Definitions

  • the invention relates to an opening device on the lid of an eluent pack, in which a pouring opening can be reclosed by a closure flap and is thereby openable in that the closure flap is pivotably and captively hinged at the end of the pouring opening opposite the pouring side by means of a hinge, at least the edge of the pouring opening being elastic deformable material and a projection from the lower edge of the closure flap is attached downwards in such a way that when it is opened it can be pulled over the edge of the pouring opening and is supported on the edge of the pouring opening while keeping the closure flap open.
  • plasticizer packs of which one pack e.g. is formed from a tube of paper coated with plastic, which has bottom and lid at both ends, the lid made of plastic without a carrier material, i.e. without paper, is molded onto the top edge of the paper tube.
  • This lid of the known package is essentially flat and has a pouring opening which extends approximately from the center of the lid to an outer edge and which is located in a so-called second inner plane which is at a short distance of e.g. 2 to 10 mm, preferably 5 mm, is located within the so-called first outer plane, which defines the outer surface of the lid of the pack.
  • the lid with opening device of this known package has been further developed in such a way that the closure flap of the opening device of the type described at the outset remains open at a certain angle after opening while pouring.
  • the latching means for keeping the known closure flap open are located in the area of the hinge on the side opposite the tip of the closure flap and have a latching bead protruding approximately vertically upwards from the flap and at a distance from this a protrusion protruding approximately vertically downwards on a Reinforcing rib is attached in the central area of the lid.
  • This latching device is in need of improvement insofar as the configuration of the latching bead, compliance with the distance from the nose, the configuration of the hinge, a reinforcement rib aligned in a certain way and other devices is very difficult to manufacture and requires expensive injection molding tools.
  • the known snap-in device can already be damaged by stacking the known packages on top of one another.
  • An opening device of the type mentioned at the outset is known from EP-A-0 004 075.
  • a locking tongue placed on the inner surface of a flap triangular in plan view so that it is perpendicular to the lid surface.
  • the flap is triangular in shape so that the rounded corner is the corner of the package which is square in plan view and at the opposite end of the flap a straight hinge cuts the lid at an angle.
  • the known opening device requires this triangular shape for the flap, because otherwise the locking tongue does not describe the desired arc when opening and closing the flap.
  • the known projection is tongue-shaped and deforms with each actuation of the flap with the risk of damage.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide the device for keeping the closure flap open in the opening position in an opening device of the type mentioned in such a way that this hold-open device is simple to produce and versatile and can be closed again more easily and without damage.
  • this object is achieved in that the edge of the pouring opening is more elastic than the projection, so that the edge of the pouring opening is deformed more than the projection.
  • the attachment of a projection is known to be simple.
  • the hold-open device according to the invention is therefore simple to manufacture and to design.
  • the projection can be moved past the yielding edge of the pouring opening without damage, so that the hold-open device can be easily and easily resealed.
  • the hinge of the locking tab can be versatile at different locations on the lid can be arranged with the result that the pouring jet can be guided over any point on the edge of the lid.
  • “below” means an essentially vertical direction, which - starting from the lid of the plastic packaging - is to be thought in the direction of the interior of the packaging.
  • the projection from the closure flap is set obliquely in the direction of the interior of the package. It protrudes downward from the closure flap in such a way that in the closed state, when the closure flap is parallel to the main plane of the cover, preferably horizontally, it cannot be seen from the outside.
  • the hinge of the closure flap can be a simple line of weakness or folded edge which extends in a straight line over the entire width of the top of the closure flap approximately in the central region of the cover.
  • This direction of the hinge is preferably perpendicular to the longitudinal center direction of the pouring opening, if this is assumed from the area of the hinge to the pouring spout or tip of the pouring opening.
  • the jet of the filling material also flows in the latter longitudinal direction of the pouring opening when pouring out.
  • the projection for the hold-open device can be pulled over the edge of the pouring opening without excessive stress.
  • the projection touches the edge of the pouring opening and can deform it without the risk of damage.
  • the edge returns to its previous state after the closure flap has been fully opened, so that the projection is supported on the edge of the pouring opening when the handle is released.
  • the hold-open device has fully developed its function.
  • the opening device can also be reclosed without difficulty despite the new hold-open device.
  • the user can bring the closure flap from the open position into the closed position by light pressure, and here the projection can be pushed over the edge of the pouring opening in an analogous manner when closing. If the closure flap is again in the closed position, the protrusion is arranged inside the packaging, namely directly below the closure flap, so that it cannot be damaged from the outside and is not visible.
