Description

The present invention relates to an oven door with two panes, which is adaptable to different types of ovens used in particular in the food industry, and more particularly to bakery ovens. It relates more particularly to an oven door whose inner window is pivoting.
There is already known, in particular from document FR 2 561 359, a first type of oven, the door of which comprises a frame and at least one internal window which is fixed directly to the door frame, being kept at a distance from the frame, by specific fastening means, of the screw or bolt type, acting as spacers. The tight closure of this first type of oven is obtained by directly applying the interior glass of the door to the oven muffle, by means of a seal. This seal can either be fixed on the periphery of the interior glass, or be fixed directly on the oven muffle. When the door is in the closed position, the interior window is effectively kept in position away from the door frame by the point spacers, which allows optimal sealing. This avoids the problem of leaks at the interior glass that is encountered in the doors of traditional ovens, in which the tight closing of the oven is obtained by making the door frame cooperate, and not the interior glass, with a seal surrounding the oven opening and the interior glass is embedded in the door frame. The door used in this first type of oven also has the advantage of providing very good thermal insulation to the frame with respect to the interior glass, which glass is the only element of the door in contact with the oven muffle. In fact, the thermal bridges between the interior glass and the frame are limited to point spacers, and the space existing between the glass and the frame makes it possible to obtain ventilation of the interior glass and of the frame. When this first type of oven has a second external window, this is for example directly embedded in the frame of the door. In this case, to access the space between the two panes, in particular during cleaning operations, it is necessary to disassemble the interior glass by completely detaching it from the frame on which it is fixed. Such a dismantling operation requires tools, is costly in time, and involves manipulation of the glass which may cause the glass to break.
A second type of oven has also been proposed, in particular in document GB 451 702, comprising a double-glazed door, in which one of the two panes is pivotally mounted relative to the frame of the door, which door comprises in besides means for closing the pivoting window. These closing means of the pivoting window are quick to lock and unlock and are located opposite the pivot axis of the window. They allow the pivoting window to be locked in a position where it is parallel and spaced from the other window. In the particular example described and illustrated in this document GB 451 702, the pane which is pivotally mounted is the outer pane. In this document, it is suggested that the pivoting window may be the interior window. For obvious safety reasons, this second solution is preferable, so that the exterior window cannot be opened when the oven is operating, the door being closed. The door of this double-glazed oven described in this document has the advantage of allowing quick and easy access to the space between the two panes, without requiring disassembly of one of the two panes. However, this door is of the traditional type in that the inner glass is not intended to come to cooperate with a seal to achieve a sealed closure of the oven, unlike the first type of oven mentioned above. This oven door therefore does not have the advantages of oven doors of the first type mentioned above. In addition, in the event that the interior window is pivotally mounted, it is located inside the oven when the door is closed, which causes significant contamination of the pivoting members and locking means with locking and quick release of the interior window.
De manière connue par le document GB 451 702 la porte de four comporte :The goal that the applicant has set is to propose an oven door to two panes which on the one hand has an inner pane pivotally mounted relative to the frame, so as to allow quick and easy access to the space between the two panes, but which also has all the advantages of sealing and thermal insulation of oven doors of the first type. In a manner known from document GB 451 702 the oven door comprises:
According to the invention, the closing means consist of one or more quick-closing closing spacers with quick locking and unlocking, which make it possible to keep the inner window at a distance relative to the inner face of the frame, when the inner window is closed; the hinge part comprises at least one plate and the internal window is fixed at a distance from said plate by at least one point fixing spacer, so that said plate is applied and supported on the internal face of the frame, when the inner window is in the closed position.
According to a preferred variant, one end of each point fixing spacer crosses on either side each corresponding plate of the hinge part, and the internal face of the frame has an opening for the passage of said end, so that each plate of the hinge part is applied perfectly and positioned against said internal face of the frame. This variant advantageously makes it possible to obtain an always identical positioning of the interior glass in the closed position with respect to the internal face of the door frame, and therefore of the interior glass with respect to the oven muffle.
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the Following description of a particular embodiment of an oven door of the invention, given by way of nonlimiting example, and with reference to the appended drawings in which:

The oven door 1 of the invention which is shown in Figure 1 has a hollow metal frame 2, of substantially rectangular shape, on which are mounted parallel an outer window 3 and an inner window 4. The outer window 3 is directly embedded in the frame 2. The inner window 4 is fixed and kept at a distance from the internal face 2a of the frame 2, so as to thermally insulate the outer window 3 and the frame 2, from the inner window 4, and d on the other hand to leave between the frame 2 and the interior window 4 a space 5, which is large enough to act as a ventilation corridor, by natural convection of the ambient air. When the door 1 equips an oven (not shown), it is pivotally mounted along a vertical pivot axis. In this case, when the door is closed, the external window 3 faces the user of the oven; the inner glass 4 is applied against the muffle of the oven, so as to ensure the tight closure thereof, by means of a seal surrounding the opening of the oven muffle.
