Description
The invention relates to a protective device on printing presses, which are supported by swivel arms on both sides on shaft journals and can be raised from a closed to an open position, the pivoting being supported by a spring element.
Derartige Schutzvorrichtungen (siehe z.B. Such protective devices (see e.g. DE-A-4214049) are used in printing machines, for example, to secure printing units in order to prevent injury to the operator while the machine is running. Such a protective device is e.g. B. provided in the area of the plate and blanket cylinder. Protective devices of this type are opened or closed by hand, with the machine preventing the machine from running in the open position via a circuit breaker. In practice it has been found that, in particular in the case of large printing presses, the operator has to climb onto a running board on the machine in order to open the protective device in order to open the protective device completely. Conversely, this is also necessary when closing the protective device, so that, for. B. when washing the blanket or the printing plate by hand, an unnecessary effort is required, because it would suffice if the protective device was only raised something that would normally be possible without climbing. A complete opening is only necessary if the printer is also working on the inking and dampening rollers.
Based on these facts, it is the object of the invention to facilitate the operation of such a protective device for the operator.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the protective device is in a half-open intermediate position can be raised in which it rests on a lever supported by the spring element with a first stop on a shaft journal. In this half-open position, the printer can e.g. B. change the rubber blanket without having to climb on the machine to move the protective device into a stable open position. This makes the printer's work easier and he can carry out all the necessary operations from a single level. By using a spring element, he can move the protective device back into the closed position after the work is done.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that a shaft journal firmly connected to a swivel arm carries a disk with end-side first and second stops, that a lever is pivotally mounted on the shaft journal, at the outer end of which the spring element is supported by a journal that the spring element and the lever are in an over-center position in the closed position of the protective device and bear against a stop such that when the protective device is pivoted from the closed position, the disk pivots the lever with the spring element from the over-center position into a position with a second stop, in which the spring element is stretched and that, in this position of the spring element, the protective device lies against the lever in the intermediate position via the first stop on the disk.
Furthermore, it is possible according to the invention that the protective device can be raised from the intermediate position into the open position and in this position rests against a stop fixed to the frame. In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the angular distance between the first and second stops on the disc is a few degrees less than the pivoting range of the lever, so that the lever with the spring element when pivoting the protective device into the Intermediate position is moved from the dead center position. In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the spring element is designed as a gas pressure spring.
An embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawings.
