Description

FR-A-2 278 891) bzw. gem. Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 7.The invention relates to a chain drive for extendable Wing of windows, doors or the like. With the characteristics of Preamble of claim 1 (cf. FR-A-2 278 891) or according to Preamble of claim 7.

FR-A-2 278 891 (Teleflex) shows a chain drive for hinged wings, in which a chain guide has three chain guide sections parallel to the long side of the housing. On one end of the housing there is a chain drive wheel, which is in engagement with the release chain and can drive the chain into or out of the housing. The axis of the chain drive wheel is perpendicular to the flat side of the housing. In addition to the chain drive wheel, the inserted chain is supported with three chain guide sections which are essentially parallel to one another, for which purpose two narrow radii of curvature are required. This chain drive in the prior art thus achieves a particularly large chain length with a reasonable size of the housing, so that a large opening angle and a particularly large ventilation opening to be opened for the deployable wing is achieved.

In contrast, it is an object of the invention to enable a further extension of the chain which can be introduced into the housing, and this with approximately the same housing dimensions and additionally with a drive arranged in the housing. This object is solved with claim 1 or claim 7.

So in the chain drive housing of limited dimensions a large length of the chain to accommodate the display chain required chain guide and this large Chain length also extended safely with the motor drive or moved in, because the three chain sections over in essentially the same, corresponding to the length of the housing, Extend lengths. At the same time, the drive axis of the motor drive parallel to the three mentioned Chain guide sections aligned. The installation height of the Drive motor corresponds approximately to the height of the housing. So can a compact arrangement of chain guide sections and electric motor drive can be achieved at almost full utilization of the available in the housing standing space without the chain inserted into the housing must pass through narrow radii of curvature.

A helical arrangement of the chain guide can be preferred are used (claim 3). One can be special favorable spatial and also advantageous for the operation Arrangement of the entire chain length in the chain drive housing achieve (claim 6).

In AU-A 26 009/77 (Ogden) a helical arrangement with two or more levels is already provided for the inserted chain, a ramp (there, FIG. 14) being used. In this example from the prior art, the chain drive pinion is arranged laterally next to the (only two) guide sections, so that there are narrow radii of curvature with an elongated housing at the same time, without the electromotive drive being taken into account in this arrangement. An electric motor drive is also proposed in connection with an embodiment according to US-A 4,481,735 (Jentoft), in which, however, the chain inserted into the housing is scanned via two limit switches and no three parallel chain guide sections are reached in the housing, but only 1½ parallel to each other Sections are provided (there Figure 10). The motor (there 44) is arranged outside the housing and is in mechanical connection with the axis of the drive pinion arranged perpendicular to the guide sections. A compact arrangement of a long display chain cannot be achieved there.

The invention is explained below with reference to several examples of execution in detail.
Figure 1-3
is a tilting window equipped with a chain drive in front view or in vertical section in the closed position and the maximum open position.
Figure 4
is a top view and in cross section of a first embodiment of the chain drive.
Figures 6-8
is a modified, preferred embodiment in plan view, in cross section and in longitudinal section.

Figures 1-3 show a tilt window with a particularly large opening angle. The window usually consists of a frame on which a sash frame is articulated by lower tilting bearings 3, at the upper end of which the free end of an opening chain 7 is attached via a mounting bracket 6, which chain chain belongs to a chain drive 4, which includes the drive elements and the chain guide accommodating housing 5, which is attached above the wing flap on the frame.

The housing 5 consists of at least two for easier assembly Housing parts that are firmly connected.

As can be seen from FIGS. 4 and 5 , the housing 10 can have mounting elements 15, 16 in the inner region for attaching a motor with a transmission and transmission output pinion and for mounting a chain drive wheel, the motor transmission axis with 16a and the axis of rotation of the chain drive link with 15a. A chain guide is arranged in the housing, which is designed as an elongated flat housing, the length of which is indicated by L in FIG . This essentially consists of three chain guide sections 12a, 12b, 12c arranged parallel to the longitudinal direction of the housing and to one another, the length of which corresponds approximately to the length L of the housing. These length sections are connected to one another by transition sections, of which two sections 13 and 14 extend parallel to the end faces of the housing. The section 14 also forms the exit section of the chain guide, the exit opening of which is 14a.

The chain drive in both directions of movement takes place in the transition region between the outlet section 14 and the subsequent longitudinal section 12a of the chain guide. All guide sections lie in a common plane parallel to the upper side of the housing 10, as illustrated in FIG. 5 , which represents a section along the section line VV in FIG .

The height of the housing 10 is determined by the installation height of the actual drive determines while the width dimensions of the housing by the side by side in the same plane Longitudinal sections 12a-12c of the chain guide can be determined.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 6-8 , the ratio between the total length of the chain and the size dimensions of the chain drive housing can be made even more favorable. The housing 20, 21 of the chain drive is again made of several parts and has a flat, elongated box shape. The height and width of the central area of the housing are intended to accommodate the actual drive. This consists of a drive motor 22 with gear 23 and output shaft 24, on which, for example, a helical gear or a worm 25 is arranged, which is in drive engagement with a gear 27 which is connected coaxially and in terms of drive with a chain drive gear 29. The axis of rotation of the actual drive is designated by 26 and the axis of rotation of the gear 27 and the sprocket 29 by 28. As can be seen from FIG. 7 , the axis of rotation 26 lies in a plane 35 which is parallel to the flat side of the housing and which roughly halves the housing height. At approximately equal intervals above and below level 35, loop-shaped sections of the continuous chain guide 32 lie in levels 36 and 37. The two levels are connected to one another by an inclined ramp section 39 of the chain guide. In this embodiment, the chain guide forms a full loop in a plane having the exit 33 from the housing, including the ramp-shaped section 39, which extends along the inner contours of the housing and has significantly more than twice the length of the housing 20, 21. In addition, the chain guide extends in the other plane again over a length corresponding to half the length of a full loop of the type described. In this way, a particularly long length of the chain is obtained with comparatively small dimensions of the housing. Here, too, the drive-out chain is driven directly at the transition section with the chain guide section having the outlet opening 33 and the subsequent first guide section extending along the length of the housing. The chain 30 is reliably received and guided in the chain guide. The essential part of the height of the housing is largely determined by the necessary installation height of the motor 22. The same applies to the width and length of the housing.
