Definitions
- the invention relates to a pressure-absorbing insulating plate, comprising a dimensionally stable plate body made of heat-resistant material, the plate body having at least one opening in the direction of the pressure load and the opening enclosing a pressure almost completely absorbing the pressure on the circumference during the intended use.
- Such an insulating plate is known from DE 31 35 006 A1.
- the insulating plate is provided for pressure-resistant thermal insulation between a press plate and a heated tool attached to it, using a pressure-transmitting element which is designed as a ceramic body.
- the ceramic bodies are inserted in recesses and fixed in place with an adhesive.
- the insulating plates have to be highly heat-resistant and, on the other hand, they must be able to absorb mechanical loads, preferably pressure loads from presses or injection molding machines.
- mechanical loads preferably pressure loads from presses or injection molding machines.
- the known plate bodies have unsatisfactory performance properties.
- the material is designed in such a way that it has good heat resistance up to approx. 300 ° C and at the same time can withstand the pressure that occurs.
- a heat resistance up to approx. 300 ° C is not sufficient for many applications, so that highly heat-resistant materials are desired, which can also absorb the mechanical pressures occurring in the machine tools.
- the invention has for its object to further develop a pressure-absorbing insulating plate of the known type such that it has a significantly higher heat resistance and at the same time is able to absorb the pressures occurring in the machine tools.
- the opening surrounds the bolt at a circumferential distance.
- Such a configuration is advantageous in terms of avoiding tension between the plate body and the bolt arranged therein.
- this configuration is also advantageous in terms of production technology, since precise fits can be dispensed with and the tolerances can thereby be chosen more generously. This is economically economical to manufacture.
- the plate body is made of a highly heat-resistant material without having to take mechanical strength into account. This results in a heat resistance of up to 1,000 ° C, whereby the insulating plates can absorb pressures of 50 t and more.
- the plate body can consist of calcium silicate, for example, while the pressure-absorbing bolts preferably consist of a ceramic material.
- the pressure-absorbing bolts preferably consist of a ceramic material.
- the openings and the bolt can have an adapted profile.
- the bolt can be cylindrical, for example. Both the bolt and the cylindrical opening are easy to manufacture.
- the profiles of the bolt and opening can be in the form of a captive device.
- the bolt can, for example, be T-shaped and be arranged in a T-shaped opening.
- the advantage here is that before the plate body is inserted into the machine tool, the bolts can be inserted into the openings from one side without them sliding through the opening.
- the bolts can, for example, be cylindrical and in at least a partial area of their axial extension they can have a lateral surface that widens conically in the axial direction and is arranged in an opening of a corresponding profile.
- the plate body can be vacuum-sealed on the surfaces opposite each other in the direction of the pressure load, each with a recess in the area of the openings
- Foil coating of elastically resilient material may be provided, wherein the bolt has a slightly smaller expansion in the direction of pressure loading than the expansion of the opening in the same direction.
- the bolt is preferably 0.02 to 0.15 mm larger than the thickness of the plate body.
- the plate body With the film coating, the plate body can have an overall thickness which is 0.05 to 0.4 mm greater than the extension of the bolt in the same direction. This ensures that, on the one hand, an excellent vacuum-tight assignment of the pressing tool is ensured by the elastically flexible film coating and, on the other hand, the plate body is only exposed to very low pressure loads.
- the stamp of a press first moves to the film coating, deforms it elastically and thereby achieves a vacuum-tight connection at the same time, until it then comes into contact with the bolt made of ceramic material.
- the bolt absorbs almost all of the pressure.
- the insulating plate according to the invention has only extremely little wear, which means that the service life can be increased considerably.
- the flat plate of the insulating plate is always guaranteed by the pressure-absorbing bolts, so that the end products always have a constant quality.
- the material for the plate body is economically more economical, since it only has to have high heat resistance, since mechanical loads that act on it are negligible.
- the film coating can consist, for example, of mica, the mica being adhesively bonded to the surfaces of the plate body by means of an adhesion promoter.
- mica has particularly favorable usage properties because, in addition to high heat resistance, the film coating must also have elastically yielding usage properties over a long period of use.
- the claimed insulating plate can be used, for example, in a vulcanizing tool or in a press, for example for the production of sealing rings from a polymer material.
- FIG. 1 a first embodiment of a pressure-absorbing insulating plate is shown, wherein the opening and the bolt are cylindrical.
- FIG. 1 A second exemplary embodiment is shown in FIG.
- the opening and the bolt each have a T-shaped cross section, the plate body being provided with a surface coating on the sides facing one another.
- FIG. 3 shows a further example of an insulating plate according to the invention, similar to the exemplary embodiment from FIG. 2, the opening and the bolt being funnel-shaped.
- a pressure-absorbing insulating plate 1 which consists of a dimensionally stable plate body 2.
- the plate body 2 is made of calcium silicate. Deviating materials that also have high heat resistance can also be used. 1 to 3, only a section of the insulating plate 1 is shown in a cross-sectional representation.
- the plate body 2 In the direction of the pressure load 3, the plate body 2 has an opening 4 which surrounds a bolt 5 on the circumference.
- a plurality of bolts 5 are preferably arranged within the plate body 2.
- the bolts 5 are made of a ceramic material.
- an insulating plate 1 is shown, which is particularly simple and economical to manufacture economically.
- the plate body 2 has a height in the pressure loading direction 3 which slightly exceeds the height of the bolt 5.
- the plate body 2 preferably has a thickness which is 0.01 to 0.1 mm greater than the axial extent of the cylindrical bolt 5.
- the plate body 2 deforms in the area its surface 2.1, 2.2 elastic, so that the bolt 5 is used as a pressure limiter. Due to the elastic deformation of the surfaces 2.1, 2.2 of the plate body 2, the tool used and the plate body 2 can be fixed to one another in a vacuum-tight manner. A pressure which is greater than the pressure which is used for the vacuum-tight connection of the pressing tool and the plate body 2 does not bear on the plate body 2.
- the bolt 5 absorbs this pressure.
- FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 the bolt 5 for the mounting of the insulating plate 1 is held captively within the plate body 2.
- the bolt 5 lies before the assembly of the plate body 2 with an essentially annular projection on an annular shoulder within the opening 4.
- FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 in order to clarify the insulating plate 1 according to the invention, an assignment of the bolt 5 and the plate body 2 to one another is shown, which does not occur in practice.
- the bolt is arranged within the opening without contact and is thus able to absorb the high pressures of the machine tool without the plate body being exposed to pressure loads which reduce the service life .
- the embodiment according to FIG. 3 differs from the embodiment from FIG. 2 in that the shape of the bolt 5 and the opening 4 differs.
- the bolt 5 has a conically widening diameter in a partial region of its axial extent. This configuration ensures that the bolt 5 is always centered automatically within the opening 4 when the plate body 2 is relieved of pressure. When pressure is applied again in the direction of pressure load 3, this prevents canting and a reliable flatness of the insulating plate 1 is achieved.
- the conical part of the bolt 5 encloses an angle of 45 ° with the axis of symmetry of the bolt 5. Different angles, in particular more acute angles, are also conceivable.
- the bolt 5 used in the context of the present invention preferably has a smallest diameter which is 0.3 to 3.0, preferably 0.5 to 2.0 times as large as the thickness of the insulating plate 1. Because of this ratio ensures that the surface pressure when the bolt 5 is pressurized does not assume any values which could damage the bolt 5 and thereby lead to premature destruction of the insulating plate 1 and thus to failure of the machine tool.
- the insulating plate 1 according to the invention has good performance properties with regard to extraordinarily good thermal insulation and good resistance to pressure loads.
