[Also in Group XI] A domestic cooker having a hinged outer oven door 1, comprising a framework 2 and a sheet metal covering 3, has a hinged inner glass door 4 that is supported in the dropped-down position by the outer door. As shown, the doors 1, 4 are mounted on a common pivot rod 8 and are held together by a crank, pivoted on the outer door 1, engaging the inner door 4. Pressure on a button 19 releases the crank to allow opening of the outer door 1 only and the inner door is held closed by springs 11 fixed to hinges 10 on the glass door 4 and to the framework 2 of the outer door. A protective wire mesh may be clipped to the inner face of the glass door.
