Claims (15)
- 복수의 데이터전극, 복수의 스트로브전극, 상기 스트로브 및 데이터전극의 교점에 있는 변조 요소, 및 연속적인 데이터 선택 기간에 데이터신호를 데이터전극에 공급하고 스트로브신호를 스트로브전극에 공급하여 각 데이터선택 기간동안 각요소들에 공급되는 데이터신호에 의존하여 각 요소의 전송 레벨을 설정하기 위한 어드레싱 수단을 구비하며, 상기 각 요소는 한쌍의 부요소를 포함하고, 상기 어드레싱 수단은 1:3 공간 디더에 의해 상기 한쌍의 부요소를 어드레스하고 동일한 데이터 선댁기간내에서 상이한 비트들의 1:1 공간 또는 시간 디더시 각 부요소에 상이한 스트로브 신호를 공급하도록 배치되며, 이에 따라, 각 부요소의 전송 레벨이,대응하는 공간 또는 시간 디더에 인가되는 스트로브 신호와 조합되어 상기 데이터선택기간에 상기 부요소에 인가되는 데이터신호에 의해 결정되는 광변조 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 각각의 상이한 스트로브 신호는 부화소로의 데이터신호의 인가에 앞서 상기 부요소를 블랭킹펄스에 의해 결정된 전송 레벨로 프리세팅하기 위해 블랭킹펄스가 이어지는 스트로브 펄스의 형태인 광변조 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 상이한 스트로브 신호는 상기 부요소를 동일한 데이터선택기간내에 상이한 전송레벨로 프리세팅하기 위해 역극성의 블랭킹펄스를 갖는 광변조장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 상이한 스트로브 신호들은 역극성을 갖는 광변조 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 상이한 스트로브 신호는 동일한 진폭을 갖는 광변조장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 각 데이터 전극은 동일한 데이더 선택기간내에 각 요소의 두 부요소에 데이터신호를 개별적으로 공급하기 위한 2개의 데이터 부전극을 구비하는 광변조 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 각 스트로브 전극은, 동일한 데이터 선택기간내에 있어서 1:1의 비로 공간 디더를 인가하기 위해 각 요소의 상이한 부요소쌍에 상기 상이한 스트로브 신호를 공급하기 위한 2개의 스트로브 부전극을 구비하는 광변조 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 어드레싱 수단은, 동일한 데이터 선택기간내에 있어서1:1의 비로 시간 디더를 인가하기 위해 상이한 시간 서브프레임내에 각 요소의 부요소에 상기 상이한 스트로브 신호를 공급하도록 배치되는 광변조 장치.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 어드레싱 수단은, 인터레이싱 기술을 사용하여 다른스트로브 신호가 인접한 스트로브전극에 인가됨과 동시에 스트로브 신호가 각 스트로브전극에 인가되도록, 상기 상이한 스트로브 신호를 순차적으로 공급하도록 배치되는 광변조 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 어드레싱 수단은,3개의 가능한 데이터 형태, 즉 부요소를 제1상태로 설정하는 데이터 형태, 부요소를 제2상태로 설정하는 데이터 헝태, 및 부요소에 인가되는 스트로브신호에 따라 부요소를 제1상태 또는 제2상대로 설정하는 중간 데이터 형태에 대응하는 부요소들에 데이터 신호를 공급하도록 배치되는광변조 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 어드레싱 수단은 또한, 각 어드레싱 프레임내에 시간디더를 제공하도록 상이한 연속적 시간 서브프레임시 상기 부요소를 어드레스하도록 배치되는 광변조 장치.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 어드레싱 수단은 1:9:N(N>21)의 비로 시간 디더를 인가하도록 배치되는 광변조 장치.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 어드레싱 수단은 1:9:20의 비로 시간 디더를 인가하도록 배치되며, 최상위 서브프레임시, 스트로브 신호중 하나만 인가되는 광변조 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 요소들의 각각은, 상기 부요소쌍에 부가하여 다른 부요소를 구비하여, 3개의 부요소들이 1:3:9의 비로 전송표면적을 갖고 공간 디더에 의해 개별적으로 어드레스가능한 광변조 장치.
- (정정) 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광변조 장치는 강유전성 액정물질을 이용하는, 광변조 장치.
