Abstract

The inspection opening is arranged in an enclosing frame with a cover which is releasably mounted on the front side of the fire wall in a vertical direction between the lower frame arm (12) and the upper frame arm (13). The opening has a greater height (H) than the inspection cover (4). The connecting device is effective from an upper insert device between the upper frame arm limiting the inspection opening and the facing upper side of the inspection cover. A counterposed lower insert device is effective between the lower frame arm limiting the inspection opening and the facing lower side of the inspection cover. The insert pins (21) are arranged on the inspection cover. The inspection cover or the frame carries at least one metal strip covering the installation gap with the cover in position.

Description

The invention relates to a revision device for building walls, in particular fire protection walls, with a frame to be installed in the building wall and enclosing a revision opening and with a revision cover assigned to the revision opening, which can be inserted into the frame from the front of the wall and releasably connected to the frame by means of a connecting device ( See EP-A-0 193 523).

Inspection devices of this type are installed in such building walls, behind which there are any aggregates or installation devices that are to be made accessible from the outside. If necessary, the inspection cover is removed so that the space behind it is accessible.

In the case of fire protection walls, the inspection devices made of refractory materials are regularly relatively thick-walled. There are different types the connection of the cover to the frame is common, for example a hinge attachment, attachment by means of screws or locking bolts accessible from the outside, etc.

Fliesen, behindern. These connecting devices are visible from the outside, so that the inspection cover can be recognized as such. There may also be protruding parts which allow the attachment of a visible covering adapted to the surrounding wall, e.g. Tiles, hinder.

Another requirement with fire protection walls is that the inspection cover fills the inspection opening as massively as possible without forming cavities, so that the fire protection properties are not impaired.

The present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a revision device of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the tightest possible closure is possible even with relatively thick inspection covers. Furthermore, protruding parts on the front of the cover and the frame should be dispensable. Furthermore, the handling of the lid should be simple.

This object is achieved in that the inspection opening in the vertical direction between the lower frame leg and the upper frame leg measured a height greater than the width of an assembly gap Inspection cover has that the connecting device of an upper plug-in device, which is effective between the upper frame leg delimiting the inspection opening and the facing top of the inspection cover, and an opposite lower plug-in device, between the lower frame leg delimiting the inspection opening below and the facing underside of the inspection cover is effective, is formed, the maximum possible insertion depth in the upper plug-in device is greater than in the lower plug-in device, such that when the inspection cover is inserted, it is placed in an inclined position protruding below the inspection opening and is brought into engagement with the upper frame leg , after which the inspection cover is pivoted into the revision opening while maintaining the upper engagement and is lowered onto the lower frame leg while the lower plug device becomes effective, so there ß the inspection cover sits at the bottom of the lower frame leg and forms the assembly gap at the top with the upper frame leg, and that at least the rear area of the underside of the inspection cover and the inside of the lower frame leg facing it form an inclined surface inclined from the front bottom to the rear, the have both inclined surfaces corresponding angles of inclination such that when the inspection cover is pivoted the rear lower cover corner area moves past the inclined surface of the lower frame leg.

Such a connecting device is invisible from the front.

Furthermore, the inspection cover can be immediately provided with a visible covering, so that it can be optically adapted to the environment. In contrast to the hinge solution, for example, the cover can be completely removed, which can improve access to the space behind the inspection opening.

Furthermore, handling is extremely simple, since only a high / low movement with superimposed pivoting is required to attach or remove the cover.

Another advantage is that the lid sits on the bottom of the frame and is thus supported stably so that the connecting device remains unloaded. At the same time there is a tight contact of the lid on the frame, so that a smoke-tight seal is readily available. Only at the top is the assembly gap required for inserting or removing the cover, which can, however, be very narrow, since in principle it only has to be correspondingly wide for the depth of the lower plug-in device. This lower plugging depth can, however, be kept very short.

The small width of the assembly gap is also made possible by the lower inclined surfaces on the cover and the frame. Due to these inclined surfaces, the cover does not collide with the lower frame leg when pivoted, so that the inspection cover actually only has to be raised by the extent of the lower plug-in depth.

Since the two inclined surfaces have the same inclination, the cover also lies flat on the frame.

A fire protection wall 1 made of fireproof material; 1a; 1b of a building contains a recess 2; 2a; 2b which penetrates the wall and into which a revision device is built, which is formed by a frame 3; 3a; 3b and a revision cover 4; 4a; 4b. The frame 3; 3a; 3b is fastened in a suitable manner in the wall recess 2; 2a; 2b, for example by being screwed onto the surrounding wall area. In the case of FIGS. 2 to 5, a holding structure 5; 5a, for example in the form of strips of appropriate thickness, is first screwed or attached in some other way for fastening the frame to the rear of the wall, after which the facing rear frame region is fastened to this holding structure 5; 5a.

