[Also in Divisions E2 and F4] A self-closing cover 14 for a compartment on the inside of a refrigerator door is rotatable on two pivots 16, 17, the pivot 17 being connected with means such as a tension spring 32 (Fig. 3) for closing the cover, which means is disposed invisibly outside the compartment and inside the door. As shown, the spring 32 is arranged in a chamber 21 inside the door and fixed to the inner wall 10 thereof. A watch type spring, Figs. 9 and 10 (not shown) or other type of spring such as a compression or torsion spring, may be used. The spring may be replaced by a weight attached to a lever arm on one of the pivots.