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, each point closing spacer 7 comprises a locking ring 12 / quarter-turn screw 13 assembly. The two quarter-turn screws 13 are fixed through the interior glass 4, respectively near the two angles of this window which are opposite to the pivot axis lb. The two locking rings 12 are clips for quarter-turn screws, which are fixed directly to the internal face 2a of the frame 2, so that each quarter-turn screw 13 comes to fit in the corresponding locking ring 12 , when the interior window is in the closed position, as shown in FIG. 1. Each locking ring 12 / quarter-turn screw 13 assembly also includes a seal 14, made of rubber. This rubber seal 14 surrounds the corresponding quarter-turn screw 13 and passes through the interior window 4, so that it comes to bear on the internal face 2a of the frame 2 when the interior window 4 is closed (FIG. 3) . Its function is therefore on the one hand to ensure sealing at the level of the passage of the quarter-turn screw 13 through the interior glass 4, and on the other hand to serve as a spacer between the internal face 2a of the frame 2 and the inner glass 4. If reference is made to FIGS. 6A and 6B, the hinge part 6 consists of a metal rod 9, at the two ends of which are fixed in the same plane, for example by welding, two identical plates 10 , of rectangular shape and of small width compared to the length of the rod 9. The rod 9 of the hinge part 6 of the door 1 is pivotally mounted along the pivot axis lb, by through part 11 of FIGS. 5A and 5B. This part 11 comprises a flat part 1 la which is intended to be fixed on the internal face 2a of the frame 2, by means of three screws, and a part 1 lb, which has the shape of a gutter a V (FIG. 5B) , and which is intended to serve as a housing for the rod 9 of the hinge part 6, when said part 11 is fixed to the frame 2.
As shown in Figures 2 and 4, the two point fixing spacers 8 consist of two screws 15, which pass through the inner glass 4 and respectively each plate 10 of the hinge part 6. At each screw 15 is in further provided a rubber seal 17. On the internal face 2a of the frame 2, at each of the two plates 10 of the hinge part 6, an opening 16 has been made, in order to allow the passage of the end 15a of each screw 15, which is located at the other side of the plate 10, with respect to the interior glass 4. Thus, when the interior glass 4 is in the closed position (FIG. 1), the plates 10 are applied perfectly and bear on their entire surface, against the inner face 2a of the frame 2 of the door 1, and the inner window 4 is always correctly positioned relative to the frame 2. In this way, being an oven which is equipped with the door 1 and the closure of which is provided by the inner glass 4 which cooperates with a seal fixed either on the periphery of the glass or on the periphery of the opening of the oven, the internal glass 4 is always correctly positioned with respect to this seal , and is perfectly applied with be this, when the door 1 is in the closed position, which makes it possible to obtain an optimum tight closure of the oven.
The door of the invention also makes it possible to obtain very good thermal insulation of the external glass 3 and of the frame 2 with respect to the internal glass 4. In the case of door 1 which has been described, this thermal insulation is increased by the fact that the number of points of contact between the internal glass 4 and the internal face 2a of the frame 2 has been limited to four, and that the surface of each of these contact points was deliberately chosen to be as small as possible, in particular with regard to the surface of the plates 10. To access the space between the two panes 3 and 4, simply unblock the two screws 13, by turning them a quarter of a turn, then open the inner pane 4 by rotating it in the direction of the arrow F (FIG. 1), around the pivot axis lb. It is therefore no longer necessary to completely disassemble the interior window 4. The cleaning operations of the internal faces of the two windows 3 and 4 and of the interior of the frame 2 are thereby facilitated. In addition, when this space serves as a housing for the lighting of the oven, as illustrated in FIG. 2 by the lamps 17, it is possible to very quickly change a lamp which no longer works. To close the inner window 3, it is sufficient to rotate it in the opposite direction to the arrow F, until the plates 10 are supported on the frame 2, and the screws 13 are fitted in their locking ring 12 , then to lock the screws 13, by turning them again by a quarter of a turn, in the opposite direction to that of the unlocking, the window is then operational to ensure the watertight closing of the oven on which the door 1 is mounted.
The invention is not limited to the description of a particular embodiment which has just been given by way of nonlimiting example. One could in particular design a hinge part of different shape, and consisting for example of a single plate replacing the two small plates 10 and extending over the entire length of the rod 9. One could also use a greater number of screws 15 or sets of locking rings / quarter-turn screws, without departing from the scope of the invention. The pivot axis of the interior window may possibly be horizontal.
