Definitions

  • the invention relates to a lamp for microwave ovens according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the screen grating is transparent to light rays, the luminous efficiency serving to illuminate the furnace space is not negligibly impaired.
  • the shielding element in the case of a large-area luminaire opening, such as, for example, so-called linear luminaires, the shielding element must also have a large area, so that manual access to the lamp is impeded even after this shielding element has been folded out.
  • the invention has for its object to improve a lamp for microwave ovens according to the preamble of claim 1 with regard to luminous efficiency and handling and last but not least with regard to the design.
  • the light rays emanating from the lamp can get into the furnace space largely unhindered, for the most part reflected on the walls of the lamp chamber, which act as a reflector.
  • the shielding element is preferably mounted on the lamp in a foldable manner and is pressed into the closed position by the force of a spring.
  • a suitable arrangement of the shielding element e.g. With the overhead, horizontal folding axis, it is possible to do without a spring and to maintain a correct closed position at all times solely through the gravity of the shielding element.
  • a cost-saving design of the lighting device is obtained if, according to claim 10, a high-voltage halogen lamp is used as a lamp, which eliminates the need for a transformer required in commercially available low-voltage halogen lamps.
  • a transparent, specially designed cover can be placed, for example, plugged onto the lamp opening.
  • a frame is provided that has several functions.
  • This frame forms an indestructible seal through cantilevered, again frame-like spring cheeks, even at extremely high temperatures, for example in the pyrolysis mode of the microwave oven, which is also provided with thermal heating elements, which prevents the passage of vapors or steam into the luminaire chamber.
  • this frame made of spring material forms a fastening element for the cover by means of latching elements integrally connected thereto, which makes it easier Way even the layman can remove the cover from the lamp without tools.
  • the above-mentioned latching elements have a holding function in relation to an insulating frame which is captively attached to the cover and prevents arcing between the cover and the luminaire wall during microwave operation.
  • the luminaire shown in its entirety in FIGS. 1 and 2 has, as the basic element, an elongated luminaire housing 1, which moves a luminaire chamber 2, the wall 3 of which, for example, is made of aluminum material and is curved towards one side, inside a reflector for a lamp 4, preferably light rays coming from a high-voltage halogen lamp.
  • the luminaire housing 1 has a circumferential flange 5 which is part of the wall 3 and which moves around a rectangular, elongated luminaire opening 6.
  • a lamp socket, generally designated 8 is fastened with electrical connection elements 9, on the contact elements of which are not shown, the high-voltage halogen lamp 4 can be plugged inside the lamp chamber 2.
  • the lamp shown is installed in a microwave oven, not shown, that the peripheral flange 5 bears on the outside of the oven wall 10 of the microwave oven with metallic contact ( Figure 5) and in the manner described below with this
  • the furnace wall 10 is clamped, this furnace wall 10 having a corresponding opening in the area of the lamp opening 6 in a known manner.
  • the luminaire chamber 2 is thus accessible from the inside of the furnace muffle 2 for replacing the lamp 4.
  • a metallic carrier 12 is fastened to the aforementioned wall 7 of the luminaire housing 1, for example by means of rivets 11, which partially moves the insertion opening of the lamp holder 8.
  • This shielding element 14 has, for example riveted, a spring plate 15 in the region of the folding axis 13, which has a row of spring tabs 16 toward the side wall 7 is provided, which are curved and resiliently supported on the aforementioned wall 7 and thus produce an intimate metallic contact between the shielding element 14 and the lamp housing 1.
  • Immediate component of the shielding element 14 are also on both sides of the shielding element molded bearing lugs 17 for receiving the folding axis 13 and for the pivotable connection with corresponding bearing lugs, for example 18 of the support 12, with at least one of the first-mentioned bearing lugs 17 serving as a stop element, wherein in the illustrated Closed position of the shielding element 14 supports a stop edge 19 of the bearing projection 17 on a stop 20 of the carrier 12 and, conversely, after folding the shielding element 14 outside the lamp opening 6 in the direction of the arrow by an angle of approximately 45 °, an oblique stop edge 21 on a further stop 22 of the carrier 12 strikes and limits the swivel path (Figure 3). As shown in FIGS.
