Abstract

Procédé d'attaque d'un dispositif à cristaux liquides, etc., et dispositif d'affichage, notamment pour l'affichage en gradations. L'invention a pour objet d'offrir un procédé d'attaque notamment d'un dispositif à cristaux liquides ainsi qu'un dispositif d'affichage permettant de réaliser de manière satisfaisante l'affichage en gradations sans causer un contraste insuffisant, des scintillements, des diaphonies, etc. En réalisant l'attaque multiplex d'un dispositif à cristaux liquides, etc., comportant une couche de cristaux liquides prise en sandwich entre un substrat pourvu d'électrodes de balayage X1, X2,... et un substrat pourvu d'électrodes de signal Y1, Y2,..., le dispositif sélectionne simultanément et de manière séquentielle une série d'électrodes de balayage, divise la période de sélection en une multiplicité de périodes et applique une tension pondérée, qui est pondérée en fonction des données d'affichage souhaitées, au cours de chacune des périodes de sélection divisées, de manière à obtenir un affichage en gradations.
