Abstract

Dans un projectile sous-calibré, une coiffe détachable (10) est constituée de segments (11) dont les bases (14) sont fixées entre une plaque de pression (15) et un élément de pression (18). Pour assurer un détachement fiable et précis de tous les segments (11), le bout avant de chaque segment (11) présente deux surfaces (40, 41) inclinées l'une par rapport à l'autre, en forme de toit, (40, 41) et constituant une tête (42).

Claims (8)

  1. Projectile sous-calibré avec un noyau (1) et une gaine (10) largable ouverte par des forces aerodynamiques, la gaine étant composée de segments (11) qui passent par des nervures formant membres de rupture dans des pièces de base (14) rattachées à des moyens de propulsion (15,16,18,31), caractérisé en ce que la partie amont de chacun des segments (11) comporte deux surfaces (40,41) inclinées en regard à la manière d'un toit, qui forment en amont un faîtage (42) situé dans un plan de symétrie (43) du segment, ce plan de symétrie (43) contenant aussi l'axe longitudinale (36) du projectile.
  2. Projectile sous-calibré selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le tracé du faîtage (42) radialement vers l'intérieur est incliné vers l'aval.
  3. Projectile sous-calibré selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les surfaces (40,41) inclinées à la manière d'un toit sont entourées à leur périmètre d'une paroi cylindrique (44).
  4. Projectile sous-calibré selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les segments (11) enrobent le noyau (1) de projectile et le dépassent en longeur au delà de sa pointe (2).
  5. Projectile sous-calibré selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les moyens de propulsion (15,16,18) attaquent l'extèmité aval (6) du projectile (1).
  6. Projectile sous-calibré selon la revendication 5, caractérisé en ce que les pièces de base (14) des segments (11) sont serrées dans les moyens de propulsion entre une plaque de propulsion (15) et une pièce de pression (18).
  7. Projectile sous-calibré selon la revendication 6, caractérisé en ce que l'extrémité aval de la plaque de propulsion (15) est pourvue d'un mandrin de centrage (17) enfoncé dans la pièce de pression (18).
  8. Projectile sous-calibré selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les segments (11) individuels ne sont pas reliés entre eux.
