  • it may be advantageous to provide a vertical air blowing under the load which has the effect of raising this part of film released against the charge so that the next turns keep it there.
  • the clamp 18 is retractable between a high level or it is in the service position, that is to say capable of intercepting the film in the form of section of wick 17 and a low level located under the lower surface 2 of the load where it is retracted to allow for example the making of a very low turn to cover the lower edges of the load.
  • this table may include one or more other clamps 18 opposite each of the lateral faces of the load, which would make it possible to stop the wrapping opposite any which side and this depending on the position of the feed conveyors or load evacuation on the turntable. If the clamp 18 is not retractably mounted relative to the lower surface of the load, the number of clamps 18 should be limited to two arranged opposite two adjacent faces of the load to leave two access sides free and discharge of the load in front of these clamps.
  • FIG. 6 is the illustration of an industrial embodiment of a machine according to the invention, in which the load 1 rests on a turntable 21 while the device for supplying the film 3 and the carriage supporting the unfoldable arm, the plate 10 and the jaws 13 and 14 are mounted to slide vertically along a mast 22 secured to the frame of the machine.