  • the shielding element 14 covers only a part of the lamp opening 6, specifically the position area of the lamp 4.
  • This shielding element 14 is on all sides of the edge of the lamp opening 6, with the exception of the wall 7 or carrier 12 in contact with it spaced so that the light rays emanating from the lamp can largely enter the furnace space unhindered. In-depth tests have shown that such a small-area shielding element 14 is completely sufficient to prevent the lamp 4 from being destroyed and the microwave energy escaping via the lamp holder and its parts during microwave operation.
  • the shielding element 14 is narrowed like a funnel in plan view and is designed as a dimensionally stable sheet metal part provided with perforations 23 for the passage of light, the boundary edges 24 being bent in favor of the dimensional stability. As FIG.
  • a box-like lamp housing 1 is provided with a circumferential flange 5 'which surrounds the lamp opening 6', a lamp holder with lamp being arranged in turn in the lamp chamber 2 ''.
  • the lamp is covered by a somewhat larger, hipped roof-like shielding element 14 'with recessed grip 28, which in turn is mounted on the lamp housing 1' by means of a folding axis 13 '.
  • the two free ends of the folding axis 13 are guided through corresponding openings in the wall parts 7 'and 7''so that they protrude outwards, the folding axis 13' being operatively connected on one side to a return spring 25 'and on the other hand, with a bent end of the folding axis 13 ′′ strikes a stop 22 ′ attached to the wall 7 ′′.
  • the arrangement of the above-mentioned bearing, reset and stop elements outside the lamp chamber 2 ′′ does not give rise to any microwave problems, for example with regard to arcing and the like.
  • a flexible contact sheet 29 (FIG. 7) is inserted between the folding axis 13' and the adjacent housing wall, or a corresponding spring plate connected to the folding axis 13 ', which is resiliently supported on the adjacent wall of the lamp housing 1' and as a return spring serves for the shielding element 14 '.
  • a transparent cover 30 can be placed on the luminaire housing 1 or on the luminaire opening 6.
  • a frame-like metallic plate 31 which moves around the luminaire opening 6 serves as the fastening base for this cover 30 and is congruent with the peripheral flange 5 of the lamp housing 1 is formed.
  • This plate 31 has a plurality of stud bolts 32 on the circumference, which protrude through corresponding openings in the peripheral flange 5 with the interposition of the furnace wall 10 mentioned at the beginning at the edge of the opening also mentioned in this furnace wall.
  • the aforementioned unit can be clamped to these stud bolts 32 by means of nuts.
  • the cover 30 is formed from a large-area, transparent glass plate 33, on the side facing the luminaire housing 1 of which a frame 34 made of metallic spring material is attached or fastened such that at least at two opposite ends of the frame 34, lugs 35 bent in a U-shape has that move the corresponding edges of the glass plate 33 and thus create a firm connection between the frame 34 and glass plate 33.
  • the frame 34 has a rectangular frame opening 36 corresponding approximately to the size of the lamp opening 6. On the circumference of this frame opening 36, the frame 34 has corner slots 37 of spring cheeks 38 which are separated from one another and curved in the direction of the lamp housing 1 and which are slightly curved at the free ends.
  • the frame 34 has, as one-piece components, resilient and essentially S-shaped latching elements 39 lying on two opposite frame legs, which when pressed on lock the cover 30 onto the plate 31 with corresponding counter-locking elements 40 of the plate 31.
  • the aforementioned locking elements 39 also serve to captively secure a thin insulating frame 41 made of electrically non-conductive material to the cover 30, for which purpose this insulating frame 41 according to FIG. 1 has corresponding locking recesses 42 with which the insulating frame 41 can be pressed onto the locking elements 39.
  • a shielding element 50 which partially covers the lamp opening and consists of a foldable unit, is shown.
  • the foldable unit consists of a perforated metal jacket 51 and a folding foil 52.
  • the perforations of the metal jacket 51 are optimized for a necessary microwave energy attenuation taking into account the greatest possible light transmission.
  • the kink film 52 which is arranged in the wall area of the lamp housing, is connected to the perforated metal jacket 51 by welding.
  • the buckling film 52 forms a microwave-tight closure point between the reflector wall of the lamp chamber and the perforated metal jacket 51 and thereby protects a return spring against discharges caused by field strength.