The frame 3; 3a; 3b thus forms an enclosure of the wall recess 2 and encloses an inspection opening 6; 6a; 6b into which the Inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b is used. If the inspection cover is removed from the frame, the room 7; 7a; 7b behind the wall 1; 1a; 1b is accessible from the room 8; 8a; 8b in front of the wall 1; 1a; 1b, so that aggregates located behind the wall or other installation facilities can be inspected.

The frame 3; 3a; 3b and the cover 4; 4a; 4b have a rectangular shape and, like the wall 1; 1a; 1b, are made of refractory material, as is known per se. A possibly known foam seal 9; 9a; 9b can be used, which increases its volume when heated and completely fills the relevant joint or the respective gap, so that the passage of flue gas is avoided as far as possible.

The inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b is removed from the wall front 8; 8a; 8b forth in the frame 3; 3a; 3b and can be detachably connected to the frame by means of a connecting device to be described below. The inspection cover is removed in the opposite direction to the room 8 in front of the wall; 8a; 8b.

The connecting device with which the cover is held in the inspection opening of the frame has no parts projecting on the front 10; 10a; 10b of the cover facing the space 8; 8a; 8b, so that the front of the cover can also be connected to the surrounding one Wall-mounted exposed covering, such as tiles, can be provided. The connection device also has no parts visible from the front, so that the inspection cover does not appear as such from the front.

The inspection opening 6; 6a; 6b has a clear height H in the vertical direction (for the sake of clarity, this has only been designated in FIG. 2), which is larger than the height dimension of the inspection cover 4 by the width B of an assembly gap 11; 11a; 11b ; 4a; 4b. The clear height H of the frame is measured between its lower frame leg 12; 12a; 12b and its upper frame leg 13; 13a; 13b. In connection with this, the connecting device holding the lid on the frame is connected by an upper plug-in device which connects between the upper frame legs 13; 13a; 13b and the facing upper side 14; 14a; 14b of the cover 4; 4a; 4b is effective, and an opposite lower plug-in device which connects between the lower frame leg 12; 12a; 12b which delimits the inspection opening 6; 6a; 6b below and the facing lower side 15 ; 15a; 15b of the inspection cover is effective. Here, the maximum possible plugging depth over which the respective two parts can engage in one another is greater in the upper plug-in device than in the lower plug-in device, so that when the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b is inserted, it is inclined below the inspection opening 6; 6a; 6b of the above inclined position and is brought into engagement with the upper frame leg 13; 13a; 13b, after which the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b is pivoted into the revision opening 6; 6a; 6b while maintaining the upper engagement and underneath Effectiveness of the lower plug device is lowered onto the lower frame leg 12; 12a; 12b, so that the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b sits on the bottom of the lower frame leg 12; 12a; 12b and above said assembly gap 11 with the upper frame leg 13; 13a; 13b ; 11a; 11b forms.

Dabei ist durch das Absenken des Revisionsdeckels auf den unteren Rahmenschenkel der Montagespalt 11 nach oben verlagert worden (Fig. 2).3 shows the situation in which the top 14 of the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b is slanted into the inspection opening 6 and held there against the underside of the upper frame leg 13, the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b brings into engagement with the upper frame leg 13 at the top. This plugging takes place with a corresponding plug-in game, so that the cover can be pivoted when the upper plug connection has been produced. When pivoting the cover 4; 4a; 4b into the inspection opening 6 (arrow 16), hold the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b upwards against the upper frame leg 13, so that the cover with respect to the inserted position by the width B of the Mounting gap 11 is raised and a corresponding gap between the underside of the lid 15 and the lower frame leg 12 is formed. This lower gap enables the parts of the lower plug device to be plugged together to pass each other. If the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b is then pivoted completely into the inspection opening 6, it is lowered so that the cover 4; 4a; 4b engages with the lower frame leg at the bottom, the upper plug-in device still remaining effective. The inspection cover is then held both at the top and bottom of the frame and cannot fall out of it. This is done by lowering the inspection cover on the lower frame leg of the mounting gap 11 has been shifted upward (Fig. 2).

The inspection cover is removed from the inspection opening in the opposite direction, i.e. it is first lifted until the lower engagement is canceled, after which it is pivoted outward in the direction of arrow 16 and then removed downward while undoing the upper plug connection.

The procedure just described with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3 when inserting and removing the inspection cover naturally also applies to the other exemplary embodiments.

