Definitions

  • the invention relates to a disposal container according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such containers serve e.g. in hospitals and medical practices for collection, transportation and disposal of hazardous medical waste. They have different sizes depending on the application, angular or round cross-section and are, e.g. in this size a toy bucket, e.g. also as "disposal box" designated. They are for disposal by incineration Containers usually made of a thermoplastic Material made. For cost-effective production and a space-saving stacking before use are those made separately from the lid Container body at the top over the entire container cross-section open and taper to the bottom of the container there. For hazardous waste over a longer period of time in e.g. small dimensions and small quantities, such as.
  • the containers are included closed a lid, which in turn is a smaller, easily lockable for the duration of the collection and has the opening opening to be opened again.
  • the containers also, e.g. on the top of the container, one through have a lid closable opening, the is smaller than the cross section of the container.
  • Containers are usually provided with a lid lock.
  • a lid lock Such is e.g. from DE G 92 04 212 for a conically tapering towards the bottom, open at the top "Disposal box” known. It is a kind of snap lock trained and accordingly has two complementary securing parts. One of them is, so to speak as a locking device, as an outside on the edge of the Box housing opening all around, frustoconical downwards expanding material thickening and the other is, as it were, a snap-in element, as one on the inner wall of the outer leg of the almost U-shaped rib collar circumferential bead of material.
  • the lid has to be opened with some effort the edge of the box housing to be pressed to the outer Leg of the lid collar over the material thickening at the edge of the box housing until the Beaded material on the lid edge collar below this Material thickening is engaged, causing the box lock and the lid securing process has ended.
  • the stiffness of the thermoplastic used is decisive Material, the thickness of the side wall of the box housing and the cover collar wall as well as the thickness of the material bead on the lid collar leg and the thickening of material on the edge of the boxing area about how to close the lid and bring about the locking device goes.
  • EP-A-0 168 877 is a container made of plastic according to the preamble of Claim 1 with an also against automatic Loosen secured lid for collecting and Known hazardous waste disposal.
  • This has a lid from the injection mold a preferred embodiment a V-shaped edge collar widening downwards, being at the free The outer edge of the collar is claw-like at intervals, V-shaped flaps that point upwards are trained.
  • the container body has below one of the edge of the container lid opening protruding circumferential rib on the outside, covering the cover flap has corresponding recesses.
  • the lid edge collar has to form the rag a - seen in cross-section - complex S-shape.
  • the flaps For evenly locking the tabs under the container rib for a permanently tight lid seat the flaps must be curved evenly and the Rib should be even and the used one Do not tire plastic so that the rags do not become theirs Lose elasticity.
  • the formation of the rag requires an additional one Cutting or punching process. Also demands closing the container some skill and Force. For this, at least several must first adjacent lobes simultaneously in the recesses the locking rib "threaded" and then to Locking are pushed through, what they are by first applying force to the container wall have to bend.
  • the invention is based on the problem of a Disposal container of the type described above with to create a lid lock that is exceptional high protection guarantees both against automatic Loosen the lid from the container body as well against willful attempts to remove the lid, including one simple design and therefore inexpensive manufacture of container body and lid allows, in particular also in a form that is space-saving Transport and storage by stacking the Container body allows a combined closure of the container body and securing the lid on Container body so relieved that this is neither noteworthy effort another special Dexterity is required, and a germ-tight one Lid closure of the container body allows.
  • edge of the container lid opening is flange-like is widened that the snap elements on the outside of this Edge, protruding elastically from it and a free end are formed, with the free ends after below indicate that the lid one in its container Ver circuit arrangement approximately the edge of the container lid opening U-shaped encompassing collar that the abutment inside the outer leg of this collar is formed that the free ends of the latching elements engage in the abutment in their locked position and that the flange-like widened edge of the container lid opening ensures the container tightness
  • the snap-in elements have a simple shape, which is an advantage in terms of their education is and also guarantees their functional reliability in the long term.
  • the single snap-in element despite a high overall security of this cover lock comparatively small and weak be dimensioned. That in turn reduces the Exertion of force due to their spacing acting independently and independently of one another To bring the locking elements into their locking position, to an exceptionally high degree.
  • the effort required is reduced accordingly for the closure of the container body with the lid or its fuse as a whole, too then when a corresponding closing movement with the cover all the snap-in elements at the same time brought into their locked position become.
  • the disposal container with its lid lock according to the invention close with the lid and close it to back up. This is due to the elasticity of the outside of the container body protruding snap-in elements allows to close the container body can give way instead of - as in the prior art - to oppose this process, which also still saves power.
