Definitions

  • the invention relates to a double pump with an inlet A. for both pumps, from one inlet channel to both Outlet openings of the two pumps branched.
  • a double pump as is known for example from EP 0 667 455.
  • Such a double pump has two centrifugal pumps arranged next to one another, which have a common inlet channel which leads to the respective suction openings.
  • a double pump is usually arranged in the system in such a way that the upper pump would not work without a separate vent can be properly filled with the medium. The If the pump is not self-priming, it can Do not promote the medium.
  • the object of the invention is a double pump especially with non-self-priming pumps improve that the pump is not running by the running pump is vented safely.
  • the inlet duct in front of and / or behind the branch sideways at least one to a chamber or to one Has side channel leading opening through which in the Chamber or in the side channel, a negative pressure can be generated is, the inside of the non-running pump with the Chamber / the side channel is connected so that air from the pump that is not running can be sucked in.
  • the invention now creates the possibility of both Containers or rooms as well as the pump described above, without a separate venting facility on this must be attached completely with the medium too fill or vent and thus start the to ensure the pump is at a standstill.
  • the double pump is of simple construction and assembly and has small external dimensions.
  • Advantageous embodiments of the invention are in the Subclaims listed.
  • the double pump has a first lower pump 13 and one second upper, not self-priming pump 14, the Impeller axes are parallel to each other and each are driven by electric motors. Preferably they are centrifugal pumps with canned motors.
  • the pump housing of both pumps are connected to each other and thus form a common housing 16, which on the a projecting side facing away from the motors Housing part forms the two chambers 6,7 and one Inlet channel 3.2 encloses.
  • the two chambers 6,7 and diametrical between them, separating them Inlet channel 2, 3 together form a hollow circular disk, whose axis is parallel to the axes of the impellers and whose side wall facing away from the pumps is open.
  • This Side wall forms a flat connecting surface 15 with which the double pump to a flat side wall Consumer can be connected.
  • the Consumer side wall two inlet openings and one Outlet opening, which with the pressure outlets 11.12 Double pump and the central inlet A or the inlet channel 2.3 aligned.
  • the outlets 11, 12 of the pump also at the level of the pad 15 and penetrate the Chamber 6 or 7.
  • the central inlet or inlet A is in the middle of the Pad 15 and thus in the middle of the inlet duct which branches into two inlet channels 2, 3, each radial are arranged.
  • the upper inlet duct 3 ends at the Intake opening E or the suction port of the upper, second Pump 14, and the lower inlet channel 2 ends at the Intake opening D or on the suction port of the first lower pump 13. This flows through the central Inlet or inlet A sucked medium in two flows divided via channels 2, 3 to the first and second pumps, when both pumps are running at the same time.
  • the diametrical inlet channel 2, 3 is mutually connected parallel side walls 17, 18 from the side chambers 6.7 separately.
  • the area of the suction openings E, D are in the Sidewalls 17,18 side openings 4,5,8,9, which the Connect channels 2,3 with the chambers 6,7.
  • This relatively small openings especially in Slit shape, allow a flow through the chamber 6.7 from the upper side openings 4.5 to the lower Side openings or in reverse flow direction, depending on which of the two pumps is stopped. As a result, the running pump sucks air out of the pumps not running.
  • the upper channel 3 be separated from the lower channel 2 by a partition 1, the channel parts 2,3 are the same size and the Partition 1 divides the incoming medium into two streams.
  • the through the suction port D of the lower pump requested amount of medium is larger than that directly portion provided by channel 2.
  • This creates a negative pressure in the lower area of the Space.
  • This causes the medium to be sucked in part-segment-shaped chambers 6 and 7 through the Side openings 8 and 9 at the end of the channel 2.
  • Die induced circulation causes entrainment of the the chambers 6 and 7 collected air through the openings of channel 2.
  • it gets into the upper motor Collected air through the intake opening (suction nozzle) E into the chambers to be vented and becomes largely additionally dissipated.
  • the profiles or the rib-shaped guide elements 10 accelerate air separation. On the one hand, you walk the air accumulated in the room over a large area into small ones Air bubbles around and increase the in through a jet effect the sub-segments 6 and 7 brought about circulation of the Medium.
  • the upper pump is free of air and runs anytime without problems.