The surfaces and edges of the cover and frame, which can come together during assembly and disassembly, can have a metal cover in order to avoid damage to the fire protection material of the cover and the frame. The lid can also be completely surrounded with a metal layer. Accordingly, the side of the frame legs forming the frame facing the cover can also be provided with a metal strip.

The weight of the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b rests on the lower frame leg 12; 12a; 12b, so that the connecting device holding the cover in the frame is not loaded. In addition, by sitting on the lid on the lower frame leg at this point, you get a tight system by itself.

So that the mounting gap 11 can be as narrow as possible, at least the rear area (this faces the space 7; 7a; 7b) forms the underside 15; 15a; 15b of the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b and the inside of the lower frame leg 12; 12a; 12b each have an inclined surface 17; 17a; 17b or 18; 18a; 18b, which is inclined from the front bottom to the rear, the two inclined surfaces having corresponding angles of inclination, such that when the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b is pivoted, the rear lower one Cover corner area 19 can move past the inclined surface 18; 18a; 18b of the lower frame leg. When the cover is pivoted, the rear lower cover region 19 performs a movement component in the vertical direction which, if the inclined surfaces mentioned were not present, would result in the bottom of the cover bumping against the lower frame leg if the mounting gap 11 were too narrow. In other words, if there are no inclined surfaces, the mounting gap 11 would have to be made wider than shown so that the lid can be raised so far that its rear lower lid area can be pivoted in or out without bumping.

Since the two inclined surfaces 17; 17a; 17b and 18; 18a; 18b are inclined equally, the cover sits on the entire lower surface of the frame.

The angle of inclination of the inclined surfaces depends on the door thickness and height.

The upper and the lower plug-in device, via which the cover is connected to the frame, are each formed by at least one plug-in recess on the inspection cover or on the frame and at least one plug-in plug which can be plugged into the plug-in recess on the other part.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3 and in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, the plug-in recesses are formed by plug-in bores and the plug-in members by plug-in pins. Here, the upper plug device from the plug bores 20; 20a and the plug pins 21; 21a is formed, while the lower plug device is formed by the plug bores 22; 22a and the plug pins 23; 23a. In the cases shown, there are two plug holes and plug pins at the top and bottom, but this number could also be different.

As already mentioned, it does not matter in principle whether the plug bores or the plug pins are arranged on the frame or on the cover. Expediently, however, the plug pins 21, 21a and 23, 23a are located on the inspection cover 4, 4a, so that after the cover has been removed, no parts which restrict the inspection opening 6, 6a protrude into the inspection opening.

It is understood that the plug devices can in principle also be designed differently.

Another useful measure is shown in FIG. 7.

There, the inspection cover 4b carries two metal strips 24, 25 which cover the assembly gap 11b when the cover is inserted. In principle, only such a metal strip would be required to cover the assembly gap. The at least one metal strip 24, 25 could also be attached to the frame, but would then protrude into the inspection opening when the cover is removed.

The two metal strips 24, 25 of the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 7 are fastened to the front 10b or to the opposite rear of the inspection cover 4b and project upwards. In this way, the intermediate space 26 between the upwardly projecting regions of the two metal strips 24, 25 forms the plug-in recess of the upper plug-in device, into which the region 27 of the upper frame leg 13b forming the plug-in member can be plugged. In this case, the cover is put on the upper frame leg, so to speak. If, on the other hand, the two metal strips 24, 25 were attached to the upper frame leg, the lid would be inserted between the two metal strips at the top.

The design of the lower plug device is independent of that of the upper plug device. In the case of FIG. 7, the lower plug-in device is formed by a plug-in strip attached to the rear of the lower frame leg 12b and projecting upwards, and by a second plug-in strip 29 fastened to the rear of the cover 4b, the lower edge of which is to be placed on the lower Pin 28 is grooved.

In the two exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1 to 6, the inspection cover 4; 4a has a rear cover part 30; 30a with a smaller surface area and a front cover part 31; 31a with a larger surface area, so that there is a step-like cross section with a flange-like projection of the front cover part on the circumference. The inspection opening 6; 6a or the frame 3; 3a has a corresponding shape. In this way, the cover rests with its step surface 32; 32a formed by the rear of the flange-like projection on the facing step surface 33; 33a of the frame 3; 3a, so that a flue gas-tight arrangement results.

For the sake of simpler manufacture, the rear cover section 30; 30a and the front cover section 31; 31a are separate parts which are firmly connected to one another. Even in the case of the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 7, in which the cover and the inspection opening are not stepped, the cover has a corresponding two-part structure, since this makes production from the fire-proof material easier.