  • Lid locks are just in medical Sector where such disposal containers are very often from female employees, such as Nurses, are used, which should not be underestimated. You can be very accepting of these containers for those who only put the containers into use have to close with the lid, contribute. It also closes the container body and bringing about the cover lock accelerates when there is hardly any strength and Skill are required.
  • the cover securing according to the invention also the willful attempted to reverse the snap motion, e.g. by pulling the carrier of the Abutment, not for disengaging the snap-in elements lead because of their elastic arrangement can take part in such a train movement and not would remain in their locked position. So you can neither axial lid detachment movements nor such Manipulations that initially result in a disengagement of the snap-in elements from their snap-in position on the abutment are directed to detaching the lid from the Guide the container body.
  • latching elements prefferably be on the outside on the container body directly at the edge of the container lid opening e.g. by gluing or welding to the container, to be retrofitted.
  • opening the container lid still allows a smooth inner wall of the container body, like her for a space-saving interlocking of the e.g. through an appropriately conical design Container body is advantageous and hampers on the other hand also not an interlocking, so that also conical container body with the invention Lids are inexpensive in large quantities can be purchased and stored in a space-saving manner can.
  • form of the invention is a Ent according to claim 2 care container with an open from the top circular Container body formed circular container lid opening.
  • the snap elements preferably the shape from the outside at the edge of the Container lid opening trained, with their free End downward-pointing tongues, from which it, preferably evenly spaced, e.g. for reasons of tightness, as explained further below will stand out like a wreath.
  • tongues do not affect inexpensive mass production of disposal containers made of plastic, because they in one step with the manufacture of the container body can be trained on these and for this and with regard to the demolding of the container body no much more elaborate tools than the production of e.g. from DE-G 92 04 212 known container with the outer circumferential design Detent lock are required.
  • the abutment for such tongue-shaped is advantageous Snap elements one inside at the bottom of the outer leg of the cover rim collar all around trained locking lip.
  • Such stiffens and on the one hand advantageously reinforces the outer leg of the lid collar, which increases its stability increased against a detaching movement of the lid, at which the tongues with their free end on the locking lip would push.
  • a such lip not only in a structurally simple manner the pawl-like seat for the tongues in their the Design the cover to prevent it from detaching, but at the same time also the one for snapping into place the tongue position to be specified establish.
  • Locking protection also provides a high level of protection against the willful detachment of the lid from the container, without additional security measures.
  • the tongues can be easily connected to different Load requirements are adapted, which are mainly of the size of the against Removal of the lid to be secured and the Depending on the weight of the container contents. So it can Tongue thickness and thus both the elasticity of the tongues in the area of their arrangement at the edge of the container lid opening as well as the tongue stiffness for the rest Tongue area without special manufacturing technology Additional expenditure on the respective container wall thickness be coordinated. But it can also the distances between the individual tongues The width and length of a single tongue varies become.
  • the tongues stand when they are unlocked Container formed in one with the container axis acute angle of approximately 30 ° from the side wall of the container and is the outer leg of the Lid collar in a formed with the lid axis acute angle of approximately 20 °.
  • the tongues set the closing movement no great resistance to the lid, since they are only slightly Container outer wall must be pressed, so that the outer leg of the lid collar with the latching lip can slide along what the Exertion of force to close the container body helps reduce.
  • the thickness of the tongues can be the thickness of the tongues from their root of the tongue at the edge of the container lid opening to the free tongue end to accept. This allows you to Lid detachment movement greater forces from the locking lip pick up and into the stiff container lid rim initiate without their thickening easy bendability at the root of the tongue impaired would.
  • the width of the locking lip advantageously takes at least on their inner flank to their base the inner wall of the outer leg of the lid collar towards. This makes possible, despite such an opening edge curvature continue to be flexible in the axial direction of the container body Train tongues. Because the wider the tongue root in such a curved one The edge of the lid opening, the less elastic it is, because the existing curvature in the would continue tongue and stiffen it so.
  • the root of the tongue By a trapezoidal extension to the free end of the tongue but the root of the tongue can be just as wide be that the opening edge curvature its elasticity not yet significantly affected while the width the free end of the tongue can be dimensioned that the tongue is so flexible in itself that it can move at least approximately in the latching position full-surface inside on the outer leg of the collar edge collar to order from this over the Tongue area supported for additional stability become.
  • Tongue are formed in one size, which is not only adequate tongue stability against bending, but through the the lid due to a larger width of the free Tongue end on one in comparison to the root of the tongue much larger circumferential length of these in its Lock position is held and secured.
  • container body 1 is a so-called "disposal box" for collection, transport and disposal of small medical waste Dimensions and small quantities, e.g. Cannulas of disposable syringes, determined and available for disposal by burning from a thermoplastic Plastic. It has a circular cross section and widens conically towards its upper end, where it is open across the entire cross-section.
