Claims (10)

  1. Vorrichtung zum schnellen wechseln und Halten einer Seitenwand einer Stranggießanlage für Metallprodukte, umfassend zwei gegenläufig rotierende Walzen (1, 2) mit parallelen Achsen, die mit einem bestimmten Abstand gegenüberliegend angeordnet sind und auf deren Enden sich zwei Seitenwände (5) zur Begrenzung eines zwischen den Walzen liegenden Gießraums (3) abstützen, sowie einen Schlitten zum Verschieben der Seitenwand (5), der auf einem Träger (6) in der axialen Richtung der Walzen zwischen einer bezüglich der Walzen vorgeschobenen Stellung und einer zurückversetzten Stellung beweglich angeordnet ist, gekennzeichnet durch
    - eine Trommel (14), die um eine zu der Achse der Walzen (1, 2) vertikalen Achse drehbar auf dem Schlitten (8) angeordnet sowie mit Mitteln (16) zum Halten zumindest zweier Seitenwände (5) in Stellungen versehen ist, die sich durch eine Drehung um einen bestimmten Winkel um die Achse der Trommel (14) ineinander überführen lassen, und
    - Mitteln (18, 19, 20, 21, 22) zum Drehen der Trommel (14) mit einer dem bestimmten Drehwinkel entsprechenden Schrittweite, um eine Austausch-Seitenwand (5b) aus einer Wartestellung in eine durch eine im Betrieb befindliche, auszuwechselnde Seitenwand (5a) besetzte Stellung zu verfahren.
  2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Trommel (14) um eine vertikale Achse drehbar angeordnet ist.
  3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Trommel (44) um eine horizontale Achse drehbar angeordnet ist.
  4. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mittel (16) zum Halten der Seitenwände (5) für jede der Seitenwände einen Träger (30a) umfassen, auf dem die Seitenwand befestigt wird, sowie Mittel (31, 32, 34, 35) zur Herstellung einer Verbindung zwischen dem Träger der Seitenwand (5) und einer ebenen entsprechenden Wand (47) der Trommel.
  5. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Trommel zwei zueinander parallele ebene Wände (47'a, 47'b) umfaßt, deren Stellungen sich durch eine Drehung der Trommel um eine halbe Umdrehung um ihre Achse ineinander überführen lassen.
  6. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Trommel (14; 44) ebene, paarweise vertikale Wände umfaßt, die entsprechend den Seiten eines Quaders angeordnet sind, und deren Stellungen sich durch eine Drehung der Trommel um eine Viertelumdrehung ineinander überführen lassen.
  7. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Trommel (14) drei paarweise lotrechte Wände (16a, 16b, 16c) umfaßt.
  8. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Trommel vier paarweise lotrechte Wände umfaßt.
  9. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mittel zum Drehen der Trommel (14) mit an dem Schlitten (8) und der Trommel befestigten Anschlägen (24, 26) verbunden sind, um die Verdrehung der Trommel auf eine dem bestimmten Drehwinkel entsprechende Schrittweite zu begrenzen.
  10. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet durch Heizmittel zum Vorwärmen einer Austausch-Seitenwand (5b) in der Wartestellung.
