or agents chlorine or fluorine bleaching
- the corrugated inner part of the plate is preferably made of recycled paper, washed with water, without hydrochloric whitening or hydrofluoric, and assembled by means of an adhesive neutral with regard to the environment.
- the retention tank that can be used inside the coffin is advantageously made of a material composed of a base of recycled corrugated cardboard covered, on one of its faces intended to constitute the interior surface of the wall of the retention tank, by a thin polyester film having, by example, a thickness of the order of 5 to 10 micrometers.
- Such material is designed to resist corrosive liquids, especially cadaverous decomposition, such as amino acids, this material being itself biodegradable, and to withstand, without deformation, temperatures between that of liquid nitrogen (approximately -180 ° C) and a maximum value of the order of + 240 ° C.
- the part 10 illustrated in FIG. 1 includes two panels 1 and 2, intended for form the bottom, the side walls and the lid of the coffin and two panels 3 and 4 essentially intended to form the end walls of this one.
- the part 10 is in one piece and is advantageously formed by stamping in a corrugated cardboard plate.
- the panel 1 is pierced with two small rectangular openings 11 and 12, aligned parallel to its upper edge 1a, in the upper part 1 ' of panel 1, as well as a series of aligned rectangular openings parallel to the lower edge 1b, and in the vicinity thereof, in the part bottom 1 '' of panel 1. More specifically, these openings consist of a central opening 13 and two groups of two openings 14a, 14b and 15a, 15b, arranged symmetrically with respect to the opening 13.
- the panel 2 is pierced with two rectangular openings 21 and 22 aligned parallel to its upper edge 2a and placed in the vicinity thereof, in the upper part 2 ′ of the panel 2, and three openings rectangular 23, 24b and 25b aligned parallel to its lower edge 2b and placed in the vicinity of the latter, in the bottom 2 '' of the panel 2.
- the panel 2 is, moreover, pierced with two elongated slots 26a and 26b, arranged symmetrically between them.
- the panels 3 and 4 have shapes and essentially identical dimensions, apart from the fact that the panel 4 includes a lateral tab 5 on its free edge 4c.
- the upper parts 3 'and 4' respectively of the panels 3 and 4 are essentially triangular and tapering towards their edges respective superiors 3a and 4a.
- the 3 'and 4' parts of the panels 3 and 4 widen again in the vicinity of the edges 3a and 4a, forming each a 3 '' and 4 '' end tab, the edges of which constitute, at their junction with the edges 3'a and 4'a of the triangular parts 3 'and 4', kinds brackets whose function will be indicated later.
- Respective appendages 3 '' 'and 4' '' generally rectangular, extend the panels 3 and 4 downwards, beyond the lower edges 3b and 4b of these.
- Appendix 3 '' ' has a rectangular opening 34a, similarly dimensions as the openings 11, 12 ... 25b, above, and of a notch 34b, U-shaped, the width of which is equal to the length of the opening 34a, and the lateral edges of which are in the extension of the short sides of it.
- appendix 4 '' ' is pierced with an opening 45a, similar to the opening 34a, and a notch 45b similar to the notch 34b.
- the panel 4 is folded over panel 2, and panel 1 is then folded so as to cover the panels 3 and 2 as well as the face of the tongue 5 of the panel 4 opposite to that visible in FIG. 1.
- the tongue 5 is fixed to the surface of the panel 1, visible in FIG. 1, in the vicinity of the free edge 1c of this latest. This operation is advantageously carried out by gluing, so to prevent fixing means from appearing on the outside of the panel 1.
- the part 10 is then assembled and folded in a compact form and can make stacks each comprising a certain number of these parts, for example a dozen, for their storage and transport.
- the first stage of assembly consists of unfolding the part 10 so that the panels 3 and 4 forming the end walls are perpendicular to the panels 1 and 2 forming the side walls, and fold down, along a preformed fold line, the part upper 1 'of the panel 1 intended to form the inner wall of the bottom of the coffin.
- the bottom of the coffin is thus produced in the form of a double wall and the entire part 10 then constitutes a rigid body.
- the part 10 is then turned over, as illustrated in FIG. 2c, so allow the introduction of the liquid retention tank (not shown in the Fig. 2c) in the coffin.
- the coffin is then ready to receive the body, advantageously placed on a bed of absorbent material placed in the liquid retention tank.
- Fig. 2d illustrates the first step of closing the coffin, which can be also consider it the fourth stage of assembly.
- the second closing step (fifth mounting step), illustrated in Fig. 2nd, consists in folding over the 1 '' part of the panel 1, so as to apply it, in horizontal position, on appendices 3 '' 'and 4' '' of panels 3 and 4, with alignment of the openings 14a and 34a; 14b and 34b; 15a and 45a; 15b and 45b.
- Appendix 3 '' 'to part 1' 'of panel 1 at by means of a fixing part identical to that used, as indicated more top, for mutual securing of the respective upper parts 1 'and 2 'of the panels 1 and 2, this fastening part passing through the openings 14a and 34a.
- appendix 4 '' is secured to the 1 '' part of the panel at by means of another fixing part, also of the same type, passing through the openings 15a and 45a.
- the coffin is thus assembled and closed simply and quickly, by configuration of the part 10 in the form of a perfectly rigid structure.
- the fastener 20 shown in Figures 3a and 3b includes a frame flat rectangular 61 whose outer edges 61a extend beyond a vertical wall 62, the inner surface of which is delimited on one side by the inner edges 61b of the frame 61.
- the frame 61 and the wall 62 form a single piece coming plastic molding, for example, low polyethylene pressure and high density (HDPE).
- HDPE high density
- Pedals 64a and 64b are each connected to the inside corresponding 65 of the wall 62 by a flexible seal forming a hinge allowing the pivoting of the corresponding pedal / flap assembly.
- the upper opening of the housing 69 can be closed by a cover 70 comprising a rectangular cover plate 71, the shape and dimensions are such that it can fit inside the opening delimited by the inner edges 61b of the frame 61, this plate 71 being connected to the frame 61 by a flexible strip 72.
- the cover 70 further comprises two walls 73 perpendicular to the plate 71 which each carries two cams 73a and 73b, the shapes and the dimensions are such that when the cover 70 is placed in position closing the housing 69, as illustrated in FIG. 3b, cams 73a and 73b rotate the pedals 64a and 64b, respectively, in succession blocking in a vertical position against the corresponding inner face 65 of the wall 62. This has the effect of placing the flaps 63 in a horizontal position and to block them in this position.
- a tongue 74 makes it possible to maneuver easily cover 70.
- the cover plate 71 of the cover 70 is then locked by hooking the tongue 74 by means of a hook 75 formed on the frame 61.
- a liquid retention tank 80 is produced by simple folding of a rectangular piece 81 cut from a corrugated board base, the side 82 of which is intended to constitute inside the tank 80, is covered with a polyester film with a thickness of 6 microns.
- This range is carried out, starting from the flat part 81 shown in FIG. 4a, passing through the intermediate configuration shown in FIG. 4b, along fold lines preformed when cutting part 81, so as to form a rectangular container 80 (Fig. 4c), the shape of which is held by pressing against the interior walls of the coffin, after setting bin place.
- the coffin which has just been described is particularly light and resistant.
- the total weight of a coffin usual dimensions is about 12 kg and the load value the maximum that can be placed on the coffin is around 200 kg.