  • the protrusion and the fastening edge for the protrusion located on the closure tab also consist of the plastic from which the entire cover is injection molded
  • Design of the protrusion-side parts is chosen so that when the parts are touched and slide against one another, namely the projection on the one hand and the edge of the pouring opening on the other hand, whenever the closure flap is brought into the open position or vice versa from the latter into the closed position, the edge of the pouring opening is deformed more than the projection. This makes it easy to reclose the opening device because the projection presses past the edge of the pouring opening in a particularly inexpensive and dimensionally stable manner.
  • edge of the pouring opening located in the region of the hinge is made thinner than the other, substantially U-shaped to substantially V-shaped edge of the pouring device when looks at them from above and perpendicular to their plane.
  • the front edge of the pouring opening in particular in the region of the front pouring tip at the spout-side end of the pouring opening, is therefore thicker and stiffer than at the rear, ie as in the region of the hinge.
  • Such a thinner design of an edge part at the rear compared to the front can be achieved very easily by slanting the injection mold. The thinner edge part then bends more easily, as is well understood.
  • the projection on the edge of the closure flap is inclined from its center to the outside.
  • the tube of the pack has an essentially vertical longitudinal center axis, against which the projection is inclined in the sense of the last-mentioned feature.
  • the projection at the edge of the closure flap thus encloses an angle with the tube axis of the packaging, which is in the range from 0 to 30 °, preferably 5 to 20 °, and in a particularly preferred embodiment is approximately 15 °.
  • the invention is advantageously further developed in that at least one pin-shaped projection is attached to each side of the hinge and in the vicinity thereof.
  • the design of the projection as a pen has proven to be particularly simple and reliable in practice. Nevertheless, the projection can also be given the shape of a bead, a needle, a raised hemisphere or an edge.
  • it is expedient to arrange the projection in the vicinity of the hinge as was already provided in a similar manner in the known snap-in device with the two interlocking parts (locking bead and nose).
  • the straight-line hinge described at the outset which extends over the width of the closure flap, has one side at the beginning of the width and the other side at the end of the line extending transversely across the closure flap. In this sense, there is a protrusion at one end of the straight elongate hinge and the other protrusion is at the opposite end.
  • the edge of the pouring opening is inclined at least in the area of the hinge with respect to the plane of the pouring opening towards the inside of the package.
  • the projection can be inclined outwards.
  • the edge of the pouring opening can also be inclined at a similar angle to the tube axis. This results in a particularly good stabilization when keeping open, because the projection, which can preferably have the shape of a horn, then comes to rest vertically on a support surface when the locking tab is in the open position. Despite this very stable hold-open position, reclosing is very easy because the pin-shaped or horn-shaped projection can be easily pushed past this obliquely positioned edge of the pouring opening.
  • the opening device according to the invention with the measures described above is particularly expedient if, according to the invention, the cover is essentially flat and made of plastic.
  • Thermoplastics as is known per se, are particularly suitable for this.
  • the essentially flat cover is arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis 1 of the tube of the pack, not shown, this tube axis 1 being shown in dash-dot lines in FIG. 1 and perpendicularly on the dashed line of the hinge 2; but is also perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis 3 of the pouring opening 4, which is also shown in dashed lines.
  • FIG. 2 shows the edge 5 of the pouring opening 4, which is approximately boat-shaped in plan view and which is arranged parallel under the edge 6 of the closure flap 7.
  • the lid shown has an outer first plane 8 and a second inner plane 9 which is offset at a distance a from it downwards in the direction of the tube axis 1 and in which the pouring edge 10 lies, which is close to the tip 11 of the Pouring opening 4 is located on the pouring side.
  • a horn-like or pin-like projection 12 is shown attached to the lower edge 6 of the locking tab 7 on each side thereof.
  • this pin-shaped projection 12 is almost invisible in the direction of the interior of the package.
  • the pin-shaped projection 12 is set at an angle of 10 ° with respect to the tube axis 1 and stands vertically on the likewise inclined edge 5 of the pouring opening 4 in the open position in FIG. 2.
  • the edge 5 of the pouring opening 4 thus supports the closure tab 7, which is in the open position according to FIG. 2, via the pin-shaped projection 12.
  • the locking tab 7 pivots clockwise around the hinge 2 when looking in the direction of the straight-line hinge, i.e. in the figures shown from the front left to the rear right.
  • the pin-shaped projection 12 is held essentially in position, while the edge 5 of the pouring opening 4 is deformed in the area of the hinge 2, so that the projection 12 can be pressed past the edge 5.
  • the edge 5 of the pouring opening 4 is again in its manufacturing configuration and is in turn able to support the closure tab 7 in the position of FIG. 2 in the open position.