In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 2 to 6, the frame 3; 3a is also in two parts, in that the rear area of the inspection opening, which has a smaller area, is limited by frame parts attached to the inside of the frame. Thus, the frame 3; 3a has a rear frame party 34; 34a having a smaller area and enclosing the front cover section 31; 31a and a larger frame area surrounding the front cover section 31; 31a when the cover is inserted.

In the case of FIGS. 2 and 3, the two inclined surfaces 17 and 18 are arranged only on the rear part 30; 30a of the cover or of the lower frame leg 12; 12a. In contrast, the inclined surfaces 17a, 18a; 17b, 18b in the two exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 4 to 7 over the entire thickness of the cover or the frame.

As can be seen from FIGS. 2 to 4, the plug-in members 21, 23; 21a, 23a and the plug-in recesses 20, 22; 20a, 22a arranged on the front part of the cover and the frame.

Folgende Maßnahme gilt wiederum für sämtliche Ausführungsbeispiele:The following measure in turn applies to all exemplary embodiments:

For handling the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b, ie that it can be held comfortably when inserting and removing it, it can be provided that at least one holding lever 38 (the number depends on the two upstanding sides 36, 37; 36a of the inspection cover) the size and weight of the inspection cover) is pivotally attached, which consists of a in the edge gap 39, 40; 39a between the relevant cover side 36, 37, 36a and the upstanding frame leg 41, 42; 41a swung-in non-use position (shown in solid line in FIG. 6) and a use position protruding in front of the front 10a of the inspection cover (indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 6). The holding levers 38 are formed from a flat piece of material made of metal, which in the non-use position in the relevant edge gap 39, 40; 39a disappears and is therefore practically invisible. The holding lever 38 depends on a hinge pin 43 formed in the exemplary embodiment by a screw. It is also associated with a stop 44 projecting on the relevant cover side, likewise a screw in the exemplary embodiment, against which it strikes in its foregoing position of use, so that it can be gripped and the cover can be held.

To pivot the holding lever 38 out of the relevant edge gap, one can reach into it with a pointed object.

The connecting device described, with which the inspection cover is fixed in the frame, enables the cover 4; 4a; 4b can also be removed from the room 7; 7a; 7b behind the wall 1; 1a; 1b, which can be helpful, for example, in emergency situations when there is a person in the room 7; 7a; 7b. So that the cover can also be raised from this space, a suitable handle can be arranged on the rear of the inspection cover 4; 4a; 4b, for example a handle 45 indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 2.

Finally, another possibility is shown schematically in FIG. 8, wherein the inspection opening 6c enclosed by the frame 3c is wider than an inspection cover and the inspection opening 6c is assigned a plurality of inspection covers 4c ', 4c ", 4c"' to be used next to one another. In the case of stepped design inspection covers, these are alternately with their larger area to the front and back side by side arranged.

It is also pointed out that the inspection device described can be implemented not only with fire protection walls but also with other walls.

In the described inspection devices, the inspection cover sits on the bottom of the frame only because of its weight. In addition, however, it can be provided that in the area of the upper plug-in device there is a spring device which presses the inspection cover 4 (see FIG. 9) in its position inserted into the frame 3 in the direction away from the upper frame leg 13 towards the lower frame leg.

In the case of FIG. 9, this spring device is formed by a leaf spring (46) which is mounted on the upper frame leg 13, for example in a frame leg groove, and can extend in the longitudinal direction thereof.

In the variant according to FIG. 10, the at least one plug pin 21 'of the upper plug device has a telescopically variable length and contains a spring 47, against the force of which the plug pin 21' can be shortened by pressing against its end face. Specifically, the plug 21 'shown consists of two telescoping pin parts 48 and 49, the plug 21' forming an interior receiving the spring 47 a coil spring. The ends of the spring 47 are supported on one each of the two pin parts 48, 49, so that they are pressed away from each other and the plug pin 21 'is held in its greatest length.

In both variants, the spring device 46 or 47 is compressed when the cover is inserted (in the case of FIG. 10 by abutting the plug pin 21 'at the base of the plug hole in question). If the inspection cover is then pivoted in, the lower plug device becomes effective, the spring device acting in the direction of the plug engagement of the lower plug device and pressing the cover against the lower frame leg.

If such a spring device is present, the inspection device can be installed not only in a vertical but also in a horizontal position, in which the inspection cover does not move up or down during insertion and removal, but is moved horizontally across the direction of the weight. In this installed position, the inspection cover is pressed by the spring device against the "lower" frame leg, which is not arranged here below but laterally and runs vertically. This installation position is obtained by turning Figures 1 and 9 by 90 °.
