Definitions
- the present invention relates to an analog clock, in particular a wristwatch, with clock, pointer and motor drive means and with means additionally arranged in the watch case for measuring and displaying, in particular, atomic radiation.
- analog clocks are no longer very marketable and analog clocks have become significantly more important, it is the object of the present invention to create an analog clock, in particular a wristwatch, which, in addition to the usual timer functions, is capable of precisely measure and display atomic radiation.
- the means for measuring and displaying the radiation comprise a circuit board with flexible printed circuit traces, which is folded into the watch case and which is flat in the development, and which connects a measuring sensor to the display means via an amplifier and evaluation circuit, the folded one , Bendable circuit carrier encloses a first intermediate plate carrying the clockwork by bending surface parts protruding in the development of the circuit carrier and with a further surface part engages under a second intermediate plate carrying the primary battery for the clock drive, and wherein the switching means on the circuit carrier the primary battery and connect a secondary battery used for data backup to the amplifier and evaluation circuit.
- the secondary battery for data backup via the amplifier and evaluation circuit is connected and cooperates with a detector to determine and display a voltage drop on the primary battery of the watch, respectively. perform an automatic switchover from the primary battery to the secondary battery.
- the means for measuring and displaying the radiation can be connected to an external computer test and evaluation circuit and the means for displaying the radiation can be LCD displays.
- the means for displaying the radiation can further comprise an additional pointer mechanism.
- a connection between the motor of the clockwork and the dosimeter time base of the multiprocessor is also advantageous in order to ensure accurate time measurement values.
- FIG. 1 first shows a model of an analog wristwatch according to the invention with a sensor 3 integrated in a housing 1 and LCD displays 16, 17 for measuring and displaying atomic radiation.
- a sensor 3 integrated in a housing 1 and LCD displays 16, 17 for measuring and displaying atomic radiation.
- an analog clock namely dial 21 and hands 22, are recognizable and carried out in the usual way.
- Such a circuit carrier 2 can consist of polyimide, which is laminated on both sides with metal and which has structures or conductor tracks and corresponding plated-through holes 18 (FIG. 4) created by photomechanical means.
- a first embodiment consists of the folded-in, bendable circuit carrier 2 enclosing a first intermediate plate 6 carrying the clockwork 5 by bending surface parts 7, 7 'protruding in the development of the circuit carrier 2, and a further surface part 8 second, engages under the primary battery 9 for the watch drive carrying intermediate plate 10.
- intermediate plates 12 and an intermediate housing 23, preferably made of plastic, for accommodating all elements before installation in the watch housing 1 can be provided.
- the intermediate plate 10 preferably has a protrusion 13 which serves to support the sensor 3, which is surrounded by an extension 14 of the watch case 3 (FIG. 1).
- circuitry of the circuit carrier 2 connects the primary battery 9 and a further secondary battery 11, which is used for data backup, at least to the amplifier and evaluation circuit 4, as will be explained in more detail below with reference to the block circuit according to FIG. 3.
- FIG. 4 the processing of the aforementioned circuit carrier 2 is shown schematically, whereas Figs. 5 and 6 show a photographic illustration of one and the other side of the circuit carrier 2 to illustrate the arrangement of the conductor tracks and the circuit elements.
- the charge-sensitive amplifier 14 'for the sensor 3 which can be a PIN photodiode with a dimension of approximately 3 mm 2 detector area, serves as a charge-sensitive amplifier, for example a FET impedance converter, at the gate of which the anode of the Sensor 3 and a working resistor 15 (Fig. 7) are present.
- the gamma radiation or the like impinging on the silicon of the sensor 3 generates charge shifts which change the electrical potential present at the resistor in such a way that a voltage arises at the gate which is caused by further resistors (not shown) adjusted quiescent current and generated electrical pulses. These pulses then arrive at the LCD displays 16 and 17 via the amplifier and evaluation circuit 4.
- the aforementioned electrical pulses can act as a measure of the radiation absorbed on a further pointer mechanism in order to also display the radiation dose in an analog manner.
- an advantageous feature is the arrangement of a secondary battery 11 for data backup, which is connected via the amplifier and evaluation circuit 4 and interacts with a detector (not shown in more detail) in order to determine a voltage drop on the primary battery 9 of the watch and display, respectively. perform an automatic switchover from the primary battery 9 to the secondary battery 11.
- a further advantageous feature is the connection between the motor of the clockwork 5 and the dosimeter time base of the multiprocessor 4 in order to ensure accurate time measurement values.
- FIG. 7 illustrates a circuit carrier 2 'which can be folded in in another way and is bendable, which is flat in the development, which can be joined together in a ring around the axis a-a and can be fixed with an insertion flap 25.
- a parting point 27 can be provided in part 26 of the processing to limit a shielding 26.
- a protruding, bendable surface part 28 carries the sensor 3 here, whereas the ring body on both sides has switching components 29 and. carries the multiprocessor 4.
- This measure makes it possible for the first time to provide an analog watch, in particular a conventional type of watch, with a dosimeter inside the watch case.
- connection stage 25 (FIG. 3).
